This is me at my second home. I cannot stress enough how incredible and inspiring Studio Three is! The instructors are incredibly talented, knowledgeable about fitness and the body, and supportive of all their attendees, no matter what level you are at in your fitness journey. If you're even THINKING of trying Studio Three- consider this your sign to book a class YESTERDAY.

Clean and organized studio in Rivernorth! I usually take Heated Flow 45 Vinyasa class here. The very recent class I had with Katie was not for beginners. This class helped me reduce muscle tension, and overall was challenging. Loved the class with Katie; however she didn't walk through the class and sometimes was less audible. My rating is more like 4.5/5. This particular Rivernorth studio has a brick like wall with not enough light. Needs more air circulation. They have check in desks at both the floors and can be confusing at times where exactly to go. That being said, one cool thing about this Studio is there's a coffee shop inside the same building so after a workout you can stop by. Overall it's worth checking out!

I absolutely love Studio Three! I recently attended their Hi Def 45 class after a long hiatus and it definitely kicked my butt. Hi Def 45 is a mix of strength and resistance training and definitely gives a good burn and workout. It typically involves weights and resistance bands. I usually attend Jenny Finkel's classes, but recently attended Heather Steven's class and she was good as well. The lockers are pretty organized. The studio has a lot of space but they are most of the times packed and it may seem a bit crammed at times. I'm hoping they have more Hi Def classes as it is currently only offered on Monday's and Wednesday's!

Stopped in at studio three on class pass while in Chicago and got treated with a great workout! Studio three started in Chicago and this was the original location. They offer several classes from yoga, interval training, and cycle. I attended their 3x3 interval classes and it was a heart pumper! Broken up into three different sections with rowing, treadmill, and weights. I felt throughout the class there was something always fresh and challenged you in different ways. The facilities were top notch and clean. The vibes remind me that of Barry's/night club. Can't wait to go back to try more of their classes.

I had a good time at the 3x3 class at Studio Three class on Saturday morning. The instructor was really knowledgeable about fitness, muscles, and form. I appreciated the cues and adjustments that she suggested. The class format was three sections repeated three times, and was a good full body burn. 3x3 is conducted in a heated studio (upstairs) and mats are provided. You do not wear shoes but some people had socks on. This was my first time at the River North location. It's beautiful and was conveniently close to both a bus stop and L stop! The smoothie bar was not open when I was there.

Ask the Community - Studio Three

    Do they have showers available?

Yep! They have nice locker rooms. The locker areas get crowded but I've always been able to get a shower in the evening. Can't speak for mornings, though.

From the moment you walk in, it's clear they've thought through every detail. Their pricing is surprisingly competitive, especially if you're looking for an unlimited membership. Considering everything that's included, it's one of the best values I've found in boutique fitness. The facilities are exceptional. Yoga mats, towels, and cycling shoes are all provided at no additional cost, which makes showing up for class effortless. The studio is always clean, modern, and well maintained, creating an environment where you can focus entirely on your workout. What truly makes Studio Three stand out is the incredible team of instructors. Sayre, Stu, Katie Lee, Danielle, and Jacqueline consistently deliver challenging, motivating, and thoughtfully programmed classes. Every coach brings a unique style, but they all share the ability to push you while making every workout enjoyable. Let's also not forget the studio management team, Julia, and the amazing front desk associates. Emily always remembers me when I visit, and she truly makes everyone feel at home. After visiting boutique fitness studios across the country for the last decade, I can honestly say Studio Three has set the standard. Between the outstanding instructors, beautiful facilities, convenient amenities, and excellent membership options, it's an easy five-star experience. I recommend it to anyone looking for the best fitness studio in Chicago.

I've recently started getting back into fitness and working out, and was looking to tryout a few…read moreclasses before I commit to anything. SWEAT was offering a 7 day free trial for new customers which I found very helpful. They have a range of classes that target specific body parts, like the Arms & Core workout or the Butt and Legs workout. They offer classes almost every part of the day including before and after work hours. I even saw a few classes that start at around 5:30am. They have two different and convenient locations around the city and I believe you can attend classes in both location if you are a member, but I'd call and ask just to double check. My first time was at the Gold Coast location. It was a little confusing to get to at first, but when I saw a bunch of people in sweats and gym bags going down to a basement, I was able to finally locate the studio. There is no front desk or anyone to greet you upon entry. I had no idea where to go or where to place my bag. I had to ask a few people before a nice lady that's a member there helped me out. There are OPEN lockers right outside the studio (and yes there's only one studio), so I wouldn't bring anything valuable just in case. They offer free towels and you can just dump them into a laundry basket when you're done. The studio itself is large and can fit about 25-30 people comfortably. It has weights, treadmills and a bunch of other workout gear that are used during certain classes. Now here's the deal - These classes are not easy pace. They go quick and it's up to you to catch up. The instructors will try their best to help you out, however, they have an entire class to attend to, so sometimes you won't be able to get the help you need. I am not a very active person, so I was not able to catch up AT ALL during the Arms & Core workout class. It seems like classes are very advanced and target people that have already been on the workout train for years. As for someone who is just getting back on track, these classes are not for you. On the bright side, they do offer personal training, so I might be looking into that. FYI - the only contact you can have with a representative is through phone or email. I was very interested in these classes before I actually tried them out, and when I expressed that to the representative through email, I was automatically charged for a membership right after the 7 day free trial ended. I was able to get a refund though, but I was a little upset that my card was charged without my permission.

You walk into a lounge area where you can view an active class and see what type of exercises you'll be doing. Each day has a particular work out so that you can go on different dates and not work the same muscles. The locker rooms are a bit weird with a long hallway to hang your coats and stick your bags in cubes, not lockers. The locker room has two showers and two closed off bathrooms. They have spray deodorant, hand soap in both bar and dispenser. The room is small, so if you have a class ending or beginning, it can get crowded. There are small cubes to put your personals as well. Once in the class, they have a lot of weights, ropes hanging from the ceiling, row machines, Ski machines and high boxes to jump on. The classes are made up of intervals so you are grouped with a few people and rotate to another set of exercises. The classes I've been to so far with Joey and Ally have been tough, but great. I try to keep up and not feel intimated by the people that have been coming here for a while, but trust me, no one is looking at you. Everyone here is trying to work on their physique and at the end of this class, you are guaranteed to sweat. The music is always great and is loud to get you going. I can already see a difference with my endurance, strength and physique.

We've both been on an exercise kick recently and she ensured me that Sproing was an excellent workout. During the first of my two workouts of the weekend, I found myself trying to adjust to the machine. It's a cross between a treadmill and a mattress. While the floor of the machine took a little getting used to, I was also facing backwards and strapped in, which made the whole thing a little odd at first. We sprinted, worked our core, did pushups, and used weights. It was a good, high impact workout that centered around interval training. Once I had a feel for the place, my second workout was even better. Cullen was an awesome instructor and he really kept us motivated, encouraging us to push ourselves until the last second. We could see if we were heeding to his advice by watching the big screens in the studio that showed us in real time how we were doing, based on our heart rate monitors. I got a great sweat in over that weekend thanks to the instructors and I found the desk staff to be very welcoming and helpful. The space is clean and new, the bathrooms are spotless and very "homey", and the equipment is sanitized regularly. This is a unique workout for sure and it can be tailored to your fitness level. Try it out if you have time.

Filled with enthusiasm and energy, the sproing fitness instructor definitely motivated each and every one of us to work hard and push ourselves to get the most out of the workout. There is a screen that shows how each individual's % max heart rate which essentially shows how hard you're working out. You are attached to the sproing machine with a Velcro strap that you wrap around your waist and you do exercises on a soft, cushioned surface. The idea of sproing is to do running based high intensity interval training (HIIT) - 20 seconds of work intervals with 10 seconds of rest intervals. Each class is 45 minutes where it's 30 minutes of HIIT. At the end of the class, you get emailed a summary of your workout results which shows how many calories you burned. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Sure, it may feel like your body will give up on you and you'll feel really sore after..but it hurts so good. With an incredible staff + intense but fun workout, I highly, highly recommend sproing fitness!

I have noticed Sat Nam Yoga in the past and didn't think much about it except, what a lovely place. Its funny how some places grab your attention at JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT. That moment was 3 weeks ago. I decided to join the new student 2 week special where you can go to as many classes as you would like for 30 bucks. I have been to two Kundalini classes held by Karampal who is also the director of Sat Nam. She is by far a lovely soul with a purpose at having anyone and everyone try Kundalini and other practices at this lovely center. You can feel her energy of love, fun and good vibes. She instructs with patience and diligence. The center is located in West Town, one of my favorite areas in Chicago. The staff are so warm and welcoming, the students/practitioners are friendly, and the sense of community is palpable. I have been to two classes thus far and I am working diligently to try and attend a Full Moon Meditation and Fire Ceremony this Friday. They have Gong ceremony classes, Tai Chi QiGong classes and offer healing services to boot. They have so many offerings that will meet your needs to whatever it is you are looking for that will help you reset/rebalance in life. The choice is yours and the offerings are plenty! I see myself coming more than my two-week special whether that is via drop-in classes or subscription membership.
