I really love this branch. Everyone is always so welcoming and helpful. I've been banking with Travis for 5+ years and this branch is my home branch and most of the tellers and bankers know me and my family by name. Travis Credit Union is by far the worst credit union! I have had the worse banking experience in all my years of doing business! Their lack of customer service - Compassion & common courtesy for their customers is appalling. Beyond RUDE is the only word I can think of without cussing! I actually prefer this branch over the Benicia branch. The employees are generally happy to see you and willing to help you with whatever need you may have. One employee in particular, Kevin, is awesome! My husband and I have had the pleasure of sitting down with him on a few occasions to process a car loan, credit card application, etc. He is great! Every time I have gone in this Travis credit union it is a problem with transacting business. I notice that if you are Philippines decent or non white, I have been told it is always an issue. Yesterday, I had gone in the Vallejo location to cash a money that I obtain from Wells Fargo in So. Cal. So I did not have to travel with a certain amount on cash. Travis wanted to put a hold, I repeat a hold on another banks certified cashiers check for 5 days that I obtain on Saturday. This is my bank and I was told, not because it wasn't a legitimate and certified and confirm cashiers c heck that they wouldn't cash it, but because I hadn't cashed a cashier check over $500.00 beforeThat was the most asinine excuse without saying we don't trust your certified cashiers check because you are black. I went to Wells Fargo, absolutely no questions asked, confirmed cashier check and cashed. I got the cashier check for my safety and Travis Credit Union would not honor the certified cashiers check and wanted to hold it five days because of my race. Many things haven't changed,. I am going to make sure every friend that I know and community members know what happen and don't bank with Travis. read more

Travis Credit Union Vallejo's staff go out of their way to meet all our savings, checking, and loan needs. The people are excellent and wait times are reasonable. Only the nearby parking congestion and limits on cash withdrawals rate only the four stars. If you ant to buy an expensive item from Craig's List and pay cash, best to make arrangements for the large withdrawal ahead of time. The security guards are friendly, but effective in watching over the doors. read more

My sister and nephew both became members TCU ,and were pleased with the service from the Hercules/Pinole area branch. I have never been there,but maybe I should have,but I live closer to a 707 branches , I wanted to refinance and did a phone application with a nice young woman who after submitting my application told me someone would call the next day at a certain time,I specifically asked her to make a note I will be in a medical appt. at that time and to have her TCU colleague call me after the specified time she gave. The next day comes and sure enough I get a call while at my medical appt. and the guy asked me if I have time to go over some things with him,I asked if he saw the notation on my file that I made for contact time? He said that he did see it and asked if I could call TCU back at a later time, to me that was disrespectful and no regard to my request ,he never did call back at the requested time forcing me to do a online refinance application. At this point I don't have a star for you TCU but I had give 1 in order to post ,But I don't think they really care. I've been with Travis credit union for years. I always go to the Fairfield one because I live in the area. However, I happen to be in Vallejo at the time. Worse customer service experience, went to the front desk because I wanted to apply for a loan. the lady who wasn't even on the phone or anything, just pointed to a please wait sign no "hi how are you doing" or "I'll be with you in just a moment" the teller was friendly but the representative lady , terrible. Once again the most horrible business and customer service ever!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANYONE READING THIS **DO NOT EVER GET ANY TYPE OF LOAN FROM THIS FINANCIAL INSTITUTION!!** Today I was inquiring how much I owe on my auto loan since I am late on my car payment. The representative that I spoke with said "I'm sorry but it's Saturday, the department you need to speak to is not open today and I do not know any information on your account." I asked the representative I spoke with to please note the account that I am attempting to bring in a payment and that because the loan dept was closed I would not be able to pay or get information and that she did not and could not provide me any other information. Her response to me was "Well it's Saturday, and it's closed you will have to do it Monday". Here's my problem with that..... I work Monday through Friday, Saturday morning is when I normally go to the bank and run errands. Now, If I go to another financial institution they not only are open but offer a range of services on SATURDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have real knowledgeable staff on SATURDAYS!!!!!!!!! The staff at other institutions do not make their customers feel like "oh well you are on your own, or I don't know and the department that knows isn't here so no one can help you sorry bye" what kind of business are you guys running, what kind of customer service is that??!! Because they decided to make changes on my account without even asking or notifying me before hand has caused me to not get my paycheck for almost a month because for some reason they thought they could be in control of everything. It's really sad that during this time with COVID-19 affecting our lives I never thought that my bank would be the biggest headache! I had this account for about eight years or more at Travis credit Union, and this location specifically has ruined everything! The worst bank I've ever had in my whole life! They did nothing to fix it! They said they tried to contact me and I told them they didn't, and then they responded oh it's been really busy because of COVID-19 so we're really behind. I can't say enough good things about these folks. Always nice, friendly. They treat you like a human. They have a lot of good offers and services. Their technology has kept pace with the times, and it very easy to get you business done with them. The Vallejo branch is where I bank, and they are always amazing. I walked in with bad interest rates on two credit cards elsewhere, and walked out with both balances transferred to Travis at a better rate, locked in for life, lower than any bank would charge. So amazing. Do business with these folks any time you can. They make it easy and kind. They will help you out. Ask for "May" in Vallejo. She's great! read more

This creepy guy came up behind me while I was at the teller trying to exchange some 20's I got out of their atm for 100's and it turns out he was an employee there. It's very disturbing that this rude person thinks it's ok to come up behind someone and start bothering them when their in the middle of a transaction. They should have gone behind the glass next to the teller if they were an employee, or at least wore a name tag or identify themselves as an employee if they were offering assistance. I thought the guy was very rude and intimidating and he made me feel not only uncomfortable but unsafe, then he started to really bother me and give me a hard time because I was merely questioning the teller as to why it needed to take several minutes asking me stupid questions I've already answered several times plus asked her to not talk so loud about as to if I wanted 100 dollar bills or 1 dollar bills. She was speaking so everyone in the bank could hear and that's just poor banking practice and that man (who's supposedly the manager there, even though his business card says he's a financial person from the Fairfield branch after examining it) kept laughing and mocking me merely because I wanted to not be around his crazy fool self. If that guy is their branch manager, I feel very sorry for the employees and customers there because he is a very disturbed individual, and quite scary. Needless to say, I'm looking for a new bank to do all my personal and business transacting with right now. read more

Folks... just a warning.. I took my father to this Credit Union to set up a trust account and since my father went into a nursing home, it's been a nightmare trying to get money transferred out of my father's trust account into the trust checking to pay his nursing home bills and medical bills. I am the financial and medical power of attorney and successor trustee and they are making it impossible and making unnecessary lawyer bills which are not helping either. In my opinion go with an instituion you know and trust and think twice before using these guys for a trust account! Good luck! read more

Horrible customer service! I was given the wrong information about some documents I needed and instead of getting an apology the teller that assisted me told her manager she never told me "that". I love my bank! The only reason I opened an account here was because at the time I was 15 with no car and it was within walking distance from my home, but I am so glad I did. This has been my bank for 8 years now, and I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. I think it was Brittany who helped me open my credit card and she was very nice and helpful. Even when I've had problems, they're a quick phone call away and are prompt and have been able to help me every time. Travis CU is wonderful, I cannot recommend them enough! read more
