He…read moreand his wife would often travel across the border to eat at this particular restaurant for two reasons. 1. the food was more authentic and 2. the prices are waaay cheaper. I must say he was right on both counts. Additionally, the atmosphere was casual, family style dinning and very comfortable. The icing on top for me was that they give take home boxes too. While this may not seem like a big deal, for an American living abroad it was a wonderful surprise. I believe I ate the schinken and fungi pizza, but don't quote me on it... that was about two years ago.

This restaurant shares the first place with the "Il Martino" as the best Italian restaurant in the…read morebroader area. Both of them offer outstanding, traditional and handmade Italian food and stayed close to the Italian art of cooking. The two of them have a charming, welcoming ambience and really friendly employees. Worth a visit!
