Bed bugs. We are musicians- 6 of us on tour in one van. We booked two rooms and discovered massive bed bugs just before we got into bed. They would not refund us for both rooms even tho they knew we had to leave together. At first they said we must be mistaken and that there are mosquitoes outside. We then showed them the photos of the bed covered in bed bugs and bed bug fecal matter. There were large ones & toward the end of their life cycle as well as babies. The manager also saw the bedbugs with his own eyes and said he'd "see us in court" rather than refund us. He said he's never dealt with this issue - we're now reading multiple previous yelp reviews that say this exact thing from a year ago. read more

Rooms are adequate for a brief road trip stop out in the middle of nowhere Arkansas. After driving 8-9 hours and being on the road for about 10-12, this place provided a nice respite. Towels are on the small side. However, they do need to do a better job at cleaning and vacuuming behind the bed and in the ceilings as well. There were cobwebs and dead bugs behind the bed post and also cobwebs in a ceiling corner above the bathroom tub. read more

Good price for hotel paid $70 total after taxes for 1 bed. Good cold A/C room has small refrigerator and microwave and a small coffee machine. Nice hot shower and they have wall mounts that provides free shower gel to guests. Clean sheets. They could use new towels but they where decent overall would stay here again if I happen to drive by this town late at night. read more

Nice little motel off the interstate. Pulled in to catch some shut eye, driving from Galveston, TX all the way to the eastern part of KY ( 16 hours) and we decided to stay a night. 7 of us ( 3 adult, 4 children) 2 rooms for $150. Not a bad price. Outside looks nice and the inside was too. Room 111 had a shower problem but could easily be fixed. I didn't get a chance to tell the owners because we left early around 5 am to get back on the road after checking in around 10. It is by a Loves gas station so there are A LOT of semis. I didn't hear anything but that could be because I was dead tired but I felt safe and there's also a Mexican restaurant next door. Literally. Didn't get any pics because I just wanted to shower and sleep. read more

The hotel is somewhere near Stage 3 if it were rated like cancers. The owner is friendly enough, but too many corners are cut in cleaning and maintenance. Each time I was at the front desk, it smelled strongly of moth balls. That may have been due to the taxidermy kept on the counter and nearby, or not. The room was very tired and had a miserly feeling about it. The pillows were so old and cheap they were flattened with age, really old foam fill. Both bedside lamps were unplugged for some reason, indicating housekeeping (if it were not the owner) had not properly checked the room after the prior use. The fridge was turned off and had water covering the freezer bottom and mildew in the door. The microwave had a dirty napkin in it and food bits around in it. As I picked up something I had dropped at the sink, I saw that Romex had been run openly under the sink and attached to the front of the vanity, no conduit, and had run through to the bathroom via open holes in the wall. This absolutely cannot be to code. When I checked out the bath, it was ok but the curtain was yellowed with soap and failure to launder it regularly and replace it. I removed it and took it downstairs to the front office and asked the owner for a clean one. She did without comment or apology. I made a trip to get ice a few minutes later and couldn't find any vending or ice machine on the 2nd floor, so I went downstairs and eventually found it at the back door of the lobby building. There was a washer and dryer and an ice machine, but the front of the ice machine was hanging off and electrical components were visible. Could not be safe. In the room, the night latch on the door had been removed and a flimsy chain guard had been installed, so flimsy that a child could have forced the door if it were all that stood between entry and an intruder. It was literally being held to the door jamb by one loose screw. The room key cards were in re-use, making the security very dubious, as the number was written on each one in permanent marker, and a note was plastered to the inside of the room requesting the keys to be left at checkout. This means the keys are being reused and not sanitary as well as the codes are unchanged. The room was $62 total, which was higher than the room's quality and maintenance justified. They did offer a breakfast in that price but I was unwilling to risk it after the condition issues with the room. Additionally, the Mexican restaurant just in front has garbage bins out back which really stink as you come and go to the office. read more

After traveling 13 hours from Texas we just wanted a place to crash. However, this place was surprisingly great. (At night doesn't look like much) The bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. The woman who helped us was very nice. Would definitely stay here again. Bonus: El Amigo is a good Mexican food restaurant. I wouldn't get the fajitas though. Didn't look right. But tacos yummy. read more

When you're driving through middle America and need a motel to crash at, this is it. Low price, clean, convenient, and friendly. We arrived late and didn't have a problem getting a room. The desk clerk was friendly and told us about free wifi and breakfast. We had a non smoking king bed. The room was tidy, bed was clean, cable worked fine, and shower was fine. Got a good night sleep, had free breakfast in the morning and conveniently got back on the highway in the morning. read more

This place was horrible. But I agree with the other reviewers, the woman at the desk was nIce. Blood literally on the sheets when I pulled the comforter back. Filthy bathtub, wouldn't even take a shower in it. Sticky baby handprints in the mirror. Went to call the front desk and the phone had hairs on it. Heater made so much noise it was impossible to get a good nights sleep, and the parking lot was extremely noisy all night. We complained to the front desk and they said the maid's brother had died and she wasn't herself. A) why was she working if her brother has died. B) why would you put sheets with blood on them in a bed? C) If she was that distraught over the brother dying then she needed a day off to grief. I think this was a systemic problem. read more

This place may not look like it's competitors but it sure measures up. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. It is far enough out of Little Rock that you don't need to deal with city traffic in the morning and not close enough to Memphis to have to deal with room rates well over $100. After taxes etc. I would recommend it to anyone passing through. 2 stars does not do it justice. read more

This place has everything you could need for an overnight stop on the 40. Clean rooms, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker. The beds were comfy and the shower works well. The best part is the lady at the front desk. She is very friendly and welcoming. I recommend the Travel Inn and would stop here again! read more

You can't beat this for the price. Very well kept rooms, and utilities were excellent. Great a/c, and water pressure. The manager is an incredibly nice woman. I was just passing through and her hospitality at 4am even though I could tell I had woken her up was unwavering. read more

Office woman was friendly. We were told over the phone the room was 49.95, after filling out the room card etc.. she said taxes were at 16% and it made the price jump from 49 to 58 dollars for the room. I looked it up and the tourism taxes are not 16% in Hazen AR. So my wife and I felt a little ripped off after check in. Then we got to the room. The dead bolt is jammed and can not be used to lock the door from the inside. Then we turn the lights on. Well we turned one light on because all the other lamps had burnt out bulbs in them ( maybe to keep electric bill down)? Not sure. Then we decided to relax and watch something on t.v. ... when we turned it on the whole screen was bright red, someone had turned the color up all the way and just to put the icing on the cake , the T.v. Remote only had a couple working buttons. There was no way to get to the menu to fix the picture and get rid of the red hue.( I even tried on the actual t.v. No luck there. ) It was unwatchable. So I went to our car and we got a laptop to watch Netflix in the room. Thankfully the Wifi was decent. The room seemed pretty clean but there was lots of someone else's hair everywhere which made us feel like it wasn't clean. The room was hot so we turned on the ac and it wasn't really working correctly the knobs were all flimsy and weird I couldn't really tell which notch the knob was on because it just keeps turning and turning. So I opened the window because it was cooler outside, but there was no screen on the window so I closed it after a couple min. This isn't meant to be a bad review I'm just stating the facts. You decide. Maybe give it a try . It may have just been the room we happened to stay in. There may be nicer rooms. Sorry to be a downer. read more

This was by far the biggest dump I've ever stayed at. Spent a considerable amount of time killing so many mosquitos. Went into the bathroom and found a HUGE bug in the filthy and disgusting bathtub. All the walls were filled with holes. Would have been more comfortable and better off sleeping in my car. read more
