Wonton noodle soup and the hottest friggin chillies ever
    Hayley G.

I got the pork and prawn rice paper rolls ($9.50) (delicious) and a regular serve of the wonton noodle soup with egg noodles ($12.50). The stock itself is obviously made with love. For a clear soup it's got a whole lot of flavour. Plus, I loaded mine with lots of fresh chilli (watch out they're hot) and bean sprouts. Definitely hits the spot if you're looking for a cheap eat/healthy Vietnamese meal. As for the restaurant itself, it's not the most aesthetically pleasing of places but it does the job and the staff are always friendly and very efficient. Just a side note ... I went there a few months ago and nearly died of thirst afterwards (I'm guessing MSG) but this time round I didn't have that problem. Hopefully someone complained and they stopped using it! P.s. I've got a food blog, feel free to follow me hayleygrossberg.wordpress.com

Nice food. Tasted authentic. Ordered pho special, clear soup noodle. Slight complaint.. couple of flies but i guess is Summer in Queensland. But...good food... well done.

Just dropped on to check out the taste of Vietnamese noodle soup, rare steak noodle soup. The taste was better than I expected and they use the round noodles instead of flat noodles. Staffs are friendly and inside is cool.

So, it was raining, I had just finished a terrible shift work and it felt like my stomach had…read morecollapsed into an aching black hole. Conscious of the fact that I needed to eat something before my stomach began to munch on my already struggling liver, I ran into the first place I saw: Yuet Wah. Now, I normally hate ordering takeout for one because you always end up with too much rice and too much of one particular meal. On occasion I have compensated for this by buying two different meals with the intention of saving some for leftovers - only to find myself 30 minutes later with peking sauce all over my face and shirt with not a morsel left. My binge eating problem aside, Yuet Wah has an excellent range of solo diner options that includes both rice and a reasonable serving of a particular meal. Being the stinge I am I was ecstatic when I discovered that I was able to receive all of this for less then $10!! As I waited for my meal I began to check the rest of restaurant out. The dining area was a little uninspired but perfectly practical. There were tables, chairs and wine buckets, but that was pretty much it. I began to wonder what this place was before it was a restaurant that seems to offer meals from every single country in Asia. It quite clearly used to be a house. What type of people used to live in a house that is now a takeaway restaurant? The point I'm getting at is that the atmosphere wasn't convincing and seemed induce bouts of nostalgia. When I returned home I quickly ate my Mongolian Lamb with rice on my bed watching some documentary hosted by Oprah about the holocaust. As you can tell it wasn't the best evening ever but it may have had very little to do with my trip to Yuet Wah. The food was decent but it isn't something you'd write home about. Regardless I licked the takeaway container clean and went to bed.

Really enjoyed the fried rice and satay chicken. Perfect ratio of chicken to Veges. Service was…read morefriendly and the restaurant was really busy for takeout on a Thursday night which is always a great sign.
