I don't normally write reviews because anyone can have a bad day, but unfortunately I think this was more than that. I get a gel manicure every two weeks. I used to go to Numi but the quality of my manicure wasn't the same so I started going somewhere else. Well last week I couldn't get an appointment at the place I typically go, so I decided to give Numi another chance. I called and they were available for the time I requested but when I arrived I had to wait over 30 minutes after my appointment time, with not even an acknowledgement that they were running late. The person after me waited over an hour after her appointment time for a pedicure. While I was soaking, I was put at a dirty station and the girl next to me said she had the same problem. When it was finally my turn I got put at another dirty station so I asked for the lady to clean it, which she did. The rest of the manicure went fine. It's now been 7 DAYS and my nails are CRUMBLING, just as if I did them myself during Covid. My gel manicure typically lasts 2-3 weeks and my biggest complaint is that they get grown out but now they are chipping and splitting. I will not be returning and I hope they fix their processes soon. read more

I'd just like to preface that this is the first (and last) time I will be going to this salon. Two days before, I made an appointment online for 4pm, to receive a gel manicure fill in. The next day I received a phone call from the salon, which I could not answer because I was at work. They did not leave a message, so I assumed it was just to confirm my appointment. I additionally received an email, as well as two text messages, confirming my appointment was all set. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, the two women at the front desk did not have my appointment marked down in their book. I thought this was weird considering the amount of confirmations I'd received the day prior. At first, they were willing to accommodate me, but when I told them I had made an appointment for a gel fill in, they told me that they only offer Gel X services and they did not have anyone available who could do that extensive of a process in "such short notice." I left, because Gel X is not the manicure I was hoping to get. I have two issues: one being that they never had my appointment marked down. I'm not sure what the discrepancy is between online booking and the salon, but they need to fix that immediately because I am sure this is not the first client who has run into a similar issue. Secondly, they need to remove gel fill ins as a manicure option on their website when booking. It is quite literally false advertisement and I'm very frustrated that I drove all the way there for them to not only have my appointment, but also to not even offer the services I made an appointment for through their website. Numi nails opened up about a month ago according to my Gel X extension technician Sonia, and they are doing amazingly as far as services offered and the way they're professionally rendered. I came from Boston looking for a nail salon that was able to professionally remove old Gel X extensions and apply a new set. For those unfamiliar, Gel X are clear nail extensions made of soft gel that are better for nail health compared to acrylics. They last 4 weeks + and look amazing on the nails! I was frantic because it doesn't seem to be a common nail service in Jersey. Thankfully I found Numi Nails! For $55 you can get a beautiful Gel X manicure, much cheaper than $80+ quoted at NY area salons. Additionally, there's 10% off services if paid in cash. I came for a gel pedicure. I was immediately greeted and taken to my space. Each seat was spaced for social distance. After having my current gel polish soaked off, another woman started cutting and shaping my nails, but I never soaked my feet. I even asked when are you going to put me soak. She responded with afterwards. I was a bit confused, I had never had a pedicure where they do everything including polish before letting you soak. But I noticed both women to the left and right of me was both being soaked first. So after the gel polish she ran the water for me to soak all of about 5 min then taking the pumice stone and doing a quick swipe along the bottom of my feet.. Even though my pedicure came out decent, the process weird and not exactly to my standards especially for the price point. read more

I was trying to find a new nail Salon who does UV gel nails and In my search , Numi Nails came up. I made an appointment and upon entering, Sonia the owner, greeted me warmly with a big smile. They take precautions with hand sanitizers and temp checks and I saw the employees wiping down my chair with sanitizer which made me feel very safe. First I had a spa pedicure which was amazing!! The reflexology massage on my feet that was included felt like heaven. When it was time for my manicure , they brought me over a basket of colors..such a huge variety and I loved it!! I showed a picture of how I wanted my nails done and they did the exact design flawlessly. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Numi Nails. Pedicure was done by a person new to doing nails. My nails were crooked and polished sloppily. Dip powder nails started to break after 4 days! Within a week I had 4 broken nails. I'm not one to write a bad review, but this was unacceptable, especially after paying close to $100. read more

I've had mixed experiences here. I had a great gel manicure last month by one of the nail technicians (sat in the middle of the row next to her sister). I went back this week and had a different tech (sat at the very end by the nail drying station) who absolutely destroyed my nails and cuticles. I came out bleeding on 2 fingers and later realized she had cut 6 of my fingers because she used that silly filing machine. Rather than letting the old gel soak off, she used the machine and over filed, leaving my nails very weak. Then she swapped out the attachment for one that looked like a spike and used that near my cuticles which immediately left me bleeding. After that the actual gel didn't go on nicely -- lumpy on the sides. I don't understand the need for the machines. Anytime it has been used has been a terrible experience. read more

The place is very clean and they are very cautious of the cdc guidelines that are in place. I went here for my first time about two months ago, they only take appointments which is good. It was me and one other customer in the place and the salon is pretty huge. They offer lash extensions and waxing, I have yet to try it but hopefully one day soon. They have a wide array of colors for both regular and gel. It took me about 15 minutes to choose a color because they all look so pretty. All the ladies that work there are very kind. I really wanted to like this place but the service is horrible. I called for an appointment and they said they were booked then they called back and told me to come in. I got there and was told they were understaffed and that was clear. I then got the worst pedicure. Polish all over my toes and my cuticles were not even cut. Then I said something and the whole thing had to be redone and I had no time for my nails because I basically had to get 2 pedicures. I was clearly upset and the owner had me pay full price. Very happy with the cleanliness and service. My friend had a gel mani and it turned out beautiful. I had a pedicure done by Elisa and she was very thorough and took her time to clean my cuticles and use the pumice stone. I had the 10 min massage option added and it was great. The hot rock at the end was everything. My nails looked better than ever in the end and I get my toes down every two weeks. The nail salon is super clean and has massage chairs. The bathroom is also very modern and clean. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back! I definitely recommend. read more

I am giving a 3 star review as my nails fell off very quickly. I had an uv gel french manicure done at this place. I must admit, my nails looked lovely and I was very pleased with them at first. However, the first nail chipped off after 3 days. I went back to fix it and Sonia, the owner, re-did all my nails on my right hand. Unfortunately, 2 of them did not last even 9 days. One fell off after 7 days and the other after 8 days. I have had uv gel french manicure done for over 10 years at other places and , on average , it lasted for 3 or 4 weeks. I have never had a problem 3 days after a completely new set was put on. I am not sure if it is their technique or the product used that is the problem, but paying so much money for nails that fall off after few days is not worth the time or money. Also, I made a third appointment to give her a chance to correct everything but someone from the place called me the morning of my appointment to tell me she was sick and unexpectedly not in work that day. I felt that was odd and had my husband call to make an appointment with Sonia, only to discover she was in work that day. The was very unprofessional and rude. read more

Beautiful salon with pleasant staff. HOWEVER i was searching for a salon that can provide a good dip powder manicure. I knew i was in trouble when the tech did not allow the top coat to just dry on its own and brought out the fan. On top of it she sprayed with the instant glue drying spray. Anyone who has powder dip manicures knows this isn't necessary. I left there with dull nails and not the shiny look of freshly manicures nails. To make it worse i was charged extra for a clear coat base which NO other salon has ever done. Not a good feeling to leave a salon disappointed in their service and price. This place is new and I have been eager to check it out. The website and location are both beautiful so I had higher than average expectations, or average at the least. My mother needed a regular manicure and regular pedicure so I called and booked an appointment for their mani/pedi combo at 2:00pm. She arrived at 1:55pm and was told to have a seat. There was one woman doing a manicure and two woman working on pedicures, it was quiet and not busy at all. Patiently waiting, she was finally seated at a pedicure station at 2:20pm. The woman who seated her went back to working on her client for the next 20 minutes. At 2:40 her service finally began. The pedicure can't even pass as mediocre. The polish is so messy and the heels of her feet look like they weren't even touched. As for the manicure, I understand you have to be delicate but one thumb is already messed up and it's been only four hours since the services were completed. A 45 minute wait for services to start and this is how they turn out? Utterly disappointed. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend. The two stars are for the look of the place. Not sure if would come back to this place again... staffs are friendly and listen to your needs but the results are sub par. Actually I've never had this horrible looking gel nail anywhere else. Nail polish is all over the cuticles and some edges aren't even covered. When I left the store, I still had the polish on my fingers which I didn't notice until I got home. Had to remove the stains on my own. Toes were done by a novice and there are some edges not covered but not as bad as the gel nails. read more
