I ordered a framed set from my Triathlon in Utah. Since I'm from Australia and I traveled across the world to do this Championship event I was excited to see them at the Expo offering this service. I bought the simple package. It arrived in Australia by mail, incredibly well packaged to protect it against damage and in the time frame they quoted. I just received my degree plaque from this company. The quality of the workmanship is sub-par at best. There are spots and nicks all over the metal which is unacceptable. I called and spoke to a woman who claimed to be one of the owners to try and lodge a complaint and see what my options were. This woman was the rudest person I have spoken with in a long, long time. She was very condescending and talked to me like I was a nobody. When I confronted her on it she got even more indignant which put me on the defensive. I told her that the plaque was a piece of crap. She wanted me to send pictures of the plaque but unfortunately, the type of issues this plaque has will not show up in a picture and I mentioned that to her to no avail. I asked for a refund but she did not want to hear that and hung up on me. No type of care, concern, or customer service at all. I will never buy anything else from them and will not recommend them to anyone either. It is truly a shame that this person would sell out like this for $127.00. If I could give them a more negative review, I would. I will also be contacting the Attorney General. Better Business Bureau, and Chamber of Commerce with complaints about this encounter. I have done business with Fond Memories over the past 10 years and have only the highest regard for their integrity and product. Every piece has been done just as stated. Quality superb. I have referred many running friends to them and not one has been disappointed to date. I ordered my Boston Marathon display case at the 2013 Expo and after the bombing I was given a personal call to see if I wanted to continue with the order and if I did how would I want it engraved. We put Boston Strong. They went the extra mile for me. I am now anxiously waiting to receive my Dopey Challenge piece. I will also add another Boston 2014. This company was hired as the official NYC marathon medal engraver and they misspelled my name on my medal. Absolutely heartbreaking as I had really wanted to commemorate my first marathon in a special way. Don't trust Fond Graphics to spell anything correctly unless your name is a very simple English name, because their employees are careless and do not check their work. Can't believe they are in the business with the quality of the products they sell. Just received one and it's just a piece of sh!t. Have done multiple events and have several momentos from different vendors, never saw one that's this bad. I would not spend 1/4th of the price of what they charged me ($165 to be precise). Aspects of everyone elses' reviews are true, and I will throw in my couple of cents to add to the overall experience I had with Fond Memories Graphics. The Ironman 70.3 in Raleigh was held on May 31, 2015. Since this event was of some significance to the eventual recipient of FMG's memorabilia (btw, I learned very quickly that reminding people that I can RUN more than 70.3 miles in one go, and thus commemorating a race that is only 70.3 miles where most of the distance is on a bike is not advisable, bahaha), I put in an order for a bib frame on June 9, 2015. The anticipated receipt date of my order was 6 - 9 weeks, which while wasn't lickity split fast, I understood. At the end of week 9/beginning of week 10, I still hadn't received my product, and upon emailing FMG, heard back within a day that they were experiencing some issues with the engraver, and that it'd likely take 2 - 3 more weeks to receive my product, i.e., the total time could take up to 13 weeks. Sure enough, the neatly packaged product came to my doorstep at the tail end of week 13. A lot can happen in 13 weeks (3 months or so), which I know is a very obvious statement. Categorically speaking: Online ordering process: 4 out of 5 Antiquated interface that simply works. No bells and whistles, which I appreciate. Customer service: 4 out of 5 A response within 24 hours is generally considered to be acceptable by me. I wish they could institute an automatic notification system where you get an email when your product ships, or when shipment is delayed, but beggars can't be choosers. Shipping time: 1.25 out of 5 Clearly 13 weeks might have been an anomaly, but it WAS a bit slow, even by their standards. Quality of product: 5 out of 5 I couldn't give a rat's ass about these types of nostalgic products with the simple premise that I don't need anything special to remember that I ran/did a race. I actually have a similar product from my first 50 mile trail race, and I use it as a coaster/paperweight. However, the recipient of the bib frame was super excited about getting it, and promptly made a ruckus trying to find the perfect spot for it. (Incidentally, responding with "I don't care where you put it" was also not advisable, bahaha). Price: 3 out of 5 I don't know what the going rate is for this type of nostalgia, because again, I really couldn't care less. You know what makes a good finisher's award? An acrylic pint glass with the logo of the race and the year because then you can use it to drink beer/juice/water, and if you drop it, it won't break. They're about 3 bucks at any store, so spending 150$ + shipping seemed a bit steep to me, considering that the bib frame essentially came down to inserting an extra bib (probably 25 cents to print), an extra finisher's medal (probably about 3 - 4 bucks to make), a race map (25 cents to print), and a little engraved piece of metal in the middle (maybe 10$, because Petsmart makes them for pet tags, and it looks like the same thing to me). So, in essence they are turning a 10x profit or thereabouts, which doesn't sit well with me. However, after all my smart mouthed comments about how 70.3 wasn't really that impressive of a distance, and how widgets like this are better used as a shim for a faulty table leg or paperweight or coaster, etc. etc. 150$ seemed like a fair price to pay for penance. Overall: 3 out of 5 I ordered a product, and they delivered, albeit late. In all honesty the bib frame does look pretty slick, and it'd be the highest quality coaster/paperweight I own if I ever got one for myself or received one as a present. read more

Fond Memories? It's been so long since I ordered this shadowbox/frame/t-shirt... Wait... What did I order? How can I have fond memories when I forgot what I ordered? Seriously. I had to go back and look at my email to verify how long it had been since I placed my order. After nearly 10 weeks, I reached out and asked if it was going to ship soon. I was told there was a delay and it would be 12 weeks instead of 8-10. Not sure about math but that's a 20-50% overrun on the schedule. And they're not even government run! I thought for the premium price I'd get either a premium product, premium service or both. Based on past orders, I expect a good product and now half-baked service (based on delivery and communication). This was a gift so it's important to get it right since I have the same shadowbox. I'm sure if they told people there's a 12+ week production time, they'd be getting fewer orders. But then that would probably reduce production time. I doubt I'll order again. They took my money instantly for my "custom" product but don't seem to be in any rush to deliver. read more

The quality of the product from this company is poor. The first time I ordered a shadow box from them I received it and everything inside had glue all over it and the items were crooked. I contacted them and received a second one that was definitely not perfect. I decided to give him another chance and again have received another completely crooked and poorly put together shadow box. It is sad the Ironman allows them to monopolize the marked because the product is not worth the time or money. read more

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the workmanship as well as their promptness in fulfilling my orders. I have found the customer service to be top notch and they have followed my instructions of how I wanted my engraving done perfectly. I didn't have time to get my medal engraved after the Disneyland 10k and sent them an e-mail to see if I could just mail it in. It only cost $5 more (plus the shipping I had to pay to send it to them, so about $10). So glad they offer this service! I got it back 2 weeks later and am very happy with the engraving. read more

I am so impressed with every product I've ever received from Fond Memories-there are a lot as I love to compete! Most recently is the Bib Frame I ordered after completing Iron Man in Florida. You bet I want that commemorated! Ha! Admittedly, it did take a litle longer to deliver (I think maybe 10 weeks instead of the quoted 8?) but so worth the wait! He informed me the frame has NOT been shipped but will ship in 1-2 weeks. No email or phone call to inform me that the item was not going to ship in the time frame mentioned on their confirmation email. NEVER order from them! read more

I had placed an order for a shadow box for the Las Vegas Marathon Nov 16 2013. Today is Feb 4 2014 and still have received nothing. My husband also placed an order the same day & he hasn't received his either. The rep at the expo both told us delivery would be 6 weeks. I wrote the company early January and was told they were behind because of the Christmas rush. So, still nothing. Obviously they are more than willing to take the money but are in no position to deliver. So word of advise, I would shop around. You may pay a bit more, but then you have what you ask for. Ordered product at Iron Man TX mid May. I was told it could take 6- weeks to get my order. Credit card billed July 5 but today - July 23- there is still NO PRODUCT delivered. I attempted to contact company by phone twice yesterday(Friday) to get tracking info since it's been 2 1/2 weeks since card was billed but product hasn't shown. (No answer either time.) I left a voicemail requesting update on order status. NO RETURN CALL. I sent an email checking on status. NO REPLY EMAIL. Not impressed - I hope this is not representative of standard business practices for this company. UPDATE: Recieved an email today stating there was a delay getting timing results for the race, and it will be at least another 2-3 weeks for processing, and that there was no reply Friday because the business was closed that day. read more

I ordered a plaque commemorating my husband's participation in the New York Marathon. I placed the order on December 2nd for delivery by Christmas. Prior to placing the order I contacted the marathon department and was told to reflect that date in the instruction section of the order. Well. I received my package yesterday 7 days prior to Christmas!!! The plaque is fantastic --- it contains a medal, space for a 5x7 photograph, a miniature bib and a plaque engraved with his name, time and "First Marathon" on it!!! I am very disappointed with the lack of communication of this company. I placed an order with them back in January and was told on sight that my credit card would be charged when my order was being made and shipped. My card was charged back in February and still, mid-April I have not received my order. I also have not received either an email or phone call from the comapany regarding this matter. (although they have it from completing the form for my order) I completely understand orders getting backed up, but no communication is unacceptable!
