So, here's the deal. My sister and I worked with BJ travel for our second Europe trip of a lifetime. The 1st trip in 2018 , Terri and crew helped us plan and execute the vacation of a lifetime that took us across Europe in a month-long adventure with our close friends. Coordinating the plans of 2 groups takes a bit more logistics effort, and that effort get more challenging the more we modified our plans, but Terri's group handled it all with fun and the professional expertise that guaranteed us all a great time. The 2nd trip we were planning is/was for another month-long adventure to Europe, The Cruz tickets were purchased, and we were in process of getting our plane tickets in March of 2020, when the 1st Covid shut down happened. Terri was on top of it, and we re-scheduled post haste to Oct 2020, for surly the pandemic would be done by then. And the fall colors would be spectacular. Well, it didn't take that long to realize that we needed to push out again. This time to spring of 2021, for surly we had to be back in business by then. But this was not to be. This last time we re-scheduled, the pandemic has us all cautiously re-opening and this looked pretty good for Oct 2022, and then WW#3 broke out and 4 million Ukrainians were now refugees seeking any shelter they could find. But still we were planning on going .. and then, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and treatments will still be going on in Oct. ... well that did it. Its time to cancel and try again after treatments were all completed and good health restored. Now we have an issue, my sister and I need to cancel, but our friends can and will take this trip, and we will plan another trip for later. So, our friends are OK to travel, WW3 looks like it will have a minimal impact, and the economy needs those tourist dollars. Terri helped us threw the whole process of cancellation. It's not all that strait forward, and my brain was being addled by the treatments. But she steered us threw it, and we have been complete refunded from both Cruz, and Swiss Air in a most expeditious of manners. Bottom line, BJ travel saw us threw the planning for 2 European vacations that included all manner of transportation, and all manner of accommodations and of course, all done with 1st class travel. BJ Travel demonstrated all the kindness and patients that the last 3 years has demanded from us all, but Terri achieved with style and grace. She walked us through a complicated cancellation process that brought a quick and happy solution. There can be many pitfalls in traveling, and the last 2 yrs. have challenged us all. DO NOT USE BJS TRAVEL. I purchased a cruise, paid in full. When calling to cancel, I was required to pay a cancellation fee immediately but was told it would take 3-5 days to return. When calling back 1 week later, eas advised it would take 6-10 business days to receive my refund. Call back on the 11th day and was told it would take 30-60 days to have my money returned to me. When trying to escalate this problem up, I was told by the Supervisor 1 Arlene that there is no person I can contact. Instead, I must wait for a phantom return call from a Supervisor 2. Arlene refused to give me any identifiable information other than her name and provided no addtl information distinguishing her from other "Arlenes" in the company. She always plans the best trips for us based on where we want to visit, what we like, what budget we're working with, and what amenities we're hoping to get. We've used BJ Travel Center twice now. Terri has always been extremely helpful and quick to get us answers on our vacation plans. We last used this place quite a while ago, but i never got around to making a review on here. We heard about the travel center from family, who had also used them in the past. We first used them for our honeymoon, which was all the way back in July of 2007. We booked an Alaskan cruise on Carnival. Terri was able to get us a better price than we could find online, AND got us an upgraded room. It was nice to have a room with an actual balcony you could go outside on. The second time we used Terri's services was about a year ago when we booked a cruise to Mexico. We wanted to take a quick few days off, and we were recommended to take the Carnival cruise to Ensenada and Catalina. The price was great, and as usual, we are very thankful for Terri's help! Our next vacation, whereever it may be, will definitely be booked through Terri and her Travel Center. Great service, great prices, and they make sure you're happy. 5 stars! read more

We have used BJ Travel for a couple of trips now and love the service we get from them. Tammy is our go-to and she keeps us advised of changes in our travel schedule, is there for any questions we have, and deals with our back and forth destination selection with professionalism and lots and lots of patience! We just returned from our sixth trip to the Riviera Maya, but the first we've booked through Tammy. She made sure to inform us about the ins and outs of getting through the airport, to the transfer company, and some safety tips about the area. We are familiar with the area, so we already knew what to expect, but having her go that extra mile made me confident enough to refer a friend who was interested in taking her family for the first time to that area. When we arrived at our destination the carrier DID NOT HAVE A CLUE about the booking. We paid over $250.00 for this tour. As a result we booked the tour with the carrier. After coming back home we contacted BJ's Travel concerning this issue. BJ's refused to refund our money and put us on the runaround. We will NEVER use BJ's Travel again. Terri just helped us book ours on rather short notice for the European trip we had in mind, after the original referral we received for another travel agency fell through. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I booked a trip for my in-laws, and I don't know if it's because it was a group reservation or not but the agent Melissa Fields failed to send me updated information on their flights. She had my email on file because I was the one to send all their passport information along with payment. However she failed to send me the correct Itinerary. The one she sent me turned out to be the wrong flight information. The flight number did not exist and the time was off by 2 hours. I called the 24 hour emergency line multiple times to get a hold of someone, and left several messages without a return call. What is the point of having an emergency line!!?? Very unprofessional and I'm VERY disappointed with the service I received. I will never book any flights through these people again! read more

I spoke with a couple of different travel agencies before ultimately deciding to go with BJ Travel Center to plan my destination wedding in Jamaica + honeymoon in Cancun. I worked with Tammy for both trips and had a great experience! Tammy coordinated travel to Jamaica for my husband and I, as well as 35 wedding guests coming from all over the United States (California, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, and D.C). Every time I spoke with one of my guests, they all had great things to say about Tammy. She was quick with getting initial quotes out to people, and did the extra work of finding multiple options for people who were trying to travel on a budget. She sent out reminders and got information to people in the way they were most comfortable (electronic documents for those who were more tech savvy and mailed paper documents for those who wanted physical copies). Everyone had a nice welcome gift / note when they arrived at the resort in Jamaica and not a single guest had any troubles during their travel. She was also very thoughtful in making sure the resort knew if any of the guests were celebrating any special occasions (my husband's parents were celebrating their 30-year wedding anniversary). For our honeymoon, Tammy made sure that we had private transfers to/from the airport, that we got a room on the "VIP" side of the resort, and set us up with the honeymoon package. Overall, Tammy was great to work with. She was able to handle travel for a relatively large group, as well as travel for just 2 people. She respected our budget by never pressuring us to spend more than we wanted, and was very easy to talk to whether over email or the phone. A few of my guests have mentioned to me that they've referred some of their friends to Tammy and I've passed her name along as well. My husband and I are already talking with her again to help us plan a New Year's trip to South America. Definitely check out this place before you try to plan anything on your own! read more

I chose to work with BJ Travel after hearing so many great reviews. I, however, did not have such a pleasant experience. I was in Fremont, CA on a business trip and have never been to the western states. My stay was for two months and I had weekends available for sight-seeing. I contacted BJ Travel for help deciding on where to go and my only restriction was that any trip I take would be on Saturday and Sunday only. Initially, I thought an Amtrak train ride would be nice. After emailing BJ, all I got was a link to the Amtrak tours. I got no help in determining where the trains originated from, etc. I decided, after looking up information on my own, that I would stay close to Fremont based on time restrictions. Second idea was to go into San Francisco for a bike tour across the Golden Gate or to tour Alcatraz. I got skittish and did not want to drive the rental car into the city, so I turned again to BJ Travel for help. It took BJ Travel a few weeks to get back to me (apparently someone was on vacation), with a suggestion to use BART, but by then I had already figured out BART on my own, including the train transfer due to the weekend train schedules. Last trip I decided to take was a Napa Wine Tour. I looked up wine tours, on my own, and found that most originate from the city. It didn't make sense for me to drive or take BART for one hour into the city, only to spend another 2 hours riding up to Napa with a group. So, on my final weekend in CA, after not hearing at all from BJ Travel, I decided to drive up to Napa with the help of my GPS. The Napa visitor center was a huge help in deciding what vineyards to visit. Bottom line: BJ Travel might be good for those European trips and any trips that require airfare or cruise, but they are hopeless at helping people who are visiting the Bay Area for the first time. read more

I used this service to book a cruise ...I was promised bjs gift cards as a reward for booking with them ...my cruise was in April ...called to check where the cards were after waiting the 8 weeks after the cruise like I was instructed ...was told it was shipped to me on June 10...never received them ..called back several times ..was promised that a supervisor would call me ..never happened ..was told that they would have to be reordered and it would take another 8 weeks ...I wanted to speak to a supervisor again ...nobody got back to me ..today they said there was no way to tell when I would get them because they were still looking into it ..now they said they would contact "administration " because they are above a supervisor...I will never use them again ..and I book cruises a few times a year read more
