For a Antique Searcher, this is a five plus. He has everything. Really!! Look Here first.. We bought here and will go back tomorrow for more. Jeff , the owner, knows where everything is, and he prices it right. If I listed what I saw, it would be a page. Jeff, the owner (and super nice guy) knows where everything is amongst the massive amount of stuff he has accumulated. We had to stop here on our way to Acadia after noticing the big red barn with all his stuff outside. Stop here to just look, or buy, or just go down memory lane. read more

Called owner on a sunny wintery day and made an appointment to see the contents of outside and inside of barn. Great paradise for pickers. You can spend 5 minutes in here ; not a die heart picker or like us 1 hr. Ok. And will have to come back for the street / route signs bc they're all frozen stuck In snow and ice . You can find an array of collectible and vintage stuff. You need to have an idea of repurposing these items then you can see the new life in them. Great place great price and awesome owner. read more

This is a huge antique warehouse in Maine only open in the summer times, May-October. There is so much stuff here, from old skis, to old license plates and literally thousands of items from the last one hundred years. It's as if the owners were time travelers (or hoarders) who literally have amassed and collected every little thing of the past century and have placed it up for sale. The sale takes place inside and outside and it's such a massive sight, that you're compelled to stop here when you're transiting through as if you just came across the most massive garage sale in all of human story. My wife was drawn in by some of the road signs they had for sale. We ended up buying some license plates for our collection to put on our wall. I do think the price for these things was a little egregious -- $12.99 for an old license plate? While some are $4.99 (The Maine was), the other states were sold for a premium and I just don't think it was worth it. Despite that, I do think it's a neat place to shop around at and perhaps you could find a good bargain on some things or try bartering. Good luck! read more

Treasures and Trash isn't open for the season, yet....but we contacted the owner and he met us at the shop so we could peruse his inventory for a creative project we are thinking about. We didn't find anything on this trip that sparked our imagination, but had a great hour just pouring over everything both inside and out. If you're in Searsport you need to make the stop! We love this place, visit a few times a year! And usually come out with things we never knew we needed! read more

We were on vacation in Rockland, Maine in early April 2014. Through word of mouth we were told this place up in Searsport might have some old keys. We were given a phone number and told the place was still closed for the winter. We called and left a message and received a call back the next day. We made the drive up to Searsport and met the owner there. He opened the place up just for us bright eyed Texans to enjoy. We spent a couple of hours there and bought lots of keys and so much other stuff we had to ship it home. Fond memories of a great place and a very nice man. read more

Treasures and Trash Barn - April 2014 - Still closed for Winter - Antiques Near Me - Searsport, Maine

You need to walk through a couple times. There is a lot to see, but watch your head. The ceiling is low and stuff is everywhere.

We were driving from Rockland up to Bar Harbor, and as we drove along we passed this Barn. The yard was full of everything you can imagine - bathtubs, buoys, car parts - all sorts of random stuff. I was like "pull over!" and we made a u-turn and headed back. Parked on the side of the street and then we headed in! When we finally found each other 20-30 minutes later, my teenage son had found some John Wayne movie posters, my teen daughter had taken tons of photos of old door hinges, door knobs, license plates and more that she intends to go home and use as ideas for paintings, and I found a glass fishing net buoy. When we went inside to pay, the buoy had been sitting on a round, rusty, probably car headlight-type ring to keep it from rolling away. When paying, they wanted to charge me for the ring separately, but after a little haggling they threw it in as part of the deal which I appreciated. We all felt like we had hit the motherlode here - so sad we had to leave and won't have a chance to come back in the near future! read more
