I am very disappointed with the way this property management handled my lease and move-out process…read more My lease officially ended on August 26, but since I was going out of town, I went into the office and asked if I could move out 4 days earlier with a prorated rate. I specifically spoke with Kreasna, who confirmed by email that I could move out earlier and that they would prorate the rent. Based on that agreement, I moved out. Afterward, they suddenly sent me an invoice charging me for the remaining 4 days, claiming the lease technically ended on the 26th. If that was the case, why agree and send me a prorated rate in writing? It feels dishonest. When I called the community manager Anna to clarify, she was extremely rude -- cutting me off repeatedly, refusing to listen, and just blaming the lease contract for nearly an hour. She even said that she never encountered this kind of things, but I saw someone left the similar concerns and situation on the reviews. On top of that, there was no proper move-out checklist or inspection. I cleaned my apartment thoroughly, but they still charged me for "cleaning fees" and shockingly billed nearly $900 to replace carpet due to a small cranberry stain. I called multiple carpet companies who confirmed it's an easy food stain to remove -- replacing the entire carpet is unreasonable. Altogether, they charged me almost $2,000 after I had already moved out. When I raised concerns, responses were delayed, inconsistent, and unhelpful. At one point, they even threatened to send the charges to collections if I didn't pay by October 5. Different staff members kept jumping into the conversation, forcing me to repeat myself 5 times, with no resolution. Another issue: loyalty means nothing here. I had lived there for months and considered extending, but existing tenants are charged significantly higher rates than new tenants. I even asked to move into a cheaper unit I saw listed online, but was told it was "already rented out." At that point, I decided to move elsewhere. Overall, this experience feels unprofessional, misleading, and unfair. I hope the property owner sees this review and takes action, because tenants deserve transparency and respect -- not to be misled, overcharged, and treated poorly.

It was a last minute/last resort kind of thing. I had never rented from a place that only allowed a 6 month lease to be signed. I do not know if they were trying to see if I could afford the rent or not or if that was their actual policy. I was 100% grateful though. The move in process was fast, the remodeled unit I had was nice, and the maintenance guy was always responsive, but here is why I would not recommend moving here. I did not really deal with the leasing agents much and when I did they responded. I remember the person I told I would not be renewing the lease smack her lips and I thought that was hilarious! I paid right at $2k a month to live here with no amenities. That's $2k out of my pocket with no assistance of any kind. I do not know if this place is income based, (it definitely looks that way), but not worth 2000 bucks a month. There were issues with the kitchen sink leaking upon move in, they had contractors come out multiple times to try to fix it, and they eventually got it to stop leaking. While one of the contractors were there... he picked up my stud finder and asked if it was his because he had one just like it. My response was if he'd heard anything fall from his toolbox, he said no, and I told him it was mine. Who walks through someone else's home picking up things that do not belong to them?! Beyond unprofessional. The female who came into the unit with the contractors left energy drink cans in my bathroom and used my paper towels as if she was at her house without asking. Absolutely mind boggling! Issues with package delivery. I stayed filing BBB complaints with FedEx and UPS for leaving my items in the mailroom instead of bringing to my front door to the apartment listed on the address. The trash build up was horrendous! People throwing trash on the ground around the dumpster, having to squeeze in and out of my car when attempting to park on a hill and the first floor unit was down three flights of stairs. Look before you lease. I did not and took a loss. Days before I moved out the kitchen sink flooded in the middle of the night. Maintenance responded, had a plumber come, brought in big fans, but if my items were not already packed up they would have been ruined. I was so glad to leave. I really did not have any interaction with the neighbors except someone barking at me a couple times as I got out of my car. I'm not a dog so I never turned around. There was a weirdo who felt it was appropriate to double park his raggedy truck in the guest parking area which was very frustrating. When the neighbor across from me saw me moving out they told me they had a mold issue and was not able to be let out of their lease which sucked. I also caught neighbors allowing their animals to relieve themselves near my patio and not pick it up. Very frustrating. Overall... this part of Everett is the ghetto. Crime ridden. Stayed hearing police sirens. Something happening on Evergreen Way everyday. Two pros: There is a grocery store/ shopping center within walking distance and if you need to catch the bus for any reason a stop is close by.

Rex and everyone else in the office…read morestaff has been so helpful and kind helping us with our applications, questions, and everything involved in the move-in process. The community overall is extremely modern, clean, and well kept inside and out. The shared community spaces are beautiful: social areas, kitchen, fitness center, game room, heated outdoor pool, a really nice outdoor seating area with fire pits and grills. (Not naming everything but those are highlights that have stood out to me so far). Parking is challenging after 5 ish when most people start arriving home from work. Completely typical for this area. Tivalli addresses it pretty well and also has overflow parking, which is really helpful. I also appreciate that they have night patrol. Parking isn't too much of an issue for me as I'm walking the short distance back and forth to Ash Way Park & Ride for my bus commute to work downtown Seattle. I've heard the P&R parking fills up pretty early in the morning, so the short walking distance was a big appeal for me in moving here. I'm most happy with how each individual building is set up, and the apartment itself. Each building has secure fob entry, and stepping inside the building it's so nice and clean. Our apartment was super clean at move-in. We have a street facing apartment, and for me street noise isn't an issue; I love it because my dog is pretty happy sitting and watching the cars and people go by. (See pic.) The windows are double pane and do a good job blocking noise anyway. Lastly, I love how dog-friendly it is here. I've already chatted with several neighbors with dogs, and the little fenced in dog area is so nice. The residents here seem to take pride in the community and pick up after their dogs. The office staff was so sweet with my dog, inviting me to stop in with her every day for treats and pets. So there's my novel, but I'm overall just really happy and secure with everything here, and since it's the 4th apartments I've lived in in the Seattle area, it's easily the nicest and feels the most like a real community with a good standard for living.

This complex positions itself as a "luxury/premium" community, but it's completely unsafe and terribly managed. 1. Constant Crime & Zero Help from Management: Break-ins are a regular occurrence here--windows are smashed nearly every week. Just a few days ago, my work truck was broken into, and over $10,000 worth of my tools were stolen. When I reached out to the management office for help and requested camera footage for the police, they dragged their feet, made endless excuses, and refused to cooperate with law enforcement. It honestly feels like they are protecting the criminals rather than their paying residents. 2. Secondhand Marijuana Smoke & Health Hazards: They market this as a "smoke-free" property, but that is a complete lie. The hallways constantly stink of heavy marijuana smoke. I have reported this issue multiple times because the smoke leaks into our apartment and makes it impossible to breathe. I literally have to load my 4-month-old baby boy into the car in the middle of the night and drive to a park just so he doesn't have to breathe in illegal smoke. Management does absolute ZERO to enforce their own rules. 3. Parking Disaster: Parking is a complete nightmare. There are easily twice as many apartments as there are available parking spots. Finding a place to park after work is nearly impossible. This place is a total scam. They take your money, ignore safety, ignore health violations, and offer zero support when you become a victim of a crime on their property. I strongly advise everyone to avoid Tivoli Apartments.
