We also drove to the park yesterday to book in person, but the office was locked, no one there, which is why we called today.

It has now been 3 weeks, and I still have not received anything. I have called multiple times and keep getting different answers -- that it's up to "corporate" or that a check has already been sent, yet nothing has arrived. One staff member (Meagan) was especially rude and dismissive when I tried to get an update, which made the situation even worse. Lisa was the only person who showed kindness and professionalism, but unfortunately she is no longer there. At this point, I am simply asking for the refund that was promised. I hope management takes this seriously and resolves it immediately.

The limo was a very impressive white superstretch with a personalize sign for the newlyweds. They even rolled out the red carpet for the couple to walk down. Very nice way to send off the bride and groom! Highly recommend!

A couple days ago I had occasion to be in Abilene, TX, not really by choice as I was lost and…read moretrying to get back home to Arizona, but I did hear the wonderful old song "Abilene" by George Hamilton IV (from 1963!) on SiriusXM as I was driving aimlessly about Texas, a rather large state ("It's like a whole other country!"). My cell phone was not working, and I was rather rattled as I was an older woman traveling alone and these days that seems a bit scary, especially when you don't have a way to call 911 from the road. Also no one sells maps anymore. :( This extremely friendly, smiley, helpful young woman working in the Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau was my angel in disguise. She gave me a Texas map -- for free! (they're ginormous like the state) -- and also an Abilene map and even highlighted it and gave me written directions to their local Verizon store so that I could try to get my phone working again. She even let me call home to tell my hubby that I was all right and where I was at and headed. We pulled in on a Sunday, so there was no one to check in with, we found one open site, pulled in and set up. Monday morning the office opened up at 9am and we paid $35 for the night. There is alot to see at the Air Plane Museum self walking tour. There is also an archery set up right across the street from the fam camp. There are several pull-through sites but all were taken by 2:30 in the afternoon, the early bird gets the worm. lol

Cars are wonderful, but buses can be too. Grew up in San Francisco (also born in Texas) and that wasn't all that big a City and still isn't. Develop, convenient, fast, inexpensive public transportation and they will come!
