I was excited to try Swiss food for the first time so we set off through the city to look for a good spot. There are sooo many places in Zurich with great reviews, you can through a stone and it'll land in an area with an abundance of 5 star restaurants. After walking past a few places we settled on Italian, mostly because it was right there and pasta is filling. We walked in and asked for a table for three. They asked if we had a reservation and we said no, the restaurant was empty, but maybe there were more people coming and there would be a rush soon? We were lucky enough to get a seat. We started looking at the menu. They have different options in pasta and pizza, including vegetarian, meat, and seafood options. I ordered a seafood pasta, my friends ordered a pizza and pasta as well. The food took a while to come out. Maybe the pasta is made by hand? Not sure, but the restaurant was still empty. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. Once the food came out we dug in, it was ok. It wasn't the best meal I've ever had but it wasn't the worst. It wasn't worth the price tag but Switzerland is expensive so everything is on the pricier side. The whole meal even after we left the place never filled up. It makes me curious to know why they seemed like they didn't have availability. Interesting. All in all I wouldn't return, but it is in a great location so maybe I'll return for wine and a cheese platter!

The menu had plenty of choices meat, fish and vegetarian. I started with the octopus salad- is was perfectly cooked with a delicious fennel salad with a subtle vinaigrette. My colleague had the tomato, buffalo mozerella and basil salad and commented on the freshness. For dinner I took the "chefs suggestion" of ravioli with morel mushrooms and sage. The flavor was delicate and presentation beautiful. My friend had the swordfish with a beautiful sesame seed crust. It was well cooked and seasoned. The service overall was friendly and punctual. For Zurich the prices were also very reasonable. I would definitely go again. The decor was very interesting and the fake fire places while a bit tacky also were a cute touch.

The Fagottini al Tartufo is excellent, as is the Tagliatelle Nicotero. Dishes are in general well executed and the prices are very competitive for Zürich. Service is friendly, attentive and rather quick. Although on weekday evenings it is probably not very crowded, reservations would be highly recommended for larger groups or on the weekends!

I also did not want to eat at my hotel and this was close enough to walk over to. The place itself is gorgeous inside and split into two rooms. White table cloths well dressed waiters and lots of them. Extensive menu with pasta, pizza, salads, meat and fish and also their kitchen specials. You are bound to find something here. I settled on a tomato soup and a pizza piccannte. The soup was rich, creamy, simple and delicious. The pizza was to die for. I did not have to add a speck or chili once it arrived at my table. It was spicy, delicious and the crust was yummy. I loved it and one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Service is super friendly and the owner was also very engaging. The waiters were a nice bunch of people. Ok whilst the meal was expensive, it is to be expected. I would come here in a heartbeat. It's good food and great service.

There is a counter for ordering eat-in or take-away. The menu is in German, but there is also a menu in English for us..."non-fluent in Germen language folks". In this way, the ordering line can move faster because the staff do not need to spend a lot of time translating the menu to patrons. There is a separate counter for ordering delicious-looking desserts. There is seating on the street level and upstairs in another dining area. Once you order the food, you take a seat at a table (depending upon the time of day, it might be difficult to find a seat) and your food is brought to you. My positive experience was further augmented by my wonderful companions and the delectable food.
