1st off Let me say this Inn Is a one night stop over over and. It is not a place you want to…read morebring the family and grandma to spend the week. Things to do here are very very limited. However there is a really nice locomotive on display that makes a really cool picture. Other than that not much to see. NOTE: this hotel is not the "RED LION" any longer it is currently named the "THE LA JUNTA INN" and the restaurant is no longer "DICKIES BBQ" its now the "YACK & THE YETI" ( Indian, Nepal and Tibetan food) This INN is currently (9/30/22) Under construction and is about 85% complete accordin the work crews. The rooms have been completely renovated and maybe one of the most comfortable beds I have ever laid my bones into. Obviously the rooms were very clean. The restaurant was clean and the staff was polite and efficient. Our waitress was from 15 minutes of our hometown in NC so that was cool. The meals were properly prepared and were very tasty, the breads, or "naan" as it is called, was also very tasty. After a week of elk hunting and being very very tired the good night's sleep was a dream come true for sure. All I could think about after that wonderful night's sleep was getting a fresh cup of coffee. My wife and I got dressed and headed down to the lobby for a muffin and some coffee, oh my, I was needing a large cup of coffee so bad. I grabbed the largest cup I could find and stuck it under the coffee pot and wallah nothing came out. Seeing this my wife went over to inform the attendant that she was out of coffee, the attendant cocked her head to the side and looked at her and said yes I see, I need to put another pot on. I went outside to wait on her to fix another pot and my wife stayed inside. The attendant NEVER made any attempt to start a new pot of coffee, instead just fiddled around her counter. While writing this review I thought about the owner from Denver who was investing tons of money trying to attract new guest. If he only knew how his employee was acting why he was not there. Maybe she is his daughter, that would be the only way I would ever allow her to stay there and work. Overall a nice clean hotel to spend 1 night in and decent restaurant to get a plate of food it's me. Just don't expect much from the attended at the morning breakfast.

Low priced. Newly renovated. I accidentally reserved the wrong day but they were still able to…read moreaccommodate me. Rooms are clean and new. Staff is friendly. Use there website to book so you can have the most options.

We are writing to express our extreme disappointment with our stay at your hotel on June 10, 2026…read more Overall, our room was in poor condition and was not clean. More importantly, we discovered two serious life-safety issues that should never be overlooked: There was no smoke alarm installed in the room (see attached photo). The secondary security lock on the door was broken (see attached photo). These issues raise serious concerns about the safety of your guests. At a minimum, rooms should be routinely inspected to ensure they are clean, properly maintained, and that all safety equipment and security features are in working order before guests check in. We strongly encourage property management to implement regular room inspections, if not daily, to verify that rooms meet basic cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards. Guests should be able to expect a safe and comfortable environment during their stay. Based on our experience at this Econo Lodge, we are left with very little confidence in your brand and may never choose to stay at another Econo Lodge property. We hope you will take these concerns seriously and address them promptly to prevent other guests from having a similar experience.

This hotel should be condemned. Forget about the advertised pool and hot tub, they're both out…read moreof service. I stay in a lot of hotels. 30+ last year. I've never jn my life had a deal clerk walk me to my room to show me which lights were safe to use and which were not. Also the clerk was kind enough to point out the water damage and black mold on the ceiling. Along with the scorch marks and carbon tracing from the electrical fire. I slept in the room until my throat and eyes burned and itched to badly from the mold then I gave up and left. If the us government kept pow's in this hotel we would face a war crime tribunal. Do yourself a favor. If this hotel is your only option, sleep in the nearest drainage culvert instead
