2022 we had Travelling Trees design our beds and plant the bushes. They turn out beautiful. 2025/2026 freeze killed most of them. I will start off by saying this entity gets busy, and you may need to stay on top of them and follow up. That aside, lets get to the details: I got recommended to them by my neighbor when I asked who was it that installed his trees a few days back. Upon following up a man came to my home and gave me insight. Looked at what my property looked like and answered my questions on some other trees I was debating with. I wanted color in the back, but something more appealing and relaxing in the front. All while staying within the "HOA" guidelines. I had to have 3 Oak trees removed, they were in the ground no more than 2 years. The trees themselves were obviously more than 2 years old. I had someone whom was going to do this, but the "root ball" had to be confirmed removed completely for them to assure my install was correct and covered. The price quoted included the removal. I bought a Tri-Foxtail (three-stem specimen). The Foxtail Triple looks great. There was an upgraded option just under $900 but not seeing it in person I couldn't justify it. Plus I will be here most likely 30 years so this boy will be big by then, and I like to watch them grow. I bought a yellow trumpet, a pink trumpet tree (Tabebuia), and a Lemon Tree. When the guy came out he assured me my HOA, and permit would be taken care of for the removal of the Oak trees and for install of the new ones (mainly the Front one). Moving forward 1 week later. 2 guys showed up. Supper friendly, smiling, etc... Also while they were here, Code Enforcement showed up oddly enough. Asked me about the removal of the trees and if I pulled a permit. Howey in the Hills is a very small town, and I informed him I was told Traveling Trees would of done this. I am assuming they did as nothing came back to me since then 3 days ago. They re-routed my irrigation to the back where the new trees were placed outlining my back property line, and future proofed it too so pool install wont be a problem either. The moved our Money tree (Guiana Chestnut) as it wouldn't work where the Tabebuia would be at, and the Lemon tree in the middle giving perfect color and appealing look. The following day they had to bring more soil as the front tree roots were Much Bigger than projected. No trash left behind, and based on what I found for the trees I wanted and the size they were installing, I couldn't complain at all. Very reasonable for install and removal. The guy that came out the install day to dig the irrigation was very friendly, and we talked a bit. I normally don't share things but I felt very confident and comfortable with everything. The first guy was the sales and his phone rang almost non stop. The guys removing the trees and installing were friendly and very positive. Almost like they enjoyed their job which is refreshing these days. All in all I totally would recommend this company. I would definitely come here again for tree items. If you are paying by card, you will have to go to the store to do this. Otherwise they take check on-site (at home). I look forward to going to the store this weekend if open. read more

Decided to purchase a tree here(Traveling trees), then we deiced to have them deliver and plant it. After we paid we were told delivery would be scheduled in the next couple weeks. The next day I dug a hole and decided just to pick up the tree. When we went back they wanted to charge me a return fee(5%) to cancel the delivery. I then told them just to cancel the order and I will get my money back from my credit card company and write this review. It a shame businesses do so much to get customers in there establishments, when customer satisfaction goes so much farther. read more

Purchased an orange tree $80.00. It died a slow death over a short period of time...a fungus it turns out wiped out our little tree. I asked the owner if he would replace the tree- NO. I asked the owner for a refund- NO. I asked the owner for a credit, partial or otherwise-NO. I have spent close to $2,000.00 on plants, trees, and bushes over a three year period. I can safely say I was an above average client. As our conversation was ending the owner said, and I quote, "so now I suppose I am the bad guy"? To which I responded "YES, you are." My suggestion is to shop where you feel your investment is appreciated and your purchase protected. read more

I've enjoyed my visits and the people there are friendly. They also have some things I haven't seen at the larger nurseries. The only problem I ever had was with the installation of two crepe myrtle trees. Now, I'm a gardener and have been into it for over 30 years. My previous home was new in 1988 and sat on an acre of land. Twenty years later we had a gorgeously landscaping home with over 75 individual plants and trees on it, all done ourselves and featured in west coast magazines. I've followed every rule of thumb I could find on landscaping and creating happy healthy plants. Two young men showed up to plant the crepe myrtles. I had everything in hand for them including what they needed to amend the existing crappy Florida soil to a rich humus. I presumed they'd also follow the rule of the hole being twice as wide as the pot. They were about to push the trees into holes the same size as the root ball in the pot. I had to stop them and tell them it has to be bigger and we MUST amend the soil too. I again showed them the large bag of good organic soil to mix in with the existing. They did both things, made the hole bigger and amended the soil but they seemed to think none of it was necessary. I thought the office might like to know this and gave them a call the next day. Whoever I talked to advised me that they've been doing this for years and know what they're doing. Maybe the attitude about proper planting is different in Florida but that could also be why I see so many dead and dying plants here. If you're going to spend the money you want it to live. I vote for the established methods of planting. This happened about 3 months ago but I was just thinking about when looking at my happy crepe myrtles read more

The previous place we were at made us feel like we were a nuisance so it was refreshing to talk to someone that was polite and really knew her plants! Went to the new Mascotte location and bought a beautiful tree. It looked great on our patio with our other plants, within 2 months the leaves began to turn brown. I reached out to the owner, Tim said "if I had to take a guess without seeing the tree in person with the photographs you sent it almost looks like it got dry from water which any evergreen takes time to show up it doesn't resemble anything else I've ever seen". Bought 2 trees from this place and 3 days after they were planted one of them started dying. I went to the place as soon as I saw the tree was getting silver and the lady told me to water more and come back again. I kept watering more and went back to get told the same thing. The owner, Tim, said the same thing. To keep watering and come back. I went back a couple of times and he was not there and I had to deal with the grumpy lady that works there during the week. At the end they do not guarantee their trees so I wasted $125. The ladies during the weekend are nice. But the lady during the week is very UNHAPPY and has a horrible attitude. I will definitely never go back to this place. I will buy all my trees for my backyard project at another place. read more
