We were told that Travis Jewelers was the place to go; and we did! This family run jewelry store hit all the marks. We were looking to build a custom ring - using a very sentimental diamond, which we had made from a great organization called Life Gem. The diamond was made from the ashes of our beloved Tobey - our furry son. One in a million, and Travis Jewelers made a ring for us, that is so unique and so very beautiful it brings tears to our eyes. A brilliant yellow diamond, surrounded on either side by two smaller white diamonds, symbolic of the hugs we would give our Tobey every day. "Family Bonding Time" is engraved in the yellow diamond, held in place on the ring by four little cats paws. This wave patterned multi-stone ring is so unique, and breathtaking - pictures do not do it justice. Let's talk about service - from the initial phone call, to the final fitting - has been nothing short of impeccable. Caring attitudes demonstrated by each family and team member encountered. Active listening skills, and attention to detail second to none. Roberto gave excellent advice and ideas, his years of craftsmanship were evident in his thoughts about our ideas, and the previous examples of custom work, as well as his initial drafts. The final product exceeded our expectations - to which we had set the bar very high. Kelly, was so kind, and together, they have assembled a business that models the graciousness and spirit of what an incredible family business (and indeed - all businesses) should exemplify. Derek - an incredibly talented young man, designed the ring using AutoCad, so we could make the final decision. Not only did the owner tell me I couldn't afford her jewelry by saying "why don't you save up some money for this necklace" her and her husband went on to tell me the pendent I bought recently (not from them) was going to tarnish, very untrue since my boyfriends hasn't tarnished in the past year he's had his. Nor has his chain (that also wasn't theirs) that he's worn on the boat and ect for the past 4 years. They sold me a fake chain (said it was real) that tarnished before I took it out of the box later. Saying "all silver does this when you wear it for a while". Including wedding rings. Either this family has no idea what they are doing or all of their jewelry is fake and they don't know what real is. I believe it's all fake. Will never step foot in that store again. read more

Stopped in as I was out that way to get a battery put in my watch. Mind you I have over 50 watches so I know how much it should be for a battery install that takes minutes. Woman brought it back and said it would be $25.00 and then went on to complain how much their rent was for the building and how that is passed on to the customer. Never had I paid more than $15.00 for a battery and was quite appalled at the attitude. A couple weeks ago I took 7 watches to Fossil (they charge $10) and the manager only charged me for one. I will never return to this store as I have been to other jewelers on Del Prado that do it for $10 also. read more

Had a battery installed in my watch went in the pool 2 days later it filled with water because the back was installed incorrectly So I Took it back they said that they are not watch repair people but jewelers and I should have insurance and they could do nothing for me guess they have the 5 min / 5 foot warranty which ever comes first don't waste your money read more

It was an amazing place! I cannot stress enough about how trust worthy this family! I am so impressed my husband had his ring moved up a couple sizes and they wanted us to be informed of what our diamond looked like exactly and it's identifying marks so they could not switch it out. But what really amazed me is that they produce their own jewelry in the store using a some really complex computer based machinery, and a lot of hand craftsmanship.
