I am applying for a CNA program and needed to take a BLS course to get in. I stumbled upon CPR For Life through the American Heart Association website. I am BEYOND pleased with the experience I had and will definitely be back when it is time to renew. The class was me and one other person and I was really thankful for that. Our instructor Hollie was amazing and made sure we understood everything we were being taught. Having such a small class really made the learning more hands on. We got more direct attention and direct feedback. We learned everything necessary for CPR and BLS. I felt confident leaving the office that I could easily implement the skills I had learned. GET YOUR CPR TRAINING HERE! So many classes to choose from and available as soon as you need it. The price was very fair, best money I've paid so far to renew my CPR cert. First, the parking is abundant and FREE! The building is easy to find and not far from the 118 freeway. Hollie, the instructor for my class was very professional, knowledgeable, a good speaker and relaxed. She knew the material well and knew how to teach and discuss it in a way that was interesting and not boring. All questions were entertained, discussed, and answered. I am so glad I came across CPR For Life. My BLS certification was due before I left on a trip and I decided to take a class with the Red Cross, which was a pricey $85. I then found out two days before leaving on my trip that it was not accredited by the AHA and I would have to take ANOTHER class the day I had to leave to the airport. The staff at the Red Cross (who knew I was in the medical field) failed to inform me that it would not be accepted and that I would have to re-take this class. I called Lisa, the owner, and she was extremely helpful and made sure I was taking the correct class (AHA approved for those working in the medical field). They were able to get me into a class last minute, and assured me I would get the certificate on the same day! Perri taught the class and was so nice and informative and really prepared us for different situations. This was my first time learning CPR and I had the best experience. My instructor, Perri, did a wonderful job teaching and coaching us. She was very kind and helpful which made the experience enjoyable. I am grateful for this class still being held (with social distancing) even during the COVID pandemic. The class size was small which allowed us all to get individualized attention. Sign up was easy and seamless, all my questions were answered, and I received my card the same day. I'm so glad I took this class! I had to do CPR First Aid and Pediatric for work and had such a hard time finding the right place looking online and when I called CPR for life they were super informative! I set up an appointment over the phone and was able to enroll in a class in less than a week. My class ran about 6 hours which may sound long, but let me tell you the time goes by so fast because of how awesome Perri is! She makes it fun, easy, and most importantly stress free. I felt very welcome the moment I walked through the door and you could tell that everyone else in the class was genuinely enjoying it. What I loved most about her style of teaching is that she walks you through the steps carefully and makes sure everyone is comfortable and ready to move on to each new part. This was definitely worth it and I gained knowledge not just on how to perform CPR but also how to act in situations that involve choking, asthma, heat stroke, and so much more! My husband and I needed to take a CPR/ first aid class on a little bit of short notice. The owner was very accommodating and got us in the class. The two instructors were fun, friendly and very informative. The class felt small enough that we got the personal attention we needed. We ended up really enjoying the class and came away feeling comfortable with what we learned. I've been coming here the last 3 times for my Physical Therapy required CPR renewal. Very good instruction, very organized; yes, it is a legit 3.5 hours but no corners are cut. If you are dealing with potentially very ill people it is worth the time every 2 years. Appreciate that the joking , story telling is kept to a minimum. read more

This CPR experience was definitely much quicker and easier than I've had in the past. I got the online one and did that within a few days. The courses were very informative and the situational part was great being that it was online and you get to work on it at your own pace. Then I didn't know what to expect when it got to my skills portion. Made an appt with Lisa, she made things quick and easy as far as making an appt. went in on my appt time to find out it was just the instructor and I. Her name was Perri, she was nothing but the best! Very professional and made the experience quick and fun. Was out of there in less than an hour. This was my second time coming to this place for the BLS course. I originally went to another place closer to home but didn't have a great experience, so I ended up going here and it was the best decision haha. I spoke to Lisa about signing up for this class, and she is so nice! She handles everything so professionally and I never had an issue with setting up an appointment. We practiced social distancing (4 students; 6 ft apart, etc). Perri was my instructor, and she is amazing as well. She was super patient with all of us and let us practice skills a few extra times until we felt confident to do a skills assessment. I had been given different information about what to do while the AED is analyzing/preparing to deliver shock while I was taking a different course, so it was a nice refresher to see what the AHA guidelines actually were. I received my certification within the next several hours. I would definitely come back for my next renewal. read more

I have been attending BLS CPR courses since 2013 when I was first entering into nursing school. Ever since then I've been going back every two years when I need to recertify for my work as a nurse. Each time I go my instructor is Perri and she is always extremely professional makes the class fun and makes it easy to learn the updated information. I just completed my Heartsaver Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED class with Hollie. It was an excellent experience. She was very thorough and made certain I learned the techniques of each skill carefully and completely before moving on to the next. The presentation of all the material using the video along with a well written and easy to read textbook, and the variety of learning props made the day go smoothly and with unending interest. I learned many new changes in the law as well as the latest practices adopted in CPR and First Aid that will prove to be vital to me in my business. By far the best location I've done my CPR renewal course. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. They're direct and to the point. Also, I love that their class sizes are small and it's actually hands on. I've taken it elsewhere and there was 60+ people in the room and you barely get any hands on experience with the mannequin. I am a nurse. been one for 26 years. I was coming up on needing a CPR renewal. I used these guys 2 years ago and it was ok. Since I was sort of lazy I just decided to use the same guys. first of all they are pricier than most . cost me 65 bucks for the 3-4 hour class. So what is the beef? here is the beef. We listen and watch this movie that shows us how to do compressions. Then we go to the mannequins. Our instructor..goes to the radio and plays 'stayin alive' by the Bee Gees. tells us that the rhythm of the song is the same as compressions need to be. now first of all, I have a bad knee and I cant be up on my knee the correct position so I have to lean to the side a bit. so doing the compressions caused me significant discomfort in my good leg because I had to compensate for the bad knee. the instructor made us do compressions non stop FOR THE ENTIRE SONG. I was almost in tears from discomfort. ok. got to go and sit at the table after that. moving on. if you have taken cpr you know you have to feel for a pulse in the neck on occasion. So I was doing my compressions and breaths and the instructor..tells assistant instructor..'can you show her where the carotid artery is?' oh I almost blew a gasket. I loudly said ' I am a nurse.. I think I know where the carotid artery is'. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN. My good leg was sore for days. no joke. the muscles on the side of me leg were so achy. then my nurse friend tells me ..she got her cpr renewed on the computer....go figure... for 19 bucks. I am not going to be so stupid again. Do not recommend you go here. doing compressions for the length of a disco song without stopping is no fun. it is difficult.. I have never had to do it for such a length of time, for a class. Oh and the place we were at.... the bathroom had bugs crawling around.. I hate bugs. read more

I took the BLS provider CPR certification course. They ensured that I was taking the correct course. I've taken this certification course at few other facilities but I enjoyed the instruction Perri and her team gave. The videos watched covered a lot of knowledge. Also, Perri and her team also added to what the videos missed; real life instances that can help in emergencies. The course was scheduled to run 4 hours and it was completed in that time.
