Stayed over with "Garry C" & "Carrie. A" and other members of the family. Myself and "Carrie. A" stayed over 2 nights with our daughter in a family room which consisted of a room with a double bed & a couch that turned into a bed (double or single). For the bathroom we had both a bath & shower with a toilet. A 22" Flat Screen which was wall mounted in front of the bed for easy viewing. The room seemed very cosy but i got the feeling that this was a "budget" Travelodge hotel. Our room was also situated on the road side which even now as i type this i can here a little bit of traffic noise. The linen was very thin and the room while it had a electric radiator was cold at times but not as cold as the area where the stairwell & lift were situated. Bed was comfy but could have done with the pillows being a bit more plumped. Now onto Breakfast. Breakfast isn't included in the price and is an additional extra (around £6-£7 extra per person). Its the normal sort of breakfast you will find in 98% of hotels which consists of either cereals, yogurts, croissants or hot breakfast (egg, bacon, sausage & beans) which is all you can eat. Its ok, the food is not topped up but is left till it has run out before more hotter food comes out. On a minus, i'm no snob but one thing i don't want to be seeing is other guest coming down from their rooms to have breakfast while still in their dressing gowns & PJ's. I'm sure this may have just been a small group that were staying at the time but the lack of anyone speaking to them showed that there wasn't the slightest hint of a dress code. The Bar at night is expensive and so is the food (which can be picked up and taken to your room to eat). I didn't order any food so can't comment on it. The Hotel is good enough for a one night stay, and at a push 2 nights but anything above that i think i'd pay extra for a hotel that has some sort of activities (sauna or swimming pool ??) as it would drive me mad staying here. read more

Okay, Travelodge Travelodge, when i think of this hotel, frozen food comes in to my mind. But lets start from beginning. Business trip it was, and this was our hotel. We arrived checked. I'm from East Europe we have different cable connectors, so i saw that reduction in that Vending stuff machine. I Bought it for 5GBP, it got stuck. So i ended up spending around 12GBP in that machine. Heh. Girls on reception told me that machine is not in their responsibility and that i should call number on machine. It was useless as was around 6PM eve. That is bit side story, be care full with that machine there its a money eater! So i headed to my room, i struggled for like 10 minutes to open the doors with the card. It was god damn magic once you figure it out you will never forget. Rooms were quite good, however small, if i should stay for more that two days i would not be comfortable. Towels and shower gels are included in bathroom. Food, we need to eat, but please don't eat down there. We had to as we had prepaid diner from Company. It was from frozen stuff microwaved back there. I have nothing to add, frozen food is not classified as a culinary experience. This was ridiculous, tasteless.. Breakfast were bit better but don't expect anything special only bacon, beans and sausage, but it was at least eatable and we enjoyed it much more than again i have to say it frozen dinner. WiFi connection is free for 30 minuted then you have to pay. Signal was good. Overall it good for one-two night stay if you want to stay longer don't go there. read more

As basic as you can get! As a brand new building it looks great but the bathroom is small they don't even have a wardrobe, just a shelf in the corner with some hangers underneath. A plastic chair! (What happened to the wooden reproduction look) which is not comfy at all, oh and a small side table which would just fit a laptop on it, also the smallest kettle I have ever seen, talk about basic and cheap! The breakfast was good with a good selection, but the cooked breakfast was a little sparse, but guests coming to breakfast in their nightwear is not on, there should be a strict dress code! Plus WI-FI wasn't included in the price and was overly expensive. £5 = 1hr £10 = 24hrs read more
