They start by giving you a nice soft blanket, warm foot bath to soak while they massage your head, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. Then comes the warm neck roll, ahhh. Then the chair reclines and they massage your calves and feet, ending with hot stones. We always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. You got to try it.

This place is so much better and cozier, as well as quieter. Lots of parking in the lot in back or on the street and this section of Broadway is away from the hustle-bustle of town, so you are really relaxed when the massage or facial takes place, because there is little if any outside noise. In addition to really caring about your needs, both Tricia and Jie listen to what your body needs and take care of it. There is a lobby where you can wait for your treatment while sipping on tea or water. It's warm and inviting and I can't wait to return.

I made the appointment several days in advance. Prior to my appointment I received a call to see if I could move it because another customer wanted a longer service. Unfortunately my day was packed and I was unable to accommodate. I was left with an awkward oh... and I was given options for another day. That was issue number 1. I eventually rebooked for a few days later with the same technician. When I went in I said i was there for a 4:45 appointment with the technician and was brought to another desk with someone else. I did notice the technician I was supposed to see was busy so I figured someone else was going to start. That wasn't the case. Anyhow, I figured it's a regular manicure, what could be the issue... she asked if i wanted them filed or cut, they were cut very short, not the end of the world but not what I was expecting. the cuticle pushing and cutting was quite rough and my nails are uneven. I left, figuring ok, bad day but after getting in my car the nail polish literally slid off my nails... This has never happened to me. I would blame myself if i didn't let them dry enough but I sat for a long time. I know I should have gone back but i was there for over an hour and I have no more time to deal with it today. I'll be going elsewhere.

We found the Botanical Spa & Salon on Amazon Local. So to make sure we could use the deal immediately (as in next day), I called before purchasing to make sure they would accept it. The guy told me that I didn't need to buy the deal and they would honor the price. You would just pay them instead of paying Amazon, so that's what we did. They happened to have a slot open so the timing worked for us. Turns out, it wasn't actually a couples massage. You're actually in separate, adjoining rooms, and they just leave that door open. That's fine but if that's the case, they shouldn't advertise it as a "couples massage." Other than that, the massage was nice - nothing to complain about, but also nothing to write home about. The deal also included an add-on service, which was either a back scrub or a foot mask. I opted for the back scrub. They were a little rough on that but it was worth it because my back felt really smooth afterwards. With a massage, you also get access to their fitness center, hot tub, and pool. There's also a locker room and showers but the showers are pretty dismal-looking. One of the two doesn't even have a soap/shampoo dispenser. I probably wouldn't be back because the facilities didn't seem too spa-like (especially when you're sharing with hotel guests, since it's located within the Marriott). Plus, I feel like I could find a better deal elsewhere.

My massage was incredible, it was with John. I told him that I'm on my feet a lot at work. This past week was a very busy week and I worked close to 60 hard long hours. I also told him that I ached everywhere. He worked out every knot I had! It was a little painful at first but I was in bad shape. He found knots I didnt know I had ,stretched my limbs and worked on my flexibility. I feel like a new person. I've had regular massages 2-3 times a year for years and he was the best I've ever had. The spa is nice , relaxing dimly lit. Its a little odd that you check in next door and sit outside waiting to be called in, your basically sitting in the hotel lobby. A private waiting room would be a nice addition.
