We we told our pup was healthy from the rescue/Vet, we still took the pup to our regular Vet after bringing him home. It turns out, he still had fleas AND had a bad ear infection (and no medication was administered for it). Neither of which were addressed during the rescue's in-take and during his care/time at the farm. After another week... and we found live worms in our pup's stools and immediately had to buy more medicine for tapeworms. I read previous reviews saying similar experiences (but given they were anywhere from 1-2 yrs ago I thought this might have been addressed with the time that had passed), but no as of Nov 2024 these are still very valid conditions to be aware of. The animals need to be further tested and treated during the adoption process (and really should be done during a quarantine period to avoid it being a constant cycle at the Farm). To add to the issue, we have other pets at home, so, unbeknownst, introducing fleas and worms to the rest of our gang, plus remediation, was very frustrating. We've also asked for the formal rabies certificate, as well as the tag... and feel like the request goes ignored. They only hand wrote in a Rabies # on the adoption paperwork which doesn't seem very valid. I'm sad I have to write a "bad" review, because we'd like to believe the rescue's intetions are in the right place. But I hope FKAR considers these similar comments/complaints going forward to truly ensure they are adopting out healthy animals.

This review has been a long-time in happening but it's mostly my fault for not knocking it out…read moreweeks ago. I was late to the pandemic dog/puppy party, I started work with a new shop that didn't require me to do the regular run & gun previous shops had me doing, and I finally felt ready to get a new puppy after two years of grieving on the loss of my last girlie. As soon as my new girlie had all her shots, one of the things I wanted to start doing early is getting socialized with as many different dogs as I could with her. Woodstock Canine was the first I visited and the only one that would take her as young as she was at the time. As time went by, she also visited a few other doggie daycare locations, one I avoided will go nameless, but it was a huge deal on Nextdoor about how they treat their four-legged clients and I promptly scratched them off the list. Another doggie daycare was going along great until I had to bolt out of town for a business emergency and let her stay the night at this 'other' location, I had gotten an alert from their staff that she wasn't walking great and was wondering if I could take her to my vet. The vet discovered that whatever the daycare/boarding facility used to clean the place burned a couple of her pads and I was out $900 in vet bills because their staff was probably more interested in Facebook updates than client health. One other scare sealed it for me never taking her there again. Woodstock Canine Clubhouse is exclusively where she goes for daycare and an emergency boarding if I get stuck with something, or I forgot about a party happening and didn't add it to Google Calendar. My girlie starts bouncing around when I make the right turn onto the road where Woodstock Canine Clubhouse is on and as soon as we're parked, she can't wait to get inside and play with her friends with the staff and all her other four-legged friends on the inside. At the end of the day, and as soon as we're barely out of their lot, she's crying that I'm taking her away from her friends, but that doesn't last long as she's fast asleep on the drive home. After dinner at home, she's fast asleep until around midnight when she asks to do her business (and dinner has digested) where she makes her way to the couch, bed, sometimes the crate and is back into a night of sleep only I can dream about having. Don't take my word on this, give your dog a day off and give Woodstock Canine Clubhouse a try, and see if your results mirror mine, I'm certain you won't be disappointed.

Her replacement Dr Rehe, as far as we are concerned, has carried the expectations and services EXTREMELY well in our book! Recently we needed to have our puppies growth removed. Dr Rehe, was "OUTSTANDING", not just with what she did for our puppy, but her demeanor and advise. Both her, and all her nurses / helpers..are all "GREAT PEOPLE" in our book! This morning I got a call from my vet "We have your dog" and my heart sank- that is how I found out. This is the worst experience of my life with any service ever. We never feel rushed through this process. She let's us take all the time we need. I almost forgot to mention one of the other benefits of in home euthanasia: We have other dogs in our family. After Dr Jessica puts my girl to rest, we have our other dogs come in to say goodbye. My other guys know exactly where their pack mate went. They're not confused & they don't wander around the house looking for their family member. The comfort this brings them is priceless. If you're in need of this service, do call them & request Dr. Jessica. She makes a very difficult time just a bit easier. I highly recommend her!
