YEY for Travel Bug! My hubby and I used the bug to make our honeymoon cruise arrangements. We did our research online and knew where we wanted to go and on what cruise line, but remained open in the event the agent had other suggestions. It could not have been smoother. They walked us through everything, gave advice on times to fly out to Long Beach, what service to use to get to the pier and half a dozen other things that I cannot remember right now. The bottom line is that they took care of everything. A week or so later we picked up our travel documents and we were good to go. I have issues with Travel Bug. Every time I have used this company, one agent in particular has been rude, short and downright unprofessional with me and I can't figure out why. My husband and I have used them for personal and business related travel as well as using them to set up revel for other people in our own company and yet each time the same issues with this one agent. The owner is great; sadly, I always have to deal with the other person. Most recently, I wanted to set up a trip to France and contacted them via email, hoping I could deal with anyone else. It didn't happen. After a series of rude and curt emails on her behalf, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I could have booked the trip myself but I wanted the services of a professional but clearly I wasn't going to get that with Travel Bug. Needless to say I will not be using Travel Bug anymore. read more

After many FAILED vacations planned through popular internet sites (i.e. Aloha airlines going bankupt in 2008 and not getting any notification whatsoever...or arriving to Rome Italy and trying to check in and finding out reservations were not made...thanks solartours) I decided to book all future trips w/ a travel agent. Debbie did a great job setting us up for our first trip to Hawaii! She guided us to Maui's wast shore and listened carefully to our interests. Although Hawaii is expensive, I think she got us a good deal on air, hotel and car. She was very thorough and made sure we had all our paperwork. The trip was a blast! I am extremely disappointed with Linda's services regarding my somewhat last min. travel plans during thanksgiving. I knew I was cutting it close but I wanted to make it happen. Everything I had asked her to look for was thorough and straight forward, I was friendly and kind. The emails that I received back were not only hugely expensive, in which I knew but she gave me no details as to what the accommodations were, such as a studio, a one bed. We were willing to pay such an inflated price for help but you gave me a date and an ocean view, no food or flight, that's it. I emailed her and asked questions, she would email me back about another question. She wouldn't just give me a list of details or call. I had to email and email and then I called and she was so short with me on the phone because the phone was ringing in the background, just shoo'd me off of the phone. If you are willing to lose a current customer for a new customer on the phone then that's what you got. I do not make a habit of giving a bad review nor do I even have the time. But I truly felt like I didn't matter and my needs were not met or important whatsoever. I don't know if she didn't believe me or didn't think we really wanted to travel that quickly or what but I already booked 11 days on my own and a non stop flight round trip and we are leaving in a week. We are business owners, and have 80 employees, treating the customer like they matter is a must. I was patient and gave chance after chance because I truly needed help and needed help very badly and quickly. I'm sorry to post a bad review but I need you to know that it really wasn't a good experience at all for me.... I know you will not make everyone happy, I get that, you just won't but I was happy and tried to work with you. The way you treated me on the phone was very offensive. I even had to find out the passport info on my own because you didn't know anything about how to deal with it, you should know a little but in your defense, I did my research and figured it out. my husband two daughter's and I really needed this trip and thank God I just focused and dropped everything in our lives for three days of constant research to make this work. read more
