This review is for the urinalysis services. My experience with quest has varied significantly based on a couple factors. First of all, I highly recommend setting an appointment ahead of time (as soon as possible since slots fill up pretty fast). My first visit took over an hour and a half without an appointment (Flower Mound location), while my second (scheduled) visit only took about 20-25 minutes (Hurst location at the hospital). You can also check in online if you schedule an appointment. If you have to do any testing multiple times I recommend creating an account if you want to save some time. A wonderful nurse named Robin f wished my paperwork and drew my blood. She's amazing! I just looked the opposite way, received a minor pin prick, and a couple vials later...done. This, by far, is my favorite lab. Since having bariatric surgery, I get my labs checked several times a year. This location does an excellent job with patient experience; I've never had any issues or concerns. They're efficient and very punctual when it comes to those who have made an appointment; I've never been a walk-in, so I can't speak about that. Another reason I like Quest, the results usually have a 24-hour turnaround. I forgot I had an appointment on Tuesday and made an appointment for Monday afternoon; my results were in that evening. I'm sure the actual experience is just fine, but there is no real person to check in patients. There are two self check in kiosks and a tv. If you have an appointment then you're set. If you're a walk in then you're set for a LONG wait. The biggest issue is their speed. They serve up to three patients at a time from what I can tell, but there are times when they are assisting zero people at a time (as displayed on the tv). On average I saw one person be called in every 8 minutes or so. That's the same pace as the place I used to go to in California that had only one person working! I originally was going to give two stars but increased when they allowed all checked in patients to be seen even after their closing time of 5pm. Awesome that they stay late to help everybody. I was leaving the country the following day and needed my labs done to receive a medication that I would run out of upon my return. Beware of Jayce - she called my veins weird - after over 25 years of multi-year blood tests - never heard this before and I was offended. She left the ugliest mark on my arm right when it is hot and I'm wearing short sleeves. I look like I've been in a car wreck or something. There's only one person being serviced and atleast 2 others tech not seeing patients cause they service atleast 3 people at a time. There actively ignoring the waitlist. This stuff is supposed to take less than 5 mins a patient, which is what we're seeing, someone in n out in 2-3 mins and then no one coming back to grab the waitlist people here for hours. read more

I dread giving blood but it's more a case of mind over matter. I had a full blood panel done for an upcoming doctors' appointment. The check-in was quick and pretty close to on time. More importantly, the blood draw seemed to take only a few seconds and was painless. The Phlebotomist I had was very professional and I felt very secure in the security checks she did to make I was the person matched to the paperwork. I'm not big on reviewing medical facilities for the most part, but I came in here today for some lab work and the experience was so professional, they earned a five star for sure. First, Quest has excellent online tools that make self-scheduling, checking in, etc. a breeze. I scheduled online yesterday, checked in by text as soon as I parked, walked in and was third on the list on the automated monitor. I waited a mere 3 minutes before I was called back. Yvette, the technician who saw me, was amazing. When I got to the room, she was already prepared with the details and I simply had to verify and sign off. She was friendly, quick and professional. Just came from unit 103 as a new patient, I got my blood draw so quick & effortlessly by a name I believe was Nyheema. Even tho she got them long pink nails, I was surprised it took at least 15 seconds to get my blood draw. She was very nice too. I'll keep an update when my results comes in. As a millennial, it was very easy to register yourself for a blood shot with the kiosk and it would display your name on the TV for the estimated time of your next draw, also you get to watch Ellen show while waiting & shows you the current weather. I noticed some elderly people having trouble registering their name on the kiosk, it's too bad no one's in the counter to assist. My mom got the worst phlebotomists because she got 2 draws from her and she told me that their was like twisting moments and couldn't find her right veins. read more

The visit was horrible! I tried to sign in the night before to make an appointment but couldn't. I had to sign in for an appointment when I got there and had to wait about 15 minutes. The kiosks can be a pain to navigate. I had to help 2 other older women to get signed in. There is no one there to assist with questions or anything. Once I got called back I was asked MORE questions that I previously answered through my insurance and driver's license information at the front. Once Richard did all of that, he said he couldn't find my lab slip even though it had been faxed over to this lab over a week previously. I had the slip on my phone but he said he couldn't access it that way even though I offered to email it to them so they could print it off. He told me to call the doctor to get it re-faxed over. I asked if there were a private place where I could talk to my doctor about getting the slip sent over, and though there were other empty drawing stations, he told me to go out into the hall if I wanted to make my call in private. Once in the hallway - still a publicly exposed place, I explained to the doctor's office my problem. I waited and waited for Richard to call me back in. I waited almost 20 minutes. Then I went back in and caught the next tech that appeared and asked about Richard drawing my blood and was informed HE HAD GONE TO LUNCH, without advising anyone of my situation. Fortunately another lady was nice enough to go ahead and call me back, fax in hand, to draw my blood. I'm not entirely sure if the woman drawing my blood was Sylvia or not, but I needed to stop by here and leave a review to let everyone know that Sylvia will definitely take care of you. Needed lab work done a few months back and our dr sent it over to quest so we go in they claim to have not received it so we come a week later and they still don't have them And after a whole month of this run around we got our care provider to hand us the lab orders for them and print them out and then suddenly they had the lab orders in their system. And now 3 months later we needed to do it again. We forgot to print out copies before arriving but figured any good business would have an email we could send our lab order to and get it done. Now here we are sitting in a ups store printing our lab orders because despite them having an email to send stuff to they refuse to use it I am gonna go the extra distance to find a competent lab testing location from now on. read more

I took my son , who is on the autism spectrum, to get bloodwork done. 12 vials worth of blood! It was very upsetting for him, but Sylvia was so good with him. She explained how much was being drawn & why. It took a few minutes for him to be calm enough to get the blood drawn and Sylvia was so patient & kind. My doctor asked me which lab I want to use and chose Quest because they were close to me, I went first time in Oct/2020,gave blood and later got the statement of roughly $260,which I paid (by the way I have the platinum coverage by Blue cross of Texas).Then I had a second appointment a couple of weeks later.The very rude tech asked me to pay $25 at that time, which I did. A week later I got a bill of approximately $9 for that second visit. Where is that from? I emailed Quest - no response at all! Today 11/07/2020 I log in to pay the $9 and see another bill of $319 for one of the two tests already done.I haven't been to Quest ever since. What type of scam is this? How come a bill shows up almost 2 moths later after a test? They know it is insurance paying and will try to drain them as much as they can. read more

If I have to do bloodwork for one of my docs, Quest is my lab of choice. Their team is cheerful, calm and their phlebotomists do a painless job of drawing blood. I love the convenience of this location and Kevin was a real standout - I was early (they open at 7 am) and he thoughtfully let me come in and wait until he was set up. A great phlebotomist too - painless and quick blood draw...given how often we need bloodwork, my family and I will be back to see Kevin and Quest again soon. read more

I checked into my appointment 10 min before my 12 pm appointment it stated a 23 min wait. The kiosk gives an option to wait outside & they will text when you are up next. I came back inside after 25 min & noted my name was 5th. After waiting an additional hour, my name position has moved a couple of times then was taken off. When I approached the next employee, they said the texting system didn't work...why offer it if it doesn't work? Just a thought. They claimed to have called my name but a lady waiting for over an hour said they did not call my name. Needless to say I will not be coming back! There is a system for scheduled appointments & walk-in's that doesn't work. There should absolutely not be over any more than a 15 min wait for a scheduled appointment. It is 2 pm & I left. I attended Quest on Hospital Parkway and was very pleased for the new spacing and added gloves to Mae a seamless appointment. It only got better when I was called in to have blood drawn by the friendly, extremely proficient RENAE (sp?). Nevertheless the was better than I'd ever experienced. There was a lot of confusion of what kind of sample containers I was supposed to get for common tests. After 15 minutes, I was told to fill these 5 tubes and bring them back tomorrow. I did as verbally instructed to the letter! There were no written directions given to me whatsoever. When I return them the next morning, I was asked where the orange labeled container was? I never received one. She wanted to give me another one and then return again. I was also supposed to get a larger container to collect my samples. The technician just didn't give a damn about me and was too bothered... she had other stuff to do! This is not the first time I've been here, but it will be the last! These people are never friendly and have attitude. Incompetence is rampant. I have doubts they can even get the correct results to my doctor. Quest has other locations. I came to Bedford because it was convenient and close to home. That's a mistake! Try Quest's other locations! This is a direct reflection of Quest upper & lower management! My doctor's staff couldn't get a blood sample despite 3 sticks over half an hour. They sent me to the lab here. They got all the blood needed in one draw, minimal pain, in maybe 5 minutes. read more

I have been going to this location for blood work since September 2009 when I received my transplant. They are very pleasant there and have always been able to draw my blood. All the employees are great and especially Kevin who does a great job. The hours are convenient and I rarely have to wait to get my blood drawn. read more
