My travel got the patty melt and it also was amazing she said. Our waitress with the absolute sweetest gal and chatted with us about some of our other not as wonderful experiences traveling together. I also got crème brûlée. Who knew a small town place with have crème brûlée!! It was torched to perfection on the top. The sweet cream was the perfect smooth consistency to melt in your mouth. What a wonderful find in Alliance! This restaurant was a highlight of our road trip. The inside is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and the service was warm and genuinely friendly from the moment we walked in. One thing to note for travelers: our GPS told us we had arrived about a block too early. If that happens to you, just keep going to the next stoplight. The restaurant will be on your right. Now for the food...it was outstanding! My husband ordered the pancakes, bacon, and eggs, and he said they were the best pancakes he's ever had. I had the veggie omelet with hash browns, and they were absolutely incredible. Without a doubt, they were the best veggie omelet and the best hash browns I've ever eaten. We travel quite a bit and love discovering locally owned restaurants, and this one is a true gem. If we're ever back in Alliance, we'll definitely stop here again. Five stars all the way! read more

Ken & Dale's is a family dining experience with tvs and a bar. Our server was pleasant and diligent- especially with our big party. I ordered the pork chops and my sister got the broasted chicken dinner... this way we could split. Each came with two sides so we each got a baked potato and salad. The side salad was good with the house dressing- similar to French. While my sister's baked potato was good, mine wasn't cooked through. Another sister was able to get a loaded potato which, when seeing it, those of us at our end of the table were bummed we didn't know that was an option. The pork chops were so thin, they placed pieces of toast between them to make them appear taller. They were tender but also flavorless. The broasted chicken was actually fried. The flavor was great though. My other family members enjoyed their food. And again the service was great so I'm giving it 4/5. read more

After visiting Carhenge, stopped midday around 3pm for lunch. Pepperoni Pizza and chicken with broccoli calzone. Crust was very tasty and good toppings/fillings too. Not very busy and food came out with only a little bit of a wait. read more

So if you find yourself in Alliance Nebraska visiting Carhenge and need to grab a bite, this is by far the best place to eat in town. True, the service can be hit or miss, but the quality of the food is consistent. I've eaten here many times so can vouch for the following: If you want to splurge go for the rib eye steak, Nebraska beef is famous and this steak is delicious. For sides you can get soup or salad potatoes and vegetables (mushrooms go well with the steak) Breakfast specials have a 2-2-2 special with 2 bacon sausage and eggs plus pancakes. Lunch and dinner favorites are broasted chicken and French dip sandwich. Other local specialties are a chicken fried streak or a roast beef sandwich. Tip- if you have time check out the Knight Museum close by. One of the best museums in the state and you can walk off all those calories read more

Cheeseburger & Fish Sandwich...$40...Fish Sandwich was freezer burnt and rancid tasting..I don't know how long it was in the freezer, but the Health Inspector has obviously skipped this place more than once. Wife took one bite and just about yacked on her plate...Waitress wouldn't even smell the sandwich...It was literally disgusting. Cheeseburger was undercooked & served cold. (the cheese wasn't even melted) Shredded wilted lettuce, wax flavored tomato, onions were at least a week old, the pickle slice was chewy and the Bacon was tough...How do you get tough bacon? I've been going to this Restaurant since it was downtown in the old Elk's Club Basement, (30+ years), and this was seriously some of the WORST FOOD I"VE EVER PAID MONEY FOR..Waitress stood at the front counter complaining that the food quality wasn't "their fault" so She should get tipped anyway..In front of Customers...WTAF?...Owner was hiding in the kitchen and wouldn't come out of it...This Dump needs to go out of business. Since Ken & Dale sold this place to the present owner, it has only gotten worse...There's ONE PLACE left in this town to get anything resembling comfort food and it sucks...C'mon Perkins, Country Kitchen, Denny's even a better Mom & Pop....HELP US...Gods of Restaurants, PLEASE SAVE US. read more

The food came out so quickly, and it was sooooo good. The 1/2 broasted chicken fed us both and the mashed potatoes are like we make at home. It was a perfect stop. Best Turkey Club I have ever had in my very long life. The fries were good too, but the sandwich was to rave about. I went back the next morning for breakfast and had a very nice omlette, I highly recommend this place when you are in town visiting Carhenge. This restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside, it's really nice and clean. The menu selection is great- from salads to Italian to steak- and there's an extensive wine/beer list as well. I ate the Southwestern Cobb Salad and it was delicious. Veggies were very fresh. Started with my little dinner salad with my blue cheese dressing. Very good. The service was so nice !! We shared the soup and the patty melt. Fresh meat and grilled perfectly. Husband and I randomly stopped thanks to the Yelp app. We're traveling to Valentine, NE and got hungry and needed gas anyways so we found a place to eat. Cool, little place! Good menu, full bar, clean bathrooms, and a cool bluesy feel to the decor. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. We chatted with her for a few minutes about traveling through NE. Wish I remembered her name. I got a turkey croissant and friend mac n' cheese. It was AWESOME! I rarely finish my whole plate, but I did this afternoon. Husband did eat a little of my mac. He got a club and regular fries. The only thing he said he would have liked a little different was the fries. They could have been cooked maybe 20-30sec more. Some were a little flimsy but after putting some seasoning on them, they were good. This place has some of the best ranch I've ever had. Food came SO quick and was exact to our order. Price wasn't bad either. Hubs got a beer and I just had water, and our bill was under $30. If I ever come through Alliance again I'll probably stop here because I know I'll get a good meal. read more

We stopped here for lunch. Between us we had the house smoked brisket (absolutely incredible!), and fried chicken baskets. All of the food was very hot and fresh, and nicely seasoned.
