I had the pleasure of watching the Treasure Valley Children's Theater's presentation at the Bown Crossing Library. The actors, the set, the costumes, the play were amazing. Both kids and adults had a great time. read more

History

Established in 2012.

We believe theater arts provide experiences that shape healthy, active, intelligent, empathetic and understanding members of a community. Treasure Valley Children's Theater (TVCT) strives to be part of a healthy, growing community by producing quality theater arts experiences for youth. Through TVCT programs, young people experience theater arts in three areas: Observation (see), Participation (play), and Performance (perform). *see. TVCT produces theatrical performances appropriate for young audiences. *play. TVCT offers performance-based workshops and training experiences for youth taught by experienced artist educators. *perform. TVCT provides students the opportunity to develop performances suitable for their age-group and level of experience. Performances will be presented to the public after sufficient rehearsal and preparation time. It is the belief of TVCT that well-prepared performances provide better training for the young actor, and are more enjoyable for the audience.

Meet the Manager: Autumn K.

Autumn Kersey, M. Ed. Curriculum & Instruction Executive Director & Founder Autumn has performed on stages in Idaho, Utah and Florida since age 4. Founder of the Boise Little Theater and Boise Parks & Recreation Youth Summer Theater Program, Autumn has been working with young actors for the past 15 years and finds no greater joy in life than the imagination of a child. As a young performer herself, Autumn has personally benefitted from the incredible gifts the theater arts can offer a young person: confidence, creativity, goal setting, working with others, academic and intellectual benefit, ambition, and the understanding that through hard work, and a lot of love, you really can do anything!
