I forgot to inform the clinic of my new updated phone number, and thus I didn't learn that my doctor would be absent due to a change in schedule. It was my fault that I didn't hear of the schedule change. That being said, the lady at the front desk (it was March 13, 2017 - 8:00 AM, whoever was working the front desk then, and I have forgotten their name, deserves recognition from management), promptly scheduled a blood draw that happened within 10 minutes of me talking to her. The receptionist is terrible. When I asked to send me invitation to patient portal and she said I'll send you reset password without listening to what I said. I said previous 3 times other staffs said to send me link but didn't happen. Anyway, I still didn't get reset password link or invitation link to patient portal. Staff is uninformed about their own services. We informed the office by phone that we were looking to obtain FMLA for my boyfriend's severe arm pain. The person said he would need to wait to talk to the doctor. Upon arrival, he informed the receptionist about the FMLA and she assured him that they did offer it. It wasn't until he was being directed towards a room he found out that they no longer accepted FMLA since 2022 through a sign on the door. I feel like this business is very unorganized. I made an appointment online to see a dr. The day of the appointment they called me to inform me that the dr I made an appointment with does not work on mondays so they are switching me to another dr. This is fine, but if you know a dr will not be available why have them be able to book online? They also let me know to wear a mask because I will not be allowed in without a mask. While in the waiting room there are two patients without masks on that are just allowed in. After a few minutes a receptionist comes out to the lobby and gives them masks to put on. It seems odd that they are let inside without their masks on if everyone is informed on the phone that you need to wear a mask. I feel like they should have not been able to enter the lobby area without masks on. When I finally get to my appointment I tell the medical assistant that I am here for a rash on my arm that is spreading down my arm. She proceeds to put the arm with the rash into the blood pressure machine that every other patient is using. Everyone in the office probably about to get this rash now because I didn't see them clean it. Then I go inside, the proceed to ask me all the questions over that I just filled out on the paper that is in their hands so I essentially answer all these medical history questions twice. Once the Dr comes I explain to him what is happing to my arm. He tells me without even touching this rash or looking at it for more than 3 seconds that this is from having a bandaid on my arm. This makes no sense because I have not had anything on this arm for over three weeks and now it is spreading down my arm. He prescribed me some cream to put on it to stop the itching. He said it should be better in 3 days. If it will be better in 3 days I am not sure why he prescribed me two huge tubes of cream. After all this when I checked out the cost of the visit was over 100 dollars. I saw this dr for maybe one minute total. read more

I don't even leave many reveiws but today was the day! I've been going to this Drs Office almost 2 years if not over 2 years. Dr Harbison is my usual Dr. Never had any issues with her, she is the sweetest Dr always listens to any concerns I have and is patient. However DR. CARTWRIGHT IS HORRIBLE! The few times that Dr. Harbison had been out and Dr. Cartwright was her replacement both times were bad experiences. The first time he told me the wrong instructions on taking my medication & I had to call and wait several days to get the corrected medication. Then he tried to also accuse me of not taking Adderall and saying he did not see it in my urine sample & come to find out he had another patients confidential file open and reviewing with me. Seems like malpractice to me. When he told me that I pushed back that's when he recognized. But what if he did not recognize? Then today I was letting him know I was considering changing my ADHD medication because it wasn't effective & I was wanting to get more insight & i also let him know that Dr. Harbison had put me on this before I just didn't remember my experience. Before I could even finish interrupts me and says the only thing I see is Adderall I'm not switching you. I'm trying to tell him I can pull it up on my pharmacy account still Interrupting me. I even pull it up and it shows I was just prescribed in October 2023 still he's shutting me down tell me which do you want? Do you want Adderall or you can leave with nothing. I'm not changing it. Extremely rude saying "this is a business." I don't deal with ADHD. You're going to have to come back 7/3 to talk to Dr. Harbison. Which pharmacy do you want it switched to" I'm telling him to give me a second so I can check still rushing me and being rude. My husband even heard and said it was sad how he was talking. I understand this is a business, and even if he can't switch me and not experienced with ADHD as a doctor he wasn't even concerned. Didn't even ask what symptoms I was experiencing. Nothing. He could've been more polite about it and put it in my notes for Dr Harbison to see but did not care. I pay out of pocket and was in the room with him all of 3 minutes. No concern at all. He treated it exactly how he said it was "a business." Collected my money to push a button to send my prescription is. I don't know who else I need to contact but I will figure it out. Because you're a doctor. Yes your job is to write prescriptions but you should have some type of care for your patients. When the girl took my blood pressure she said it was very high. Do you think he even mentioned that or had any concern or about me taking my blood pressure medication? especially being prescribed a stimulant Nope! If he was not familiar with ADHD as a family doctor & knew the only thing he could do was submit the same prescription. Then I probably should have been told prior that Dr Harbison is out & the only thing Dr Cartwright can do is send in the same prescription. Then I could've decided if I wanted to spend money to see him for 3 minutes or wait on Dr. Harbison. Also the Office manager Gia. Extremely rude as well. I said along time ago I was going to write a review for her but said I'll leave it alone. But I'll just go ahead and add her to and make a separate one for her. She's extremely rude. Talks over people. Constantly to the point I've had to tell her several times STOP TALKING OVER ME. LET ME TALK! Also I asked her how can I leave a complaint? She said she is the office manager, and when I asked other than her, she said the doctors. Then I asked, who can I make a complaint with other than her or the doctors? She said she did not know so I asked her, do I need to make a complaint with the board? She said I guess I've never done that I said how is she the manager and she doesn't know how a patient makes a complaint? When I followed up with the office later on that day about speaking with the other doctor, her exact words were " he may not answer since you want to call the board on Dr. Cartwright once you start that & wanting to call the board we can no longer help you" # 1 I never said I was calling the board I only mentioned the board when I was asking who do I make a complaint to and when she could not help me, I asked, would I contact the board to make a complaint?. #2 even if I were to contact the board you cannot retaliate by not helping a patient. I'm pretty sure that is not legal. If it's not Dr. Harbison, Anna, or the other girl at the pantego office (sorry can't remember her name). I don't want to deal with anyone else because there's no real care for patients. They're just there to collect money and it shows. Nothing against Dr Nguyen because I haven't had much interaction with him but do yourself a favor and only deal with the ladies at the Pantengo office. They're the only ones that seem to care. I will be figuring out who to escalate this to until I can find another Dr office. read more

I came in for a job interview as a medical assistant and was greeted by Betty who was across the suite in the dental part. She laughed at my current work situation & stated I was going backwards. The interview was cut short it was not a traditional 30 minute interview. At the end of the interview she gave me a fist bump which was so unprofessional. I was assigned DR. Nguyen as my Primary Care Physician by my new insurance company. I was worried at first because with his name I had concerns that there might be a language issue. Boy was I wrong. He is very friendly and actually has a since of humor. (don't find that often.) I guess the practice is new because they are still getting the office in order. Several years ago I lost my job and had some lousy insurance on Cobra. Many practices would not take the insurance. Dr Nguyen personally assured me they would accept it, and said he always tried to take whatever insurance his patients have. Since then my insurance has improved but i have stayed with Dr Nguyen. My wife started going to him about the same time I did, about three years ago my mom started going to him as well. This is an "all business" practice. You won't find a fancy lobby or granite counters. It is efficient and fast, yet they will try to always work you in or reschedule you. Tina is a maestro running a busy front desk. Dr Nguyen is a engaging physician and well educated. He will work with you to develop a plan towards wellness; he does expect you to do your homework so to speak towards hitting your health goals. He has shifted his practice to be more "one stop shop". He has installed a full lab that handles most bloodwork,xrays, etc. His staff is the practices other benefit. There is little turnover, they are skilled, and exceptionally friendly, amazing in a practice that is so busy. read more

My son was very ill, he had no insurance because he just started an apprenticeship and moved to Mansfield. His girlfriend suggested that he go to her doctor because she really liked him. The visit was 189.00 paid up front before they would see him. I tried to call in with my Cigna card and was told they would not take a payment over the phone. I called and asked to speak to an office manager that said I would need to fax a copy of my card front and back with a copy of my license to keep in his file. (that is not comfortable for me). Open check book. So they don't trust me but I should trust them? They agreed to see his after I faxed the information in. He received care and was supposed to get a prescription called in which did not happen since it was time for the ladies to go home. It is obvious that they profiled him and treated him like he was a street person and showed no respect of concern toward him. It makes me appreciate our doc office in Carrollton that much more knowing I done have to deal with an unprofessional group such as this that don't CARE! My son will just need to find another doctor or continue to drive to Carrollton to get the professional care and treatment her deserves especially at the price of 189.00 paid up front before he can see anybody. read more

Dr. Stafford is the best doctor I've ever been to. I was a new patient, amidst the corona virus pandemic, and they saw me the same day. Dr. Stafford is kind, super smart, and treated me as if I were family. She listened to everything I had to say. Her bedside manner is the best I've ever experienced. Dr. Stafford is the benchmark for all doctors. The receptionist and nurses there were awesome as well. They were friendly and very kind, especially considering how busy they were. I do not recommend this practice. They advertise things that are not true, they bill you for services they are not qualified to conduct, then after a month of waiting, they will tell you that they have no idea about prescribing compounded medication, though that was a distinct conversation between me and the doctor with my husband sitting there listening. I see Dr. Harbison who is typically in their Pantego office. She is fantastic and seems to not only care about her patients, but also listens and really tries to get to the bottom of what is happening. I have had delays being seen exactly at my appointment time, but 1. not terribly late and 2. I realize that she will spend that same time and care with me when it's my turn, so I'm willing to wait. The issues are with the office staff. From almost day one rudeness from those answering the phones has been common or not being able to get ahold of anyone at all or messages not getting through to Pantego. BUT recently had a problem with a prescription and the amount of rudeness with the MA (who repeatedly told me she was confused by the issues with the prescription and then denied saying it... and then prescription was still turned in to the pharmacy wrong) and the rudeness experienced talking with the office manager in Randall Mills location as a follow up to the issues with that prescription are intolerable to the point that I am considering finding a new doctor. Both people were very rude and instead of listening, cut you off mid-sentence, verbally and actually hung up on. The office manager had never spoke to me before and literally the first thing out of her mouth was asking "what I wanted.. that they had taken care of my issue". Nothing was further from the truth. If you are that nasty to your customer (patient) while doing your job, it's probably time to find a new career. I have called several times to get my blood pressure medicine refilled with no return call. My pharmacy even tried calling and could not get a reply. Today had a horrible ear ache called at 8am and again at 2pm and again did not get a return call. I do not blame Dr Nguyen for this however, If his staff does not have time to call me back then I MUST find a Dr whose staff will have time for me. 1 time I can understand but this has happened more than once. She cancelled my appointment because I advised her that I am not to pay a copay for the service that is being rendered. I advised her that BCBS gave me a case number for her to call and to make sure that her office is using the correct coding. She got very snappy and hung up the phone. What type of treatment is that for a long time patient. On top of that your company has mad thousands off of me of the years. I will know be finding me a new PCP due to the way GIA TREATED ME. Very short wait at 10 minutes even though there was a fair amount of people there. Would give the staff 6 stars, were all friendly and helpful both before and after I nearly passed out from having my blood drawn. Pro-tip: don't watch the needle being drawing your own blood. Do not go to their office in Pantego. They overbook and have no clue how to run an office. I should have known when they asked me to change the PCP with our insurance because the Dr. we were supposed to see is "transitioning" to this office. Then we walked in, 10 mins early, to find us interrupting the front desk eating lunch. We watched two people go back. A mom and two kids came in 15 mins after us. After waiting for over 40 mins we were called back. Weight/BP taken. We were told to sit and wait, again. We watched the people that came in after we get called back, weight/bp taken for the two kids and put in a room. I asked if we were going to be seen before them since we weren't in a room yet. I was told they had a 1pm appt. We had a 1pm appt and were on time. This office has no idea what is going on or how to run a medical practice. After waiting 45 mins, watching the Dr. go into the room occupied by the first person they called back, and knowing 3 more people had to be seen before us, we left. Won't go back ever!!! read more

I recently had my first experience with Dr. Nguyen. I was scheduled for a physical exam, however when I arrived they denied me that exam simply because it was my first visit, however they demanded a payment over $100 up front just to talk to the doctor. When I asked why (is it their policy, the insurances policy, etc?) they gave me a vague response and said that if I talk to the doctor about anything, anything at all, that I had to pay this amount just because it was my first visit. I was so desperate to have a checkup that I payed first and asked questions later. I was escorted to one of the rooms and the nurse I spoke with was friendly, professional, and thorough. When Dr. Nguyen entered the room and we got past introductions, I went on to explain some of my concerns and he was extremely dismissive and arrogant. He acted like I didn't know anything I was talking about concerning an uncommon condition I have, even though I know for a fact that I've received factual and accurate information regarding it. I tried a couple times to word it differently, thinking maybe he misunderstood me, and each time he arrogantly interrupted me like I was some sort of uneducated simpleton. As if that wasn't bad enough, he basically told me I was lazy and making up excuses as to why I wasn't exercising enough. Had he given me the opportunity to fill him in on what's going on--he would have known I've had previous injuries, chronic pain and pinched nerves that make conventional exercise dangerous, painful, and exhausting for me. We could have discussed alternatives to give me similar results with more personalized methods, but instead he blew me off. In the end, I didn't receive the treatment I was scheduled for, and I payed over $100 to get some blood drawn and be completely insulted by this person. This was the worst possible experience I could have had with my first male doctor, and not only will I never return to this facility, but this experience will most likely prevent me from seeing another male doctor ever again. read more

NIGHTMARE, STAY AWAY! First of all, the first time I went for an appointment at 5 pm they told me I couldn't be seen because new patients do not get seen at that time. They said they tried to let me know via phone but it was off so I didn't really think much of that. I am also looking for a good primary care provider so I thought I'd give this doctor's office a shot. However, the asian lady at the front told me to go back the next day, she gave me very little options and said "And thats me working with you", I just thought her tone was pretentious but I really had to get a screening done so I took it anyway. I went back for my appointment yesterday and I had to wait over an hour and 15 minutes to finally be seen by the doctor. Once the doctor was in, everything felt very rushed and he didn't really seem to care or address my health concerns very well. I told him I was having difficulty sleeping and he said "you're just getting old" and laughed then since I didn't find it funny he just asked me if I was worried. He also made it seem like he didn't have to go in depth with my consultation since I was "young". I said I was a bit stressed but that never stopped me before so he just told me to take benadryl before bed when I had difficulty sleeping and thats it! So he ordered lab work and that was the most horrible part of the visit. They had an in house lab girl who was less than professional. She looked puzzled when trying to find the right spot on my arm to draw blood. I already have a hard time with needles but she made it worse. She didn't seem sure of what she was doing at all so that made me nervous and the first time she poked my arm, it was in the wrong spot and no blood was drawn. She then started looking at my other arm and looked even more clueless so I asked if she was sure and she said "we don't have to do this", so I explained to her that I had already taken this hours off work, waited so long for her to act this way and tell me we didnt have to do it. I told her to go on but she still didn't seem to know and could not find the right spot on my other arm so she told me it would have to be on my hand but it would hurt more. Obviously that wasn't comforting so as a natural reflex I moved my hand. So she again insisted that we didn't have to do it, honestly my veins aren't the most visible but other professionals have been able to find it without this much difficulty and drawn the blood in the past. At this point I told her I didn't feel safe and instead of doing anything to make this situation better she told me that was the only place she could draw it from. Then she just decided that it couldn't be done and started putting things away. When I walked to the front, once again the front desk Asian lady was super rude, telling me I probably don't drink enough water (I actually do) what kind of office assumes so much? Then I told her they shouldn't charge my insurance because they weren't able to do a simple screening for me or much really. So she said they will still charge and didn't even apologize (no manners), except for a blonde lady who had checked my insurance. Everyone else was trying to make it seem like I did something wrong, it was the worse experience at a doctor's office ever. I feel like they are just money driven that's why they take so many appointments and do not take their time to really make you feel like their patient or do things with care. I am never going back to them again and would not recommend them at all. The doctor should be aware of the bad reputation his staff is giving his clinic and he should probably take a little more time with patients. Needless to say, if they can't even do a regular yearly screening I would not recommend them for anything else. read more
