As people start realizing how great of a location this is it's becoming harder and harder to book last minute appointments, but until recently this was the norm. I could usually get my car or truck looked after within 24 hours and as someone at least familiar with mechanical details I approved of all their recommendations and decisions. Occasionally there is a grumpy older man at the front desk, but he gets the job done however his mood swings. Keep in mind this is a review of this particular location. Not all locations are created equal, this is definitely the best Blaskin & Lane in Calgary, but not the best mechanic. The problem with the best mechanics is they seem to be booked up at least 2 weeks in advance. They're definitely in the top 25 in Calgary, unfortunately they don't fix everything. I would completely recommend B&L Macleod. I had a serpentine belt replaced among a few other related items. After I paid the bill, I presented my AMA card to to redeem some of the rewards AMA offers. You cannot redeem a discount AFTER purchase. My fault. In lieu of my mistake, they gave me a complimentary tire rotation. read more

I've been here twice for my tire blow outs, and I was especially impressed when I went in today. I explained to the guy behind the desk that I wanted to replace my blown-out winter tire with my summer tire until I could buy a new set of winter tires, since they're on their last legs anyway. He didn't give me any lip or try to upsell me on anything else. He suggested moving my rear tire to the front to give me more traction, which I appreciated. With that, removing my useless tire from my rim, and installing my all-season tire, the labour estimate came out to $10. When I came back to pick my car up, that is what I paid. My only complaint is that whoever parked my car again half-heartedly put on the e-brake, so as soon as I turned the car on I went unexpectedly rolling out into traffic. read more

I had this place change over my tires from summer to winter in September. Recently I brought tires to Costco to have them switched back and low and behold all 4 tires had the same puncture marks in them. Some dumbass tire guy did this and never said a word. They take no responsibility for this and it could have ended badly if some guy would have put them on. Do not go to these guys. They don't care at all. read more

Recently went to Blaskin and Lane to have my tires rotated, and as usual the service was more than up to snuff. I've bought two different sets of tires from Blaskin and Lane and after the first experience ensured I bought the protection plan with my tires. The protection plan is great because they rotate my tires, check my brakes, and fix my alignment for the life of the tires. Which means the tires last even longer... read more

I just received the BEST costumer service I have ever had at from a tire shop. I wasn't sure what was wrong with my car and vaguely described the noises my car was making...plus I really needed new tires. I brought it in and got a call a right away and they explained the problem. I'm an idiot when it comes to cars but Ryan Butterworth told me exactly what was wrong and why it should be fixed. I really feel like I'm in great hands with them!! Ryan was patient and thorough. I will ONLY use them from now on and will make sure all my friends and family know they are the BEST in Calgary!
