The sites are extremely spacious and well set up as the owner is also a coach owner. The grounds are immaculate and they host music evert Tuesday night that includes catered food from local vendors. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. During our stay we went to a small town festival and a local county fair. The owners are continually working on improvements on this new campground. If you are traveling through the Rice Lake area this is definitely a resort to stay at. You are not treated as a customer at this resort but truly as a guest. We will definitely be back.

It has a play zone for the little kids, some arcade games that you can play to win tickets, a snack shop, and the rink. It also has lots of seating for spectators. Skating was fun, and I love all the different special skates and games, but after making 3 song requests, we realized that they do not take requests. They also played the Big Guy song by Ice Spice, which was just annoying. Also there was this 14 year old boy and his girlfriend getting very physical. It was very uncomfortable for us, and even though the employees saw it, they said nothing. We ended up needing to go over to them and tell them to break it up. Ive been coming here since I was a little kid, and never experienced something quite like this. But, over all I would recommend Skate City for families and anyone who likes to skate or play arcade games, especially because admission is so affordable.

You do need your state park sticker or at least a day sticker to enjoy this otherwise it is free. Very affordable way to spend the day and take in nature. We decided to take a glorious walk on the trails. We encountered some wildlife and I almost had a heart attack when after navigating a big ass hill almost stepped on a garter snake when i was trying to cool down --that little sucker was slithering among the leaves. YIKES!!! It is a mostly wooded dirt trail that is surrounded by many smaller bodies of water on both sides. So cool....the sun shines down between the taller trees and you can hear nothing but the wind, the birds, and some bullfrogs. LOVED IT!

IT'S IN THE CHIPPEWA MORAINE STATE RECREATION AREA ABOUT 2 MILES EAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF HWY M AND HWY 40. The Chippewa Moraine Ice Age Unit, aka Chippewa Moraine State Recreation Area, has an excellent interpretive center on a beautiful hillside. My wife and I walked one of the trails on a beautiful, crisp fall day in September. Some of the trees have started to change. There are 3 trails that start on the north side of the David R. Obey Ice Age Interpretive Center. Rolling terrain, the breeze rustling the tree leaves, splashes of sun on the forest floor, little kettle lakes: awesome northern forest beauty! Now a little history lesson. From what I know the trail started in the mid 1900's thanks to a guy named Zillmer. A variety of people pursued the idea: they are called the Ice Age Trail Alliance. There is now over a 1000 miles of trail in Wisconsin. Kudos to them! The Interpretive Center is extremely well done. It has quite a bit of hands on things to do that would be great for elementary school kids. (This includes holding a garter snake.) Junior high and high school kids who enjoy geology and animals would like it too. The interp. center is a couple of miles east of the intersection of Highways 40 and M near New Auburn. The staff member on duty was Jeanette: knowledgeable, friendly and helpful Free; no trail fees. It's so beautiful it deserved a donation.

Great facility, affordable prices, friendly staff…read more Not only is the facility roomy, it also has lots of amenities including a cardio room, free weights, peg machines, racket ball court, powerlifting equipment, showers, and a guys and girls sauna. I was definitely impressed by the amount of equipment available. It's also nice that members have 24hour access to the gym. The staff is also extremely helpful and friendly, which is definitely great to have, especially if you're new to working out at a gym. Overall: would definitely recommend, weather your looking for a gym to get a membership at, or just in town visiting and want a clean, high quality place to workout.
