BEWARE! Did NOT show up to take us to the airport!…read more We made a reseravtion several weeks in advance for a car to take us to and from the airport for our family Thanksgiving visit. I should have been leery when I first called to make the arrangements, because the guy sounded like Bobcat Goldthwait after a case of beer. But I trusted him anyway. Two days before the trip, I started trying to call to confirm that we were still on. Several times I called and nobody answered -- just the generic phone company voicemail prompt, with just the phone number rather than a customized greeting. Big warning sign! I kept trying, and eventually the same Bobcat Goldthwait guy answered. I asked him to confirm our appointment. He didn't remember it, but he said "I'm sure it's on my calendar. I'm not at my desk now, but I'll call you back later today to confirm." Never called back. I tried a few more times, usually getting the same generic voicemail. Finally, the day before the trip, a person answered, and I am 95% sure it was the same guy. (He has a very distinctive voice and manner.) I said, "Is this Bob's Car Service?" Long pause, then "Uhhhh... Who is this?" I said, "This is Aaron Emke, and I'm still trying to confirm that we're going to be picked up and taken to the airport tomorrow morning." Another long pause. "Uhhh, wait, what? Oh, I think you have the wrong number." I checked the number I had dialed on my phone's log, and it was correct. I tried again a minute later and got the generic voicemail. Clearly he had decided to get out of the car service business. I made other arrangements. The next morning, he did not show up, and at that point I no longer expected him to. Zero stars.

However; we will remove them from our system and never use them again! The lady (if that's what you want to call her). She answers the phone and she is the nastiest person we have spoken to at a transportation company! She really needs to be removed from that position if they want to have more business. She does not represent the company in a positive way. She must be a mean old woman who is unhappy with herself and takes it out on anyone she speaks too. I have read so very many reviews that say she is ugly. No one at any company should treat people the way she does! When we called, apparently we didn't speak fast enough and yelled into the phone, "are you going to talk or what?" Then she hung up. Do not use this company if you want to be treated with respect! Office for Seniors I was referred to Carmel Taxi and had a voucher for partial payment (Yeah) because I was going to the Doctor. I made the reservation last week to ensure that I could count on this transportation. The nicest gentleman arrived promptly in clean, shinny car with proper identification on the outside. He put my Scooter into the trunk and made sure that i was in the into the back seat safely. We had a conversation covering many topics on the way to my destination. I had the good fortune of him bringing me home on my return trip. In the Spring I used another taxi service twice and I would rate them a 0 unfortunately. Then I tried Uber and have found Uber to vary greatly with drivers and vehicles, pricing is high with many add on fees. In the future I will call upon Carmel Taxi for my Transportation needs, I felt safe, well cared for and happy at the end of my rides. Thank you!

The night before, last minute, the hospital called to tell us my husband had to be there an hour earlier than they first told us. GRRRRR! I called Mike right away and there was no problem at all adjusting the pick up time. I was happy to be able to sleep to 8:30 AM as usual, feed and walk our dogs and then drive to the hospital myself to pick up my husband when I got the call he was ready.
