Spinnaker is located on a high road above Porto Cervo, in an area called Liscia di Vacca. In a small shopping complex, it doesn't look much from the outside. Insist on a table in the back room and you won't be sorry. This part of the establishment has stunning views. Try to get a table in the evening so you can benefit from the rosy glow of sunset over the terracotta rooftops of the locality. The mixed appetiser for 2 to share is a must. Loaded with fish carpaccios, octopus and seafood salads and shellfish, this is almost a meal in itself. You'll be given the local flatbread (similar to a poppadom in flatness) and perhaps an additional basket of bread. If you get regular bread, smile nicely and send it back; their pizza bread is to die for. Then move onto the tasty main courses. The mixed meat or seafood grills are reliable, my tuna steak was cooked to perfection you almost don't need side dishes because everything is served in such perfect quantities, but don't bet on having space for dessert. Wash it all down with the chardonnay from Alghero, which is delicious, and if you're friendly to the multi-lingual wait-staff, you just might get an ice-cold shot of mirto as a reward. Highly recommended to the point of saying you're certifiable if you go to the Porto Cervo region and don't eat here.

As someone who loves food and enjoys seeking out highly regarded restaurants, I was excited to visit Confusion after receiving several recommendations while in Sardinia. I made a reservation three days in advance and looked forward to experiencing what many consider to be one of the area's standout dining destinations. Unfortunately, less than 24 hours before my reservation, I was faced with an unexpected emergency that required me to immediately return to the United States. As soon as I learned of the situation, I contacted the restaurant to explain what had happened and cancel my reservation. I was informed that because I was outside the cancellation window by approximately one hour, my deposit was non-refundable. While I understand that businesses have policies in place and that cancellation deadlines exist for a reason, I hoped there would be some room for discretion given the circumstances. I explained the situation in detail and asked whether an exception, partial refund, credit, or any alternative solution could be considered. Unfortunately, the answer was simply no. What disappointed me most was not the policy itself, but the complete lack of flexibility, empathy, or effort to find a reasonable resolution. Both the manager and general manager repeatedly stated that nothing could be done. No alternatives were offered, no compromise was suggested, and there appeared to be no consideration of the situation beyond a strict adherence to the policy. I have no doubt that the food may be excellent. Restaurants earn their reputations through culinary talent, and Confusion is clearly well-known for a reason. However, great hospitality extends beyond what is served on the plate. It also includes how guests are treated when unforeseen circumstances arise. For me, this experience raised concerns about the restaurant's approach to customer service and business ethics. A policy is important, but so is judgment. When a guest is dealing with a genuine emergency and reaches out proactively, I believe there should be at least some willingness to work toward a fair solution. My intention is not to criticize the restaurant's food or success. Rather, I want potential guests to be aware of how strictly these policies may be enforced. If you choose to book a reservation here, be certain of your plans and understand that even extraordinary circumstances may not be met with flexibility. In the end, restaurants are remembered not only for their cuisine, but also for how they make people feel. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed long before I ever had the chance to sit down at the table.

What was particularly nice is my daughter is a vegetarian and she had the same options. I also noticed at other tables that some people ordered a la carte and others the surprise menu, again nice that the whole table can order what they want. I enjoy amuse bouchée and that was one of the highlights of the meal. We started with five different amuse bouchée, all of them excellent and interesting. Even with only the large menu, it seemed as if we got many more courses than I was expecting. Also enjoyed a reconstructed caprese salad, a tomato stuffed with cheese. Service was efficient and friendly. Overall, an excellent experience.

Amazing view with reasonable prices…read more This was my second year here, with the girlfriend. The amazing thing is that €10 buys you a drink, while €15 buys you a drink and a seemingly endless supply of appetisers. Acqua is located in the Marina of Porto Chervo, located across a small bay from the town of Porto Chervo. The beauty of this place is that the sun sets right in front of you, giving you a splendid sunset setting. While the ageing revellers in the center of Porto Chervo don't get a sunset setting, they do get to spend about €40 per drink, no freebies included. They also get to pretend, however, that they are richer and younger than you know they are. If you want to go there, don't forget your Loro Piano slacks and blazer. So my preference: get a little drunk in a more causal setting. PS: We didn't eat but people around us were raving over the food but that's just par for the course in Sardinia. Perfect place for a 7pm drink.
