You know when you read some reviews after the fact and think, "Wow, our experience was the opposite of most of these low-star reviews." This is the case... Our neighbors, who are highly intelligent scientists, researched companies to take down their trees. They wanted a fair price and a company with insurance. They had several companies come and give estimates and picked Tree Solutions of Texas. While the company was working on the neighbor's trees, I inquired about a quote on removing our trees. (At this point I heard a different neighbor say they were quoted $6k to take down their 2 trees, so I was nervous how much Tree Solutions would charge.) Our estimate was $1000*! This included tree removal, haul away of the main trees and stump grinding. *We opted to NOT pay an extra $250 for the mulch removal. (In hindsight... it was about 70+ garbage bags of mulch that weighed about 50lbs+ each... yowza.) When we officially accepted the offer, we only had to wait a day or so for the company to come out and take the trees down!!! No waiting weeks on end! The crew that came to take down their trees were friendly, professional and VERY efficient! They had the trees down in no time with NO damage to our property. Later that day, a gentleman came to grind the stumps and surface roots. He was so wonderful and helpful, adding that if we find any additional roots, they would gladly come back out to grind some more. Well, fast forward and we did find some more areas that needed work and they were out the next day to grind some more at no extra charge! Great job from start to finish!! Sketchy business practices, beware of Tree Solutions of Texas!! We hired them for removal of a sycamore tree with grinding of the stump from our backyard (plus two baby trees) & assumed the job was complete. The circular mound of cuttings and dirt was left as expected and we put our trampoline over it for summer. Then we go to level the ground to lay down sod and realize WOW they left huge central roots and all were at or just below surface level. To clarify, these were all within the circle they dug up & we did not expect all underground roots from the backyard removed. We had to spend hours trying to hack the superficial roots so we could put down the dirt and sod on top. It delayed our whole project and felt totally misled by the company. I messaged them and sent photos and they wrote a snappy email saying they'd come in a few days after the holiday as a major courtesy to us. By then all the sod would die so we had to do our best and spend hours completing that they should have done initially especially for $1461. What a racket. So don't hire this company and if you do, be ready to micromanage and triple check the work read more

UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding my experience, I was contacted directly by the owner of the company. To his credit, he acknowledged the situation and apologized for his employee's unprofessional behavior. He informed me that the employee in question has been demoted as a result of the incident. The owner offered a refund, complimentary services to help my tree grow faster, and additional tree care. I only wanted a refund. The owner agreed and refunded the entire amount. read more

We had one tree that needed to come down because it was splitting and was a hazard to our neighbor and our houses.... and a few more trees that needed trimming so we called a few places with great reviews. Most never replied back and the 2 we asked for a quote had a really wide range in the quote. We hired the one with the better price.....Tree Solutions of Texas. They came out and did the whole job in under 4 hours. That was amazing! Tree down, all others trimmed and all the tree debris gone. The aerial acrobat of the three climbed everything with a safety harness, lineman's spikes and a few ropes. The two guys on the ground did a great job manning the ropes that kept everything away from the tree guy and safely on the ground. The other arborist said it would take 5 to 6 days and a lot more money. Glad we found Tree Solutions and won't hesitate to call them again. read more

Not happy with the experience, in fact I am angry. I had several different quotes. Tree solutions was the highest, several thousand dollars higher, but I went with them because of the ratings on their website, the equipment they used and the speed. But the guy in charge was very rude, they drug large limbs, breaking trim on my house, damaging air-conditioning units, and a very large limb fell on the house. (no damage, but should not have happened). Left saw dust on the roof, left very large holes in the yard from 20" diameter logs falling on the ground. Drove a forklift all over the yard, leaving large ruts. They left plastic water bottles all over the place, and spilled oil on my concrete patio. They removed decorative stones, but did not put back in place, and broke several steppingstones. Moved furniture, but did not put it back. One of the guys went into my tool shed without permission, then left the light on. Oh I could go on, but I do hope you get the picture I am trying to create. I tried to tell them of the things going wrong, but the language barrier...on their part, was so bad, we could not communicate. The guy on the job who was the superintendent could not understand me, and if I mentioned something which was not going correctly, he would get mad, but nothing was done about the problem. They sent a guy out to help me, and he was very nice and told me they would take care of things. Well, they did clean up a little, but left all of the damaged trim and other damaged items, unresolved. This guy did go to bat for me, but wanted to charge me for the things. I want a refund. As I had said, I went with this company, because I thought I would get a much more professional job than the less expensive ones. So, I will never support or use this sorry of an excuse of a company again! Just beware. I want a refund! read more

I've never left a negative review before, but this company absolutely deserves it. At the end of February 2025, I met with a representative from this company at a property that needed some tree trimming. I was impressed by his expertise and professionalism and was looking forward to working with them and seeing the result. I received a quote for $2,650.00, but was advised to wait until the trees foliated to better assess their health--especially the pecan trees. Trusting this advice, I waited until the trees grew leaves which was about 3 months later. Once the trees had foliated, I reached out again, met the same representative, and was prepared to move forward with the job--only to be blindsided by a revised quote of $5,175.00 for the exact same scope of work. That's nearly double the original price. This is a textbook example of a bait-and-switch scam, a fraudulent and unethical tactic used to lure customers in with a low quote, only to massively inflate the cost later. When I confronted the representative, he acknowledged my concerns and said he would speak to his supervisor. I followed up the next day, only to be told that instead of working with me or honoring anything close to the original quote, they increased the price further--to $5,200.00. All quotes except for this last quote, which was verbal, are attached below and on Google Reviews. This company has shown they are not to be trusted. Their practices are misleading and deeply unprofessional. This was to be our first time doing business with them, and they've ensured it will be the last time we give them any consideration. I strongly urge anyone considering any of their services to look elsewhere. Companies that rely on dishonest tactics like these don't deserve your business. read more

This company was hired to remove a few wild trees that had grown up in tight spaces, and to trim 2 crepe myrtle trees. At the time of estimate, we discussed in detail that I wanted the canopy lowered, and no thinning of the trees. I was not home at the time the work was done, and when I got home that afternoon I saw they had cut off many of the lower branches, but not really reduced the height, exactly opposite of what I asked for. The wild trees that they cut down and said they put poison on so they would not grown back did end up growing back a few months later. When I called them, I was told that the trees should not have grown back if the liquid had been put on the stumps. In the end, they refused to take care of the 4 trees that had grown back after they were chopped down and supposedly treated. This is not a professional company. read more

While they made quick work of the tree we needed removed, they had terrible communication and customer service. We specifically talked about our sprinklers ahead of the job, and not one, but TWO people assured us they would not be an issue. They ended up taking 2 days to finish the job because the first crew were not informed that we had a gated yard and brought a grinder too big to fit through the gate. Day 2, one guy showed up solo. He ground up 3 of our sprinkler heads AND our wifi cable, and did not haul off the debris I PAID to have taken out because he was alone and did not have the means to remove it. I contacted the company THREE times and have yet to hear from them. We spent an additional $950 making repairs to the things they damaged because they were careless. Excellent work trimming my trees in the front and back of my house in Cedar Park, TX I recalled needed trees trimmed after the winter storms and Tree Solutions we're working on a big job next door: I asked them to look at my trees for a price quote; they did the quote, their home office approved it and I agreed. This is an extremely disappointing company. I was referred by a neighbor and had to chase them for three weeks to even get a quote...even arranged twice to be around to meet them. After finally getting them onsite, they quoted $350 for a tree trimming, that in my opinion, required one branch to be removed. I hired Tree Solutions of Texas in DFW to prune and trim two trees in my front yard and remove a tree and stump in the backyard. At the time of my estimate, I specifically asked about protection against damages they may cause. They assured me that they would take care of anything that is damaged. After removing the stump, they revealed that they damaged our drip line and said that it was unavoidable. However, two of the three drip lines that were damaged had not been exposed prior to stump removal. This leads me to believe that potentially it could have been avoided. I thought they would take care of the drip lines for free. Instead, they gave me one quote at the time of damages and then doubled it when I contacted them later. They never warned me that the drip lines could be damaged and that I would be responsible to fix them. I asked to speak to the boss or manager, and was not called back. It seems like they did a decent job of tree trimming. If their communication was better, I would consider using them again in the future, but it bothers me when I can't reach the manager to fully explain my concerns. read more
