5 stars does not do Trail Waggers justice - I seriously do not know what I would do without Garrett! I have an australian shepherd pup that has a ton of energy and a bit of separation anxiety, and trusting him with someone was very stressful until I came across Trail Waggers. Not only does Garrett ensure that he gets plenty of exercise, stimulation and socialization, but my pup LOVES him and it's really helped his separation anxiety. Garrett also works around my busy schedule and is always so accommodating and flexible, even with last minute / urgent requests. He is also super responsive and keeps me posted throughout the day. I worked with Garret for an Anatolian Sheperd puppy which was no easy fete! My Pony was 130lbs when Garret started working with him at 6months old. Pony was a noodle-y country boy with mediocre city manners and it was hard to find folks to work with him because of his stature. Garret treated him like the rest of the pack and Pony responded beautifully. Pony's confidence went up, he became a very civilized gentleman working with Garret. It was also an absolute pleasure having Garret in my home. He was always willing to give me updates and was very honest about any challenges but deeply compassionate about my big baby. Garrett is amazing! He is so much more than a dog walker he has helped with training our dog louie as well. Louie comes back Tired after his walks with Garrett. Louis had trouble with recall when we started with Garrett and now he is so much better at all off leash recall. Garrett is really like a family member for my two pups here in San Francisco. The dogs say it all- they are overly excited every morning to see him! He treats my dogs like they are his! He started providing daycare to my pups since Nov. 2016 when my second pup, Jack, was just a 4m old. Jack probably thinks Garrett is his dad :) My older dog, Basil, is so well-cared for, especially since she has some health issues. Garrett is very knowledgeable about all animals, has a heart of gold, and is a natural caregiver. He provides for them a healthy balance of fun exercise, comfortable relax time in his pet-proof/safe home, and maintains consistency in making sure the dogs always remember their manners! My dogs are better behaved around him than me! I believe he's worked in nursing and at vet clinics so I completely trust my dogs in his care, especially if there is an emergency. I often travel for work and the pups happily stay at his place. I don't even worry one bit and actually rarely check in on them while I'm traveling. He's very communicative, responsive, and professional. He runs a caring business and it is evident he does this for his love for dogs and all animals. Garrett started caring for our little puppy when he was just about 5 months old, and he has been he absolute best addition to our routine. Our pup is always so excited when he is picked up. As puppy owners with busy lives, living in a city, we weren't sure how it was going to work but Garrett has made it all possible. By our second visit, my dog was literally pulling me from the car to Garrett's front door and went in with him without even looking back. Let me tell you... that NEVER happens with my dog as he typically has a bit of separation anxiety. Garrett has been super accommodating with my schedule, and has saved me in times that I've needed last-minute doggy daycare. We haven't yet done boarding, but we would trust him completely when the need arises. He truly treats dogs as if they were his own, and reinforces good behavior and training which is always a plus. My dog Milo absolutely loves Garrett. I started working with Garrett and dropping off Milo for daycare when he was about 16 weeks old and Milo always gets so excited as soon as we get to the house. And I can see how much Garrett understands and cares for dogs of all sizes and ages. He is amazing with Milo and I can trust him a 100% with anything related to Milo's care. I've also had Milo stay with him for overnight boarding and didn't have to worry about a thing. Milo loves every minute with Garrett. And not only that, he also sends me regular picture updates so that I can also be part of his day. And most recently, when Milo got neutered, Garrett has been amazing and accommodating - still taking him in for daycare and helping him throughout his recovery. Garrett is AMAZING! My husband and I (& dog Olivia) moved to SF, and had a difficult time finding dog walking and overnight options for our energetic boxer mix. We were using pet facilities over in the Bayview area, but the drive was so long AND it was so expensive for Olivia to just hang out in a fenced area with other dogs (with no walks/ sleep in a crate sized room at night). We had a 2 week vacation planned, and I did not want to leave Olivia at a boarding site for that long. We heard about Garrett from our neighbors whose dogs walked and stayed overnight with him. I was nervous to send Olivia due to leash reactivity problems (we were working on), as well as food protectiveness around other dogs. When we first met Garrett, Olivia immediately loved him. I shared my concerns about her problem behaviors, and he assured me he had worked with many kinds of dogs and felt she would be just fine. After the first overnight stay & hike with the pack, Garrett said she did great. He quickly became our go-to for random dog walks and overnight stays. She soon stayed with him for 2 weeks while were out of the country. I felt completely at ease knowing she was getting plenty of outdoor exercise, dog socialization, and cuddles at Garrett's home. When we returned, she was so happy and healthy (usually she is a zombie after a long stay at a dog boarding site) and also demonstrated a decrease in problem behaviors! We love that we don't have to pay a monthly mortgage to be a part of a dog walking group- he is flexible & easy to communicate with, and Olivia can join pretty much any day we need her to.
