I've been visiting the H&WC for about 6 years and I try to go at least 2-3 times throughout the year - only because I read that it's bad to get alignments every month. Every visit is for a tune-up which includes a Swedish hands-on massage, acupuncture, cupping, heat therapy and an alignment. You walk in as tight and wound-up as possible and come out walking on clouds. Back in March I went on a cruise and did acupuncture. It all but made the sciatic pain disappear (about 90%). When I returned I mentioned it to someone at work and found out that my insurance covers acupuncture as long as I go to an in network facility. I went to one and was unhappy with it. I then found this place. Florida Complete Wellness is located in the Publix shopping center on Volunteer Road. The door is a little hidden, but parking is easy. Pros: both drs are amazing! The rooms are clean and the doctors are friendly and caring. They have similar styles, so I feel comfortable seeing either one. This makes it easy to fit into my crazy schedule. They have amazing hours and I have been able to schedule on Saturday and Sunday. They know my benefit and in addition to the acupuncture, I am able to also get a massage as well (if I schedule same time). The massage therapist is also amazing and super friendly. Being able to walk and sit makes it all worth having to talk myself into needles (yes, I am super needle phobic). Cons: ZERO! This place ROCKS!

The clinic itself is very warm and inviting. Upon entering the front door, the outside seems to melt away, naturally. I waited for my services for in their lobby area happily as I was a bit earlier than expected. The waiting area is so zen, I felt very at ease. Visited this location to accompany my mother for her visit. To preface my comment, I was visiting…read morefrom out of state (CA). The doctor kept us waiting for 45 minutes and then entered the room to request the reason for my mom's visit (one would think he knew this answer already). He was told it was to review my mother's medications to determine what she should no longer need to take. He then threw out a few bottles. I was there to ask questions as to my mother's state of health since I was visiting. He asked where I was from, I said I was visiting from LA. Big mistake- started talking politics which is beyond unprofessional and truly uncalled for. He spent maybe 10 minutes with my mother, did not provide any physical exam, handed her husband a script written with a request for in-home care and then we were told the appointment was over and that she was scheduled to return in a month. Who writes a referral on a prescription pad? This confused her husband. To top it off, the referral was never handled. We were called to set up the referral on 11/13. My mother's appointment with the doctor was 10/24. My mother ended up in the hospital on 10/26 due to an infection she got from a wound on her leg. Had she been examined, we might have caught it sooner. I don't recommend this doctor. I live in a big city, his attitude matches it. No empathy. I am adding one star, because he was a referral from her pastor who is a kind man.
