The inside is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and the service was warm and genuinely friendly from the moment we walked in. One thing to note for travelers: our GPS told us we had arrived about a block too early. If that happens to you, just keep going to the next stoplight. The restaurant will be on your right. Now for the food...it was outstanding! My husband ordered the pancakes, bacon, and eggs, and he said they were the best pancakes he's ever had. I had the veggie omelet with hash browns, and they were absolutely incredible. Without a doubt, they were the best veggie omelet and the best hash browns I've ever eaten. That was me when I found myself rolling through Crawford, Nebraska and saw the sign for C's Drive in. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised with my overall experience here. The couple who owns and operates the place are exceptionally friendly and are doing classic grease-pit burgers/fries/milkshakes etc but with a notably personal touch. I spent some time talking to them as the place wasn't busy when I arrived, and I can tell you that they are working hard and paying close attention to the food that they're serving. No cut corners, just a couple of people who understand the value of serving good food as a way to make a restaurant succeed. They are passionate. I learned about the way they source the curds for their cheese curds and how they batter and fry them to perfection. I learned about the quality of their beef for the burger patties and how they tried a few combinations before deciding on what they use, (which is delicious), I learned about broasted chicken which is a way that chicken is prepared that leads to a fantastic outcome, (think fried chicken, but more crispy, never dry and loaded with juices). I feel like I can say with confidence that if you stop here and place an order, that the person preparing it will be taking their time and paying attention in order to serve you something that they can be proud of. Classic menu, exceptional execution. Don't second guess it. I had a double bacon cheeseburger, hand cut curly fries and the cheese curds because they sounded so appealing. Would order it all again. Still thinking about those cheese curds every day. All in all this is place is a great example of how good simple things can be when the people behind them show up and care about what they're doing. My 1st time (yea I went twice in one day) my husband and I ordered iced coffees. They grind their coffee beans fresh on the spot. It was delicious!!! We went back a 2nd time and I got an iced Americano also deeellliiicccoouuuss. My daughter ordered and iced chai latte and it was creamy and tasty! This place beats Starbucks by far. Now let me tell you about our sweetest barista, her name is Frankie and she puts her passion in her drinks you definitely taste the quality. They also have lunch specials on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They post on facebook what the menu item will be. If you live in Alliance or just passing through be sure to stop in.
