It was a sorry day when I decided to work with Tina Spielmann at Travel Leaders. She was difficult and petulant from the beginning. Then she played hardball: on my return from a cruise, she booked me overnight at a stop-over when there were plenty of flights home that same day. My itinerary was not detailed enough, so I did not realize until I was stuck overnight until it was too late. Stay away from her and her travel agency. read more

Our experience with Tina Spielmann was a nightmare!!! she is very unprofessional and after she made many empty promises and had our booking and $'s in her greedy hands. All communication stopped. she did not do one thing for me or our party, seriously.. she could not even respond to and email that one of our guest sent with some questions. We booked one year out and in literally less then two weeks before the trip myself or our guest had not heard form Tina! and then a week before the occasion most guest had not received their tickets!! I booked the same group of 26 people on a cruise with AAA Travel and our experience with Mary Beth was hands down above and beyond!! This occasion was my daughters wedding Tina said she would do all the communication with the wedding planer in Mexico not one email was sent to confirm details. My daughter and I were so embarrassed because we had sent Tina's information to all our guest and promised she would take great care of them and four of our quest mentioned how rude Tina had been. My advice...work with any other travel agency other then Travel Leaders. Happy travels. read more

We stayed…read moreone night in a grassy, fairly level 50 amp electric only site that functioned as a pull-thru because no one else was there and we were just told to pull through the site behind us to get to ours. Otherwise when it's full, these sites are back to back. They're also next to the state road and pretty far from the restrooms and bathhouse. The tent sites and 30 amp sites are closer to the bathhouse and further away from the highway. They have very limited 50 amp sites so make sure you reserve it if you need it. The lady at check in was friendly and helpful. Your camping fee gives you access to all the historic buildings there and you're free to wander around the grounds. Some of the 30 amp campsites have water but they look like they're filled with long term residents or seasonal workers. Dump station is on site, free. There's free WiFi but it was weak at our site. No cable, no playground, no pool, no off leash dog park. For the price, this was a good overnight for us and we would likely return.

It's very small with very little variety. The kiddos all loved that you could appear to be in a fish tank but there wasn't much to capture adults attention. The touch tank was all netted off so that left nothing much to do! The butterflies were nice but there didn't seem to really be that many in the house and only a few varieties. Standing in line to get in was one thing but then having to stand in line to leave felt a little claustrophobic!! The staff was not friendly, welcoming or available to interact with, most seemed a bit bored. The fake flowers and nectar seems like a great idea but unfortunately not many folks were having any luck! All in all, it's a nice little attraction to spend an hour or so!

Never received a call, showed up 15 mins before check and felt like we were asking for the world. They had to send someone to check if the room was done. So after 3 requests it was still one of the last rooms done? On top of it all the pool was closed, so the kids couldn't swim!

He is currently on hospice, but we were able to bring him over to the hotel to sit outside by the lake. He loved it. The employees repeatedly asked about our visit and made recommendations on things to do when we weren't with his father. They genuinely seemed to care! Plus, it was nice to walk in and be able to see their smiling faces and to talk a little about our visit. The rooms are very nice and the beds were comfortable! It was perfect for us!

I am staying at the hotel for six nights and one of the two elevators has been broken for my entire stay. So wait times are long at peak demand times. Second, the laundry machines are out of order- Apparently "waiting for a part". This is an amenity that I count on- so very annoying. After asking 3 times, I did not get maid service on the day it was supposed to happen. I arrived back at my room at 6:30 PM exhausted and no maid service. The maids were still working and cheerfully attended to my room. Apparently staffing shortfalls were the issue. Finally, the breakfasts are understaffed. There is only one very hard working individual attempting to replenish the buffet, clear the tables, handle guest requests etc. So once peak demand starts- trays can run empty and staff are too busy to refill them promptly. One day I finally gave up waiting for the hash browns to be replenished. Minor item but part of an annoying pattern of service shortfalls. It's not the staff on the ground- they are excellent- it's management decisions to shave costs that seem to be the culprit.

We stay in Sioux Falls 3-4 times a year (and have been doing so for 10 years). We've tried AirBnBs…read moreand hotels. We have now settled in on this StayBridge (not the one at the mall which we have tried in the past) as our 'go to' place to stay. For us the location is solid - can get to the highway and downtown easily. Ample parking even when the hotel is full (which it was for most of our week long stay). The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms, hallway and parking lot are all clean. The breakfast changes daily - always has an egg dish, a breakfast meat, carb choices (including you can make waffles), fruit, yogurt and juice, soda or coffee. The small exercise room is fine - 3 cardio machines plus dumbbells. The small pool looked fine (we didn't go in). The building is solid - so we didn't hear hallway traffic or the people aboe or below us. The price is appropriate. Biggest 'complaint' - the dishwasher had way too much rust in it - that should be reviewed and fixed )we were on a 2 bedroom suite). We have already booked our next stay!
