Dmytro Chornyi served us very promptly and blew us away about his knowledge of the product( refrigerators) on the floor. He determined what our space was and showed us only what he knew would fit. He knew the dimensions of the fridges without needing to check a manual, and easily and quickly listed the pros and cons of the appliances we looked at. He found us a heavily discounted fridge ( some very minor dents) which was exactly the same as the one we liked on the floor. He found the history of why the fridge had been returned and printed us up a complete manual. He is a salesperson any company would be very fortunate to have in its employ The checkout process was handled smoothly by Kadence despite the computer system being down. Complaint Regarding Poor Service and Communication - Trail Appliances (Langley/Aldergrove Location) I am extremely dissatisfied with the service and communication I received from Trail Appliances in Langley/Aldergrove following the purchase of several major appliances, including a refrigerator, oven range, dishwasher, and microwave with fan. The issues began immediately after we paid for the order. First, the store had our delivery address recorded incorrectly, which caused confusion and delays. More frustratingly, we were not informed that the oven range would not be delivered with the rest of our appliances. As a result, we were left without a stove for two weeks. Attempts to get in touch with our salesperson were unsuccessful--our calls were not returned. When I tried to speak with a manager, I was told one would return my call, but that never happened. On a subsequent attempt, I was told no managers were available. Only after I expressed serious dissatisfaction did someone make a manager available to speak with me. After several back-and-forth discussions with the manager, Roger, we were offered a mere $75 in compensation for all the inconvenience we experienced. Given the lack of communication, the delayed delivery, and the repeated address errors, this offer felt inadequate. Even after confirming the new delivery date for our oven, the company again had the wrong address on file. I had to call once more to correct this--despite having previously reported the issue. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with Trail Appliances' customer service and lack of accountability. I will not shop there again and cannot recommend them to others. read more

I highly do not recommend this store. We purchased all of our appliances in February 2025 and were told that they were in stock and would be stored for us until our renovation was completed. When we called in May to schedule delivery in June, we were informed that the stove was not available. The sales manager then offered us a lower-grade range as a replacement. then we were later told that 8 units would be arriving in Edmonton in a week and would be delivered to us once they reached Calgary. However, we were then informed that the range we ordered had been discontinued by Samsung and we had to accept an older model of the same stove. This incident confirmed to us that they had sold our range in the hope of replacing it before discovering it was discontinued. They sold an item that was not even theirs to begin with. How can you trust a company that does this? If it were up to me, I would not give them a single star. Take my word for it, take your business elsewhere. read more

The fridge had internal damage but wasn't discovered until after the wrapping was taken off prior to use. Reached out to trail appliances and they said it was past the 48 hour window it wasn't their problem. I contacted kitchenaid multiple times via phone and email, no response. I reached back out to the contact at trail only to find out that they have no contact and to use the "chat with us" feature on the website. Truly pathetic customer service. We purchased three appliances (a gas stove, a refrigerator, and a microwave/hood fan combo). At the time of purchase, the removal/installation process was discussed, and we were advised by our salesman (Ebenezer) that paying for a disconnect fee "is a waste of money and you can probably just do it yourself," so we passed on that service. We were then told that "everything can be delivered and installed the following Monday." A few hours later, we received an email from Ebenezer saying the delivery was now scheduled for the following Tuesday and Wednesday, both within four-hour windows. Shocked by having to have two separate appointments for what seems like a pretty basic remove/install, we emailed back to question it and were told, "Sorry, the two-day appointments are the only way we can do it," without any further explanation as to why we needed to waste two afternoons waiting at home for our appliances to be delivered and installed. We didn't think much more of it until we received a phone call Sunday evening saying that our appliances were now being delivered/installed on Monday again, which meant we had to reschedule our workdays again to accommodate the last-minute change. Sunday evening, I went to disconnect the gas stove. Simple enough, yes, but I didn't have a large enough wrench in the house, so I left it, figuring that the installation person could easily unscrew it before installing the new one. Once the delivery people arrived, they said that they could not disconnect or connect the stove and that a separate person had to come and do it; they told us to call dispatch to arrange it. So, they just left the new stove in the middle of the kitchen and left. Frustrated by this (because the process was not thoroughly explained to us at the time of purchase), we called dispatch to arrange the appointment, only to be told that we needed to book THREE more appointments: one for the person to disconnect the stove, a second for the old stove to be removed, and a third for the new stove to be hooked up, all with 4 hour service windows--three more days wasted waiting around! I called and asked to speak with a manager to vent some of our frustrations, which was next to impossible. Four calls later, from either our original salesman or his colleague, no manager would respond. It was almost as if they were avoiding telling him in fear of getting in trouble, or the manager was trying to avoid any confrontation. Finally, after about five hours, a "manager" called me--Jay Rendall. However, I use the term "manager" loosely, as this person is far from any kind of management material. The second he got on the phone, he was defensive, hostile, swore, directing the f*** word towards me multiple times, and had a "we're right, you're wrong" attitude about everything. He showed zero interest in listening to a customer and having a civil conversation regarding our valid concerns and the amount of time we will have lost waiting around for four different appointments for what is effectively a 20-30 minute job. His only real solution for anything was to refund us for everything and they "will come and get the stuff," which is mind-blowing considering the amount of money the credit card company would have charged the store in refund fees, but business practices are obviously not Jay Rendall's strong suit. Amazed that this person could actually be a "manager," I once again asked him what his role is with Trail Appliances, and his loose response was, "I'm a manager." I advised him that I, too, am in customer service and would never consider speaking to a customer like this, to which his response was, "Wow, good for you." Jay Rendall is a loose cannon and a liability for this business; his superiors need to seriously reconsider having this person in this position. He could have easily smoothed out the situation by just listening to a customer (a customer who just spent $6,500, by the way), but all he wanted to do was fight, swear, and prove he was right. Funnily enough, when speaking with dispatch, they advised my wife that this is typically all done in one day, and she, too, was perplexed by the situation. During the "disconnect appointment" the following day, even the technician was annoyed and said he could have easily installed the new stove, which was sitting just five feet away. However, he was instructed not to by "the powers that be" and told that he must have a second person there to help move it. This is laughable, as any able-bodied person could easily move a stove five feet by themselves. Consequently, two more appointments were needed: one for the old stove removal and the other for the new stove's installation. We were advised that the installation appointment the following day would be between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m., but the technician did not arrive until noon, wasting another morning and forcing us to take more time away from work. read more

Can't speak about the appliances and sales at Trail, but the Parts department can get bent. Coy sales rep and WAY over inflated price on the dryer rollers I needed to purchase to fix my dryer. Kudos for having the parts, but at almost triple the cost for the same parts from Amazon. I didn't have time to wait for an Amazon delivery, so this speaks to poor Samsung parts and me not ordering a second parts kit. These components are engineered to fail. Straight up will not purchase parts / service or new appliances from Trail simply based on Samsung roller mark-up. Will order from Amazon in advance b/c they'll need to be replaced again. read more

I have called twice now to look at a freezer we bought a number of years ago, and told them if its not repairable we will be buying a new one. They said because it not a Whirlpool, (its Frigidaire) they don't have a service tech to spare for a number of weeks and encouraged me to go elsewhere. We ordered a high end fridge and stove as well as a large freezer. We spent almost an hour being ignored by the sales staff in the showroom before being helped by a nice lady named Barb. It took well over an hour to order and pay cash for a fridge, stove and chest freezer for $10,000.00 Delivery was booked and paid for and we called the day prior to ensure it was correct and on-schedule. After being disconnected 3 times I finally was connected to the delivery department. Asian girl that could barely speak English answered and when I said I'd like to confirm my delivery, she replied "Your stuff isn't ready. I'll call you back"....I asked her how she could know it wasn't ready without knowing my name, phone number or order number. She said she'd call me back 3 more times and I insisted she first ask my name and number and check my order. She checked and said the fridge and freezer we're going to be delivered but the stove was "out of stock". More of a run-around and we finally spoke with Barb, our salesperson and verified the oven would be delivered 2 days later and was NOT out of stock. DELIVERY: The delivery guys were unfriendly, short and terse. They dropped the fridge in the kitchen (they don't hook anything up or even attach the handles) and dropped the freezer in our garage and left. No signatures, no verifying the order. Drop and run. As they drove away, I checked my garage and THEY DELIVERED A 5 cuft FREEZER WHEN WE ORDERED AND PAID FOR A 15 cuft FREEZER! Called them immediately on their cell 5 times. No answer. Called our salesperson and they said we only paid for a 5 cuft. Later she called back and apologized and said we paid for a 15 cuft but she entered it as a 5 cuft. Now we're waiting on them to replace the freezer and deliver our stove. Can't see things getting any better. Worst service I've ever experienced from a disorganized and disinterested company that doesn't care about their customers. TrailAppliances.com is a absolutely fantastic place to do business! 100% Customer Satisfaction Somewhat abbreviated Back Story... Approximately two years after buying a house, I was tired of the dealing with hard water spots, and I suspected the existing Kinetico water softener was not operating properly. The closest Kinetico dealer in my state was not interested in doing business due to the nearly 200 mile distance. I did some research, and discovered Kinetico water softeners were considered by many to be the best available. So I decided I would try to repair my existing Kinetico water softener, as well as the Kinetico reverse osmosis system that had stopped working. I stumbled upon TrailAppliances.com by chance while searching for information, and began a dialog with Roger. I explained I had never owned a water softener before, and was unfamiliar the operation of a water softener other than putting in the salt. After sending many, many emails, pictures, videos back and forth as well as several phone calls, Roger suspected a combination of several problems existed. He identified the control head and salt float of the water softener were not adjusted properly for my water hardness, and most likely the cause of my water spots. Roger also suspected the water softener waste water drain line might be pushed below the water level in the house drain causing a flow problem. It was. He also identified the Kinetico reverse osmosis system required new filters and full system sanitization. He also suggested that upgrading my generic air-bladder tank on my reverse osmosis system to a Kinetico "water-on-water" reservoir tank would provide better water pressure and faster refill times. As part of this dialog, we also discussed the UV filter that was connected to my system. I explained I could not find a source for a replacement bulb, which was supposed to be changed annually according to the sticker. Roger suggested a Viqua UV filter as a replacement. I decided to purchase everything from TrailAppliances.com, because of their exceptional customer service and friendly approach. With Roger's guidance, I have performed all the necessary maintenance and servicing to get my system back up and running. My wife says her skin is softer. Our clothes are softer. Our water tastes great. We no longer have hard water spots coating our sinks, showers, toilets, and fixtures. I am so happy I no longer have to use a power-buffer to remove the hard water spots every month! So Happy! So Happy! It is very rare to find a business this willing to help someone with a problem. Sales experience was good. however picking up the oven was not. incompetent people work at the distribution centre. they had the wrong price and would not release the oven until it was paid. I was willing to pay what was left on the invoice. They finally amneded the correct price. but would not load or even pick the oven while we waited for that process and help speed it up. There were very careful unloading and bringing the fridge up the stairs into our home. They waited patiently as my husband looked over the fridge with a fine tooth comb. The refrigerator hasn't been working since the time of delivery and I believe this product was delivered to me broken. We had a service technician come out over 10 days ago to tell us it was broken, and today a second technician was too come back but someone from Trail Appliances call me to tell me we would have to reschedule because you didn't have a technician to come out today and this was scheduled 10 days ago and now cooling has stopped completely. Bought three new appliances. One when we got it home had dents. They said they would replaced the doors, which was fine. My issue is when the parts came in and we couldn't find a date that might work right away for their technicians to come we were told they can't hold the parts forever and they might need to send them back?! Update: I have updated the review from 3 to 4 stars. My husband received 2 phone calls today. The first one to discuss the issue and to see if the grate could be obtained from the spare parts centre. The second call was to say they had ordered the part and it will be in in 5 - 10 days. I will wait and see and post an update when the grate is received. It was all great until something went wrong. I had a very good experience with the sales people at the Calgary South store and bought a range. Everything seemed too good to be true. I purchased on Sunday, Wednesday the serviceman showed up to disconnect the old range, Trail showed up to remove the old range and deliver the new range. On Thursday their serviceman showed up to install the new range. When he installed it he noticed they sent us two left hand grates instead of one left and one right. Now for the bad part, My husband called the cell number of the sales person and left a message. His call was not returned. Later in the day he called again and again got voice mail. He then called the store to speak to a live person. The lady who answered was polite and said she would get a manager to call us. Nobody called us. The least they could do was call and say they are attempting to contact Samsung or get the part. Apparently once they have made the sale, the customer is no longer worthy. read more

We had purchased a "top of the line" $1500 water softener from Trail that then broke within 6 months of purchase. Our water bill increased by a total of over $300 dollars above our average bills due to this, and the reason for breaking was a faulty part under warranty, nothing we could have prevented. We contacted Trail and they did quickly send out a repairman who fixed the unit under warranty admitting to a faulty part, however we still had this massive water bill that again was not our fault. We then experienced the WORST customer service. The customer relations coordinator was extremely unknowledgeable and didn't know how to read our water bill and stated that she did not have time to figure it out, even though I would have thought that this was her job, to help me the customer. After going through my bills and creating an entire spreadsheet to make it painfully obvious what was owed to us, we were met with garbage. Trail offered us 1/3 of what this breakage cost us, stating this was in "good faith" and they would do this for any customer. When we had originally lodged a complaint we asked for $100 compensation to which the customer service agent told us to wait. And that SHE wanted to see further bills to determine what was fully owed. When we came to her with our spreadsheet detailing exactly what was owed she began to back peddle. When I asked what else I should have done to care for this product (we believe we did everything the normal home owner would have done) she could not give me a straight answer and said that they "do not know what goes on in our home" putting the blame on us even though it was a faulty part that had caused the breakage. We are frequently in our basement and don't stop to listen to a regeneration cycle stop. We assume it is doing its job and will stop. It is not written anywhere that a homeowner should listen to a regeneration cycle from start to finish to ensure there are no problems present. When I asked for the manufacturers information to take this up with them she told me to go online and she wasn't sure if the U.S. or Canadian branch was better to go through, again I assume that this should be part of her job to know and have the information ready to give to her customer. Trail pushes this water softener quite hard on their customers as it is a premium product. The customer service was great up until we had an issue that we had no control over happening. No homeowner would ever purchase a product knowing that if it broke within the warranty period and caused further damage to their house, that they would be responsible for it. As first time homebuyers we are so disappointed in the lack of care that Trail has shown and would not recommend them to anyone in the future. read more

I really wish I could give them 0 stars. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Booked an appointment to have my dryer fixed before going on vacation and was told I was the first appointment of the day, so I stayed home in the morning and told my boss I would be a little late. I wait for 2 hours until 10 am and decide I cant wait any longer. I go to work and call customer service and they say they don't schedule appointments but he should be there between 10:30-12:30, I told them that someone did and I need to go to work and I would reschedule for after my vacation. I rebook and ask my retired dad to come sit at the house and wait since Trail doesn't grasp the concept that people have jobs. I'm called by the technician at 9:30 am to let me know he will arrive between 11-1. 12:55 rolls around and no one has arrived but the tech calls me and tells me he has the wrong address and that he has another appointment to get to first (he was in Auburn Bay and we are in Cranston, a 5 minute drive). I told him we were waiting all day and that he needs to come see us first, he told me not to raise my voice and hung up on me. I spoke to both a customer service agent and her supervisor who told me he would be there in about an hour, he arrived 3.5 hours after my original quoted time. Oh, and when he arrived, he told us it was an issue with the layout of the space and that he couldn't fix the problem. I live in a townhouse and there are at least 100 others built the exact same. You're telling me no one else has a working dryer? I received absolutely 0 sympathy from anyone on that entire team. These people think they're on island time or some sh*t, but we actually live in Calgary. People have jobs and other things on their schedules. Pathetic company. My Electrolux dryer is less then 2 years old and to date I have been without a dryer waiting for repairs for over four  months.  Neither Trail Appliances nor Electrolux are standing behind their warranty. Dec 5, I received a call from Trail Service who said the major mother board of the dryer would not be available until Feb 15th.  I said that was not acceptable and requested that they contact Electrolux to replace the dryer.  They refused and told me I had to work with Electrolux. I have contacted Electrolux almost weekly.  They sent out a new repair company TransGlobal who has said the same.  This dryer that is less than two years old requires all electronics to be replaced plus other parts. Electrolux will not live up to their warranty promise on their website. If it cannot be repaired in a reasonable manner, we will replace your appliance. What is reasonable about a dryer that requires all major electronics being replaced and the parts still not available 4 months later Trail is happy to sell to you, but give you NO SERVICE in extending circumstances. Like their repairman said, buy the cheapest and the extended warranty. All electronics come from Mexico or China. Buying Electrolux was a waste of money as they do not live up to their warranty. read more

Warning! You will wait and wait for your appliance to be fixed and get your life back up and rolling. It sucked. Well over a month for one belt repair on a dryer. I think they do this and make it super inconvenient so you want to go in and have to buy a whole new appliance. It must be a money grab scheme. The sad thing is that we really like shopping at Trail and have bought all of our appliances there for the last 30 years. Very loyal customers and so when we needed a repair on a dryer, I chose the brand I trusted. Well USED to trust. I called and explained the problem to the phone centre and asked if they could order the parts. NOPE. I needed a service call, so they could make money. When the service guy arrived, I told him at the door what the problem was, he turned the dryer on for 5 seconds and said, "Yup, you are right. I could have diagnosed this over the phone and saved myself a trip!". So we paid $100 for that 5 seconds of work and then he left. Nice guy btw. Bad process and bad system. I explained the urgency to the call centre several times and offered to book an appointment so that when the parts came in, in a week or so, we could get them installed within a day of arrival. NOPE. They dont do that. Why? Probably because it's too much effort for them to coordinate on their end and so the customer loses in the end. I called every day around the one week mark to ask, "are my parts in?" They always said "No. We will call you". I would ask, "can I book for a date to get them installed when they do come in?" Again, "NOPE. We can NOT book a fix it date until all your parts come in". After a week, I called and asked "are my parts in yet?" They said "Oh yes. They are." I asked "Why didn't you call me like you said you would to book my appointment??!" Why did I have to babysit my order so much? What if I hadn't called that day? Were they ever going to call me?! if no stars was an option that's what I would have chosen. We got tired of waiting for a new fridge during covid since there was no inventory of the model we were looking for. In the end we purchased the model off the showroom floor in June, 2021. The sales person and I both looked over the fridge very carefully for damage. We found nothing. The fridge looked new. There was no damage sticker when I looked at the fridge on your showroom floor, and no visible damage when both the salesperson and I inspected the fridge. When they delivered the fridge there was no explanation for the damage sticker, and I was unaware of the damage to the back of the fridge. The delivery guys wasted no time moving my fridge from my front door into the cabinet where it sat until the service guy pulled it out for repairs in April 2022. I was offered 150$ to compensate me after I emailed pictures of the broken shelf unit to the salesperson shortly after delivery. I still didn't get an explanation of what had happened to the fridge, and it was my understanding this was to compensate me for the broken shelf unit which I submitted pictures of. The service person that has been out to look at my fridge has explained to me some of the issues that I have been experiencing with my fridge from June of last year until now. Apparently it was dropped with enough force to damage the back of the fridge. As a result of the impact, the condenser fan was not working, so the fridge has been noisy since the day we got it, has been running constantly, and the fridge compartment has very uneven temperature. When he came out to repair the condenser fan on the first call, he commented that he nearly burned himself on the compressor accessing the back of the fridge. Without proper cooling from the condenser fan my compressor has been operating almost non stop and at higher than normal temperature since we got the fridge. In his opinion this likely will impact the lifespan of the compressor on my fridge. He indicated the fridge should never have been delivered in this condition. Since I am not getting any response from either the salesperson I purchased the fridge from or the Customer Service Manager my next step will be to lodge a complaint with BBB. Yes, it's the least I can do after I would have to waste my time elsewhere pricing out everything only to find out you have THE most expensive appliances in the city. We walked around for about 15 minutes completely CLUELESS about which fridge to buy. We had no idea what fridge did what, which ones would fit, or which would be right for us. There were about 3 customers in the store, two of which were being helped. The sales lady with one couple saw us unhelped and walked right past us to get something for her customers. Don't worry, we're cool. Get it, "Cool"?. No, not really, my blood was boiling. There is this huge SALES PERSON CENTRE in the middle of the store where about 15 associated were seated. Probably arsin' around or playing PokerStars.net. Ben was nice enough to finally come by and ask me if I required some help to which I asked "Are these people ALL sales associates?" he confirmed that they were and apologized that we hadn't been by sooner. Ben was awesome. He taught us a lot about fridges, stoves, dishwashers. He was exactly what we were looking for in a sales associate. The only problem is their price matching guarantee. Trail marks up their prices to extreeeeeme heights and ensures COME BACK WITH A CHEAPER PRICE AND WE'LL MATCH IT! Why. Why would I do that. I have no commitment to you and you've wasted my time by making me go check out other places. And that's what we did, we went to three more places and found that the fridge we wanted was 3499 at Trail and 2 grand everywhere else. WHAT! 1500 dollar difference is another god damn fridge! I liked Ben, but not enough to go store to store to store and finally come back out of breath and say "Here's what I have from the other stores, now what can YOU do??" Ben was a great associate, but time is money and I would advise if you're in the market for a new appliance, don't go there. They make their money on home builders and people who buy 10,000$ fridges that look like cupboards. Their prices aren't competitive and they should be doing the leg work for you, not the other way around. read more

So since writing this review still more headaches. The customer service individuals in service are just inept with supplying "the customer" with satisfactory communication. Telling me they will get back to me 11/4 rand we are now at 11/13. Phil the Canada manager doesn't return emails or calls. They state they are following warranty but you have power with the manufacturer, replace this dude of a fridge and you deal on fixing and selling this junk! Go to Coast Appliances people, and DONT buy Kitchenaid unless you want a fridge that freezes your food! read more

Going through the same runaround as the others that give them one star. 7 month old washer and dryer , washer so out of balance you can't hear yourself think. Service Tec looks at levelling nothing else, checks the dryer as well and some how shorts out something inside and kills the board. Waited for the part for a week and change, called today and like magic the part just showed up. Now instead of making this right as it was Trails Tec. That screwed up , I now have to wait a week longer to have the part installed. meanwhile my washer still dances around even with a balanced load . Sales experience was 'OK' - they gave me a decent price. But after that the experience with Trail was awful. I needed someone to come in and look at my washing machine 4 months after buying it. Even though the Customer Service rep who helped set up my appointment ensured my over and over that the service was covered my warranty - I still got charged. When I called to dispute this issue - they told me the Customer Service lady made a mistake because she is new and I should cut her some slack. TRAIL doesn't care about their customers. Just buy your appliances ANYWHERE else. read more

Just a cluster f. After ordering an item, being told it arrived, driving to Trail's Calgary location, paying, and waiting over half an hour, I was told that they don't actually have the item ordered. So, that's 3 hours of my life I'll never get back. read more

K we brought our 9 yr old Ultraline in for repairs to the sensor that releases the gas for firing. Granted it took a while for parts but we got our unit back, cleaned too. it works as good as new. I have to wonder about some of these posters and think they may be the competition. read more
