We've tried our share of other Vietnamese restaurants beyond our two favourites - Ca Phe Nam in West End and Pho An at Inala - and they always disappoint. Our favourites set the benchmark for taste, outstanding quality and value. And we now welcome Pho Hung Vuong to the favourites family. Two Phos, a Rare Beef ($20) and a Special Pho ($25), were superb with a boastful broth, fresh rice noodles and inspiring ingredients. The condiments too were generous, just the way we like and expect them, with plenty of bean sprouts, basil, chili paste and fresh red chilis, lime wedges and hoisin sauce. We made quick work of both phos and commented on how much we enjoyed them on the way to emptying our bowls. Sometimes spotting something by chance results in a welcome opportunity to experience something new. And, in this case, utterly delicious and beyond expectations. We'll be back, Pho sure!

Had the purple taro boba and it did not disappoint. Creamy and refreshing! Had the hainan chicken the chicken was fall off the bone tender, the garlic ginger sauce is spot on. Also had the Viet curry and all the vegetables and meat were cooked to perfect tenderness. For a curry it also didn't feel too heavy. Decor is classy dine in restaurant with high ceilings. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Minimal air conditioning. Service is friendly and quick. Waiting only about 10min for the food. Great place for lunch or dinner.

Thankfully swinging by after a morning of back-to-back meetings, the courtyard of Libertine is bustling with punters opting for the fuss-free lunch of a fresh vietnamese sandwich. For Day 1 it was great to see the concept off to a solid start and eating my "Bang Bang Chicken" sandwich with the breeze gently blowing and a cup of complimentary ice-tea felt like a pretty indulgent way to spend Wednesday lunch. The prices are affordable and service speedy making it a great option for the office worker escaping for lunch. Even better I'm told they offer a phone ahead service so there's even less time to wait. For me, the sandwich was top notch and if anything could have benefited from a little more pate. I began to wonder what this place was before it was a restaurant that seems to offer meals from every single country in Asia. It quite clearly used to be a house. What type of people used to live in a house that is now a takeaway restaurant? The point I'm getting at is that the atmosphere wasn't convincing and seemed induce bouts of nostalgia. When I returned home I quickly ate my Mongolian Lamb with rice on my bed watching some documentary hosted by Oprah about the holocaust.
