I wanted to receive both my CPR and first aid there but was told I could only do the CPR that day. I did it and left after the test. The gal who was teaching the class started hitting the AED to activate it, and it was yelling out orders wile I was taking the test 10 feet away. She seemed to have no respect for me taking the test and I had to yell out for her to knock it off. She apologized and stopped it. But it was not professional and I have not experienced anything like this before. I put my correct e-mail address for her so I hope I get my card soon or will have to take action like others on this platform. Been coming here for years! It's nice to be able to get ACLS and PALS completed the same day. Everytime I've been here for class, the class size is small enough that we learn on a personal level. I have major test anxiety and taking my recerts here have been nice because if you have questions, they don't make it seem like... wait you have experience but you DONT know the answer? Some Tips.... I really didn't want to go get my recertification because I knew how dull and boring this class would be, I've taken many in the past. Since my boss paid for it, I couldn't get out of going and I do need the certificate for my job, so I went. I'm so glad I did! Victoria Burke made it encouraging, upbeat and interesting. She gave us little memory hooks to help us remember what to do in an emergency and taught us WHY we were to do things in a certain order. Attended a AHA BLS CPR renewal course with Jeffrey Prince instructing and gotta say, was a great class! As a former CPR instructor for many years, I recognize the importance of this material. It's a gifted instructor that can create just the right environment to facilitate learning. Jeffrey uses demo's, hands on, and humor when teaching. The room is comfortable, ample seating and the registration process was a breeze. If I can give this please 10 stars I would. I have Victoria and Alan today. during my ACLS and BLS course. I feel like I learned so much. I am about to graduate nursing school and I really wanted to have a good grasp on both BLS and ACLS. The only reason for 2 stars is because the online class l/test was good and user friendly. The missed stars are for lack of communication and follow thru with providing me my BLS card in a timely fashion. This company contracts with the hospital I work with. I did the online training for the hybrid class and did the in person skills through my education department. I completed everything June 11th and have emailed and called multiple times to ask when I will receive my electronic bls card. As of today I have yet to receive my card. No email back and no call back. My education department has tried multiple times as well. Hopefully my hospital will stop using training solutions because this is ridiculous. I think it's rude no one has returned my emails or calls to even update me at least on a time frame. My next step will be to contact BBB and file a complaint. read more

My mom and I took a class with Lisa Lipkins on June 12 2021 and Lisa was absolutely amazing!! Lisa was friendly and approachable, the class time was definitely well spent, and the material was easy to follow. She made the class so much fun and had so much energy. The class itself is pretty long especially on a Saturday morning so it was fun to have a teacher with so much excitement. She explained everything to us in detail and had us demonstrate in front of the class to make sure we understood each CPR procedure. She answered our questions and went into detail about each procedure. She was a joy to work with and we're going to request for her the next time we renew our CPR card! I'd first like to start of saying DO NOT PAY TO TAKE A COURSE HERE. If I was able to give zero stars I would. I took the BLS course a few weeks ago at this location. I can't say I learned anything in this class. Luckily, I have been taking CPR classes since I was in middle school, so I am very well versed in what to do in an emergency situation. When I arrived for the class, the instructor (David Arellano) immediately asked how many people in the class had never taken BLS training before. After a few people raised their hands, he explained that the class will only be 45 minutes (rather than the 3 hours allotted) and he will give us only the information needed to pass the test and if anyone had any questions... don't ask. Apparently he didn't want to waste anyone else's time (although I think he meant his own time). Throughout the class I found him unprofessional and very unwilling to actually TEACH how to do proper BLS. He generally spewed out the information needed to pass the test as promised and nothing else. If anyone asked for clarification, he rudely repeated exactly what he had just said (as if that makes it any clearer) After a few quick go-throughs of CPR on our practice dummies (not even to practice the infant of two-person CPR) he let us take the open book exam. Like I said before, I luckily had taken CPR many times prior to this class. And the test was difficult even for me! I can't imagine that the people who had never taken BLS training before could have possibly learned a thing. One of them was getting this certification to become an EMT... I hope he does not show up at my door if I ever need it!! Lastly, I paid the extra $8 to receive my Continuing Education credits, which are needed to renew my state license and it has been extremely difficult to get them to send the certificate to me. I have left numerous messages, with no returned call and now when I call, the voicemail box is full. They obviously do not care to check it or about any type of customer service. read more

I took a class in August. They said we would receive our certification in a few hours after completing the class. I never did. I also ordered a mini first aid kit and they said they didn't have any left but would mail it to me next week. I emailed and called several times about the certification and I finally got an email back saying it should be in my spam folder but attached it anyway. The tone of the email was rude. Its 2022 I know to check spam and it never arrived. I STILL have NOT received my first aid kit. I've reached out several times with no response. I want my money for the kit back asap. read more

I have been taking ACLS, BLS and PALS with Training Solutions since 2015. I have had nothing but great things to say and I have recommended them to my colleagues many times in the past. Unfortunately, this time my class was rescheduled from 1pm to 8am the evening before the class without apology or explanation. I was not able to make it at 8am so I requested a refund. I was left with the task of finding a class elsewhere before the end of the month during the holidays. Super inconvenient and stressful as we all know we are not able to work without these certifications. My refund was processed, but no courtesy call or offer to reschedule. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I paid close to $200 to be disrespected and to not receive the services that I paid for. Me and Mom attended a cpr and first aid class like we do every two years and never experienced such a problem with training solutions. But this year, my experience was beyond horrific and I will never do business with them again. After about 10 days of taking classes, my mom did not receive her certification card for cpr and first aid. I called on Thursday,Jamie called me back Monday morning and left me a voicemail. When I called backed, Diana picked up and told me that I had put the same email for both my mom and I when I tried explaining that I could not possibly do such a thing because John had confirmed the email addresses, she decided to accuse me of lying and yelling and ended up hanging up on me and did not pick up on me when I called back. I have no way of reaching them. No one will pick up. I paid about $200 dollars to not get the services I was supposed to receive. However, I will assure you that I will not let this fraud take place and I will escalate this if I do not receive what I paid for. I would also like to add that supposedly Diana is the manager and a place that is claiming to be in business for 45 years does not have higher management. This place is a sham! I read the reviews here and I noticed the good reviews are all years old. If I had reviewed Training Solutions my last renewal, my review would have been different. But something has gone horribly wrong here in the last two years. As is the case with all Healthcare Professionals I need a current and valid BLS certification to work. Mine came up for renewal so I registered with Training Solutions. Every CPR/BLS/AED/ First Aid class I have ever taken we were given our cards at the end of the class. Not here; not this time. We were told our cards would be mailed to us in the next day or two. Several days later I received an email asking for feedback. My feedback was I still had not received my card. I received a reply- "I looked into where your card is and I am told it has been mailed out. Please contact me if you do not see it in the next day or so. I apologize for the late card. Cheers, Erik Godfrey NREMT-P Director of Operations Training Solutions 818.703.8819 ext.1003" Several days later, no card so I contacted Mr. Godfery. No card, no response. I did this for several days. No card, no response. 10 days later my card arrived postmarked 4 days AFTER the day Mr. Godfrey had informed me it had already been mailed out. But wait! There's more! We all arrived for the 3 hour class, found our seats, the instructor came in, started a DVD, and left the room. She came back when the DVD chapter ended, pushed the "Skip Ahead" button, then the "Play" button, and left again. That was how the class was taught. 3 hours of class in 30 minutes of watching selected parts of a DVD. I hear you ask "Did you voice your concern on the anonymous Evaluation Sheet?" Unfortunately the anonymous Class Evaluation Sheet is printed on the back of the exam with your name on it. No anonymity. read more

I debated between giving 2 or 3 stars, but ultimately decided to go with 2. The Positives The process of signing up for the class was very straight forward. The gentleman teaching the course did a fine job, his name is John. John knows his stuff and doesn't bother going through the tedious regimented and very long video journey. He explains the things you need to know, how to do them effectively and efficiently, and he tends to make jokes lightening the mood of a rather dry subject. The office is set up in a normal semi-professional way with enough space and tables so each person is able to have their own simulation mannequin. They also provide coffee and snacks. The Issues The secretary/receptionist seems friendly enough, but I am not too sure if she cares much about doing her job other than a friendly smile and showing you where things are. Let me elaborate: before I signed up, I wanted to ask a few questions to confirm the info I was given by my professor on a sheet that listed several choices to take my BLS. Training Solutions seemed reasonable enough in price and there was no need to take an on-line test prior to arriving for the course as some do. So, I sent and email to the person on the site to contact for questions with the name of Vicky. Several days later, no response. I call and leave a voice mail, no call back. I call again and leave another voice mail and no call back. but I read the reviews and everything seems in order and I assume, by benefit of the doubt, they are busy this time of year, maybe shes sick, whatever, and decide to register and pay my $80 which included a booklet. I get there and greeted with a smile and handed a very nice new booklet that contained a quick reference guide (I guess that's a positive too). During the course John says we can purchase some CPR kits to keep in our car or wherever for 50% off the usual price. I purchase the portable mask kit and two small key-chain mouth barrier kits for a total of $16, great deal. However, the thing is you have to give him your CC info and he writes it down to enter later; normally I don't like or do that method, but I want to leave and the items seem well worth it...I should always go with my gut. NOT ONLY did it take a freaking week, but I was charged $20.02! Sure it's only $4 more, but come on, don't scam people by failing to mention taxes or fees which I assume that's the case! I would have still made the purchase had he been upfront..my bad for not asking I suppose; at the same time information like that should be disclosed obligatorily! So, here it is a week later,I decide to call and inquire and confirm the $4 over charge, and guess what? YUP! I get the voice mail of Vicky and IT'S FULL! Of course it's full, no calls are ever returned and probably because she never checks the damn thing. What the hell is she doing over there? Maybe it's still an assumption on my part, but since I gave the benefit of the doubt in the first place, I now feel I was taken advantage of! I will NOT be using or recommending this place and I hope they go out of business! Terrible, horrendous, deplorable, lazy, good-for-nothing customer service!!! read more
