The lasagna was soft, pillowy, and decadent without being heavy, the tagliatelle was al dente and flavorful, and the tortellini stuffed with creamy ricotta. For dessert we split a generous portion of tiramisu, which was creamy and rich. We had a couple bottles of Chianti. The ambiance is relaxing with a neighborhood vibes. They didn't have any tables outside so we were seated inside. Service (3.5/5): No WiFi unfortunately which isn't great for an international traveler like me. Standard European service. Not terribly friendly and not terribly efficient but I would say they were a bit more attentive than the norm. They did hook us up with some complimentary limoncello shots which was a really nice touch. Ambiance (3.5/5): A little quieter since it's off the beaten path which I like. A pleasant, homey restaurant. Drinks (4.5/5): We shared a bottle of wine. And the aforementioned limoncello shots. Food (4/5): We went with their pasta for two deal where each person gets three different types of pasta that you choose from six or so options. I love getting a variety of dishes so this was a nice way to do it. Not huge portions given the price but still delicious. The dishes were served to us quickly and we got to try some pastas we had never heard of. Overall: When in Bologna, Osteria Broccaindosso makes for a fine choice. It's a 15-minute walk or so from the center of town.

I am assuming there is more of a lively atmosphere when dining here on a Thur-Sat but I cannot say for sure. Our waiter did not speak much english but he was very kind and patient with us. I had the bolognese pasta with a side of grilled vegetables and my husband got the traditional golden tortellini. At this point on our trip I had ordered bolognese many many times, and this was far and away the best one! All of the dishes we ordered were delicious with the exception of the mushroom pasta that my friend ordered. It tasted more like an asian stir fry dish and was truly bizarre. Beyond that one mis-step we loved everything and would highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in Bologna.

It is a very nice hotel/relais located in a very wide and green park outside the urban area of Bologna. Here you can enjoy nature, calm and relax. Rooms are clean and silent, the indoor restaurant simply amazing (a very good Chef manage it and his recipes are great!) and there's an interesting water pool area (I didn't try it 'cause I stay here during winter and the pool is open only during spring/summer period). It was an amazing artichoke and cheese concoction with a shredded artichoke salad on the side. The pastas were all very good. The bolognese had tender meat with a tasty sauce. The tortellini in beef broth is also a local winter dish. The tortellini were filled with a nice mixture of beef and cheese with a full bodied beef broth. A simple but delicious dish! I'm usually not a truffle fan but the spaghetti with black truffles had a good balance of truffle flavor without being overpowering. The scalloping with cheese and Parma ham was tasty. The meat was tender, the cheese side decadent and the ham added a bit of salty flavor. We were too full for dessert!
