After a lovely tour of Villa de Casale, we stopped here for lunch. The staff was very friendly. We ordered the antipasti tray to stay with. It had salami, a few cheeses which I do not recall the names of but they were very good. It also had a spinach filo pastry, stuffed tomato, a small serving of an omelet, olives in oil. It was a very good portion for two to three people. I ordered the the pasta Marrachinii (?) . It was a delicious elbow shaped pasta in red sauce with black olives. We saw some of the staff shaking a tree and collecting nuts . We ventured over to see what kind of nuts and they were walnuts. They dried them and cracked them and brought them to our table.
The ambience was nice , we sat outside on a covered patio. read more
