The worst tag agency in Miami. Longest lines. Then after an hour and half of waiting someone Got in front of me. I say it was my turn. The rep starts looking for any excuse to not process the title. The seller has a mild shake in hand, so rep says that I now need all these other documents.. the mileage was legibly written by seller but the rep said it was altered. "A thief will always think people are stealing". All my paperwork is kosher ; yet these idiots ASSume the worst. Huge waste of my time and energy. Don't waste yours going there ! read more

F*#@ this place. They have no idea what they're doing. I came here 3 times and was given 3 different excuses as to why I can't register my car. Their whole existence is to register vehicles in the state of Florida and they will give you every excuse not to. I finally ran out of patience on my 3rd visit and asked the manager "why is it that I've been here 3 different times and you have all given me 3 different excuses?" Her response "I don't know." Shrug. I told her nobody there has a clue as to what they're doing. Her response, "I've been here for 40 years." So even after 40 years, you still suck! CASH only? Better yet I'm baffled here it goes, Entered through the wrong door wanted to ask a couple questions and apparently on that side says dealer Department but I proceed to ask these 2 older woman that sit on that particular side and the pregnant lady I guess I interrupted her time and energy on her cellular videos and the other one proceeded to tell me read the wall it specifies what ticket is for each number , some can't even read and that doesn't even bother them one was eating crackers was on a loud laughing video the other one was eating and last one was talking to another employee and what a plain mess in that department messy at all mends wanted to get some info on a title work that I needed to verify and the 2 rude ladies answered me in the upmost unprofessional way sir go to the other side and ask them think it would be easy to just say in the most respectful and professional way. Sir I'm busy for questions, on the other side they will be happy to help you as to what you needed to do. Mind you the other one was eating and laughing as how the treated me. Wish I had gotten those names these ladies have zero tolerance for customer care then do your self a favor this job clearly isn't for you aka customer service. I went yesterday for help with something and the lady was extremely rude to me, threw my ID on the counter when she was done with me without even helping resolve my issue, and scratched the bottom of my application out without even giving me a new one or giving me any explanation of how I can go about fixing it . Dear Trail Auto Tag, I have come here the last 2 years to renew my registration. The first year (back in December 2008) was a total breeze. I came in around 10 am and walked out not even 10 minutes later. Now mind you, if you don't speak Spanish, you may find it a bit difficult to communicate with the staff, but fear not, they do make a valiant effort to keep it short, to the point, and with enough English words to get by. :) This year, as is customary with most things in my life, I was running late to renew my tag. EEK! I drove around with an expired tag for almost an entire month. Yes, I did. :( It's just not that easy to get to a Tag Agency when one has to be at the office by 8:30am, all the way on a secluded island called Key Biscayne... Leaving that island is even more challenging on an hour lunch break. But alas, I had to get it done. I came on a Wednesday around early lunch time. There were only a couple of people ahead of me, but the computer systems were all down. I patiently proceeded to wait another 15-20 minutes before they came back up, but once that happened, the staff had the line moving quickly, and I was out of there within another 10 minutes, new Tag/Registration and all! **FYI- Tag prices have gone up about 25% the lady was explaining. So make sure you bring extra cash (I only had about $50 on me and it turned out to be closer to $80, incl. late fee). Although, there is an ATM conveniently located next to the front door, for a small fee of $1.50! Thanks for a renewed registration that was not-so-painful to attain. Regards, SabrinaAnna* read more

I was not looking forward to coming in and getting my Tag renewed but I was surprised on how fast the line was and what a great service they provided. Special thanks to Alicia who took care of me and made my visit very pleasant. One thing to remember is to BRING CASH. They don't take checks/debit or credit cards. The service I received was bitter-sweet.I was there over 2 hrs waiting for my number to be called but I guess being the new year everyone needs to renew everything. Once I reach the counter my experience was great specially with the help of Lien and Ileana those two ladies made it quick and pleasant for me. I gave one star because i had to not because they deserve any. I have been here to renew my registration three consecutive years, never again. These people are THE WORST. So inefficient, so LAZY. multiple people sitting at their desks yet only 2 actively doing their jobs. They do not take any type of debit/credit card payments which makes completely inconvenient. The person who handles the finances is Past working eligible age which slows down the process even more. Theres a separate row of printers where all the tags print out and Whenever these people have to get up from their seat to give your payment to the old cashier or get your freshly printed tag it takes them 5 additional minutes per stop to socialize before you get what you need. Never going here again. Save yourself the hassle. Clearly they doing the bare minimum. read more

I made an appointment to transfer title and registration from out of state. They told me exactly what to bring with me. Cash only- they have an ATM if you forget. I walked up to the front desk, told them my name and appointment time. Mercy asked for exactly the same items that I was told on the phone, started on mine immediately, and I was all done and out of there in 30 minutes. She was very pleasant as well. read more

Absolutely fantastic organization and great people. Everyone there is at least bi-lingual and has a thorough understanding of all Department of Motor Vehicles processes and procedures, including intimate knowledge of the require documentation. I am also VERY impressed that they have multiple points of security verification, meaning no one can just rock up and transfer a title or order other items without legal power of attorney, and supporting identification. Also, they carryout their work with energy, passion and a smile. It was a pleasure to go there each day working through things - they are all a credit to their company and to the State of Florida. I have had a hard time making it to an auto tag agency because they open after I'm already at work and before I leave in the evening. I finally made it to the closest auto tag agency, Trail, this morning. Naturally, I didn't have all of the necessary paper work to transfer an out of state title. Ileana actually emailed a blank bill of sale to my father in PA for his signature. I was told that when I go back this evening I don't have to wait in line. That never happens. Especially in Miami which is notorious for terrible customer service. Probably the best governmental agency experience I've ever had. I had to pay tax on a vehicle at this office. They accept cash only. A very dangerous practice handing over large amounts of $ in clear view of everyone who also have unobstructed access to the transaction area. This cash only policy is a very disturbing practice in this day and age with alternate electronic safe means not being utilized by this establishment. They still work in the Stone Age and need to update their cash only practice for everyone's safety sake. read more

Genuine kindness to strangers is a thing that it feels like it doesn't exist here in Miami Dade county much of the time. I recently had an issue with my registration and on a friends recommendation I went to Trail Tag Agency to take care of it. Now I'm not one to usually write reviews neither good or bad because it's really not something that I care to do, but after the AMAZING customer service that I received from Ileana and Lien at Trail Tag Agency I felt that giving 5 minutes of my time to show my appreciation and gratitude for these two women who went far above what their job requires of them and helped me correct my situation. Without their help and assistance I would have spent many more hours struggling to get things resolved and find the information that I didn't even know that I needed. Their friendly and welcoming personalities and willingness to help a stranger went way beyond what they "had" to do and was a breathe of fresh air.
