The rooms are furnished with the usual that you'd expect in this price range: bed, chair or divan, nice desk, lots of lights, air conditioning, an open wardrobe, TV, coathooks, one drawer, hair dryer vanity, toilet and bathtub/shower. The bathtub is nice and deep, although unusually high off the floor. I found myself missing the mini-fridge that so many chains include. The free breakfast is the best I have seen in any hotel I've stayed: full English breakfast, a good choice of cold cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juices, coffee, tea, etc. Some items, you have to ask for the kitchen to make up for you (vegetarian sausages, porridge, omelettes). The restaurant is also open the rest of the day, but like most hotel restaurants, it's pretty overpriced. Fortunately, High Wycombe is pretty well supplied with fun places to eat, a number of which are within easy walking distance. There is also lots of shopping nearby. There is free wi-fi, with the option to upgrade to a fast connection by paying for it.

Finding the place at night was a nightmare, as signage was practically hidden and the little side road access to the hotel was invisible at night. We drove around for over an hour looking for some way to get to the place. The check-in and check-out process was the most disorganized I have ever witnessed with reception staff having to disappear into the back somewhere for printouts and change! This all took much longer than I have ever experienced in the US. This disorganization extended to the bar where they could not take a credit card and where once again they had to disappear to some secret sanctuary to obtain change. Strange.

The kettle had to be moved to the floor to reach the power point. One of the bedside lights wasn't working. The en-suite shower room was also extremely small and was falling apart in places (e.g. the board under the shower had fallen off). Be wary of booking a room in the "Annex" part of the hotel, it is basically a converted house and they've tried to squeeze in far too many rooms.

I asked for the manager in the morning, however, I was blown off by the front desk person and he just gave me a general business card so I could call later in the day.
