We started with the antipasto al Sangiovese: mortadella mousse, prosciutto, incredibly creamy squacquerone, onions, and caramelized figs. A fantastic way to begin the meal.
The lasagne verdi al forno was the highlight. Sublime, classic, and perfectly executed. This is traditional Bolognese cooking at its best.
We asked the host to choose a bottle of Sangiovese for us, and we were very pleased with the selection. He picked something mid-range from the wine list, which we genuinely appreciated. Thoughtful, honest, and perfectly matched to the food.
We also ordered friggione as a side, and it was excellent. Sweet, slow-cooked, and full of flavor.
The only dish we would skip next time is the polpette, which were a bit dry for our taste. That said, everything else was so good that we are happy to forget about them and confidently give five stars.
The restaurant is small and cozy, with only about ten tables, so reserving in advance is strongly recommended. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, and everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help.
A true Bolognese experience. Highly recommended.
