He recommended piping be put underground, being late in the day he showed up the next morning to assess the situation and accused the builder of a 6 year old house that the gas line was 'not up to code'. I contacted the builder concerned who reassured me it was with photos and a video. He then reassessed the situation and determined it was ok then said he would be "right back". He never returned that day. It being day 2 with gas for hot water, i contacted another plumber. I texted him and figured he didn't want the work. He called back and said he still wanted to complete the work, but said he had 'emegencies' that day and forgot to contact me. I said that's fine but i need a fixed bid. He said he could provide an estimate but "didn't know what he was going to find" in the ground. Which is not a "fixed" bid. The new plumber showed up the next assessed the situation and determined that digging was not required and gave me a firm cost. They had my gas back on by the afternoon. Meanwhile, I told Jerry i would pay for the work completed as I felt bad. He showed up to my house without notice and demanded payment then as 'he had to be somewhere'. As I was out i told him i could leave him a check when i got back but couldn't magically appear at that moment. I ended paying Jerry for the 'work' he completed. A nice fellow, but not very focused on the customer's situation. He recommended unnecessary work ( a bunch of needless trenching) and needless anxiety (by suggesting my gas line was not up to code and the house may 'blow up'). And i spent $460 on nothing but grief and a 2 day delay. Wouldn't recommend. Find someone else.

We had a very disappointing experience with S&G Carpet…read more The initial installation was extremely poor, staples and nails and screws were left exposed on the carpet and also thrown on the floor (a safety hazard, especially with small children), debris wasn't cleaned up, and there was even a spill that was not disclosed until we pointed it out. The carpet also had to be redone due to workmanship issues, requiring multiple return visits and extending what should have been a straightforward project into several days. (Install was Monday and was finally properly completed on Thursday) While the company eventually sent a different installer to correct the work (2 more times), the process to get there was frustrating. Communication from management was argumentative and combative at times, to the point that I did not feel comfortable meeting alone and asked my husband to be present. The tone of the interaction was noticeably different in person. We ultimately reached a resolution, but it took far more effort than it should have. After spending nearly $8,000, the level of workmanship, professionalism, and overall experience simply did not reflect the value we were promised. I would strongly recommend closely monitoring any work done and documenting everything if you choose to use this company.

I was told that it would be "made right" and I could go ahead and put furniture in the room and they would take it out and put it all back when the new carpet got in. In the meantime, I decided not to put the furniture in, to save them the hassle of taking it out and putting it back in again. I put the mattress and box springs on the floor and have slept that way ever since. I was expecting a resolution within a few days to a week... it has been almost 3 months! It is obvious after I call at least once a week, get nothing but promises of "we'll make it right", no follow up communication, and now my calls are not even being answered, that they do not intend to "make it right". I was expecting so much more due to the referrals I got to this business. I am extremely concerned that they would treat a senior citizen or anyone in this manner. It appears if everything goes well it is good, but if there is any glitch, it is awful! Sadly, my experience has been the latter!

I…read morecalled and spoke to Ramm about getting our old outdated electric panel replaced and relocated outside my house instead of in my master bedroom closet. He came by and looked at what and where we needed his services and then was able to prepare a quote on what it would cost. Ramm messaged me the quote that evening after looking it over i was pleased with the quote and accepted it. We then agreed on a day for the job to be completed. Working with the city for permits. And i scheduled the temporary power disconnect with the power company and a reconnect for that afternoon. Ramm and his helper Frank arrived early on monday so he could be here when the power was disconnected. They got started on replacing and relocating the power panel. Which was an all day job i didnt realize it was such a complex job. They worked all day on the project and was ready for the city inspector and past the inspection with no problem. The city then released the House to be reconnected to the power grid. I can not stress enough how pleased i am with the QUALITY of the work and how good it all looks. And now i feel much safer in my home with my elderly Mother living with me with a new updated electric panel that is up to current code. He was done in about 30 minutes and charged $250 labor for a bill totaling $360. I had to track down the itemized invoice to find the cost breakdown and when I called to complain,I was told that was the set labor charge that Mr Appliance internally charges across all its businesses for this repair. In short, management response to me: firm and, in my opinion, unfair. We are taking our business elsewhere and recommend you do likewise.
