My mom has been a patient at the Redies Center three times in the last five years. The first time…read morewas for rehab for a hip replacement and it was fantastic. The second time was this past June when she was recovering from a gallbladder episode and that too went well. She had another gallbladder episode in Sept which necessitated the removal of her gallbladder and this time her time at the Redies Center was definitely sub par. We found out after we checked her out this week that they had been giving her an anti-depressant to "stimulate her appetite" which her regular dr then informed us has the unwelcome side effect of making a older person very sleepy. So no wonder once they started giving her that, she was unable to attend physical therapy which then created a scenario in which Medicare would not allow her to stay. She went from being fairly alert one week to being practically comatose when I came the next week. I truly thought she was dying when I saw her condition. Her friends who were visiting daily and keeping an eye on her told me that they were not showering her regularly and there were several episodes where they found her medication lying on the floor. I had asked the Redies to give me regular updates to let me know if there were any issues with her not participating in things and I never got one phone call. Then I find out they are discharging her for lack of progress. Well no wonder she wasn't progressing because she was basically being sedated. If I ever had to get rehab for her again, it would not be there.

As we all know it is not easy to find a good doctor who is competent and informed about current healthcare trends. Dr. Jeffries checks all of these boxes and then some. She has excellent bedside manners, carefully listens to her patients and is kind, methodical and gives consultative style recommendations that are caring and empathetic. She makes you feel warm and cared for and not like a number. The IHA office is a newer building with updated furnishings that are modern and calming. The exam rooms are super clean and designed with good quality furniture and clothing for patients which I appreciate. Other doctor's offices provide those cheap paper gowns for their patients but not this this office, they provide nice cotton gowns that make you feel HUMAN. The only con I have about IHA are the front desk employees and one of the physician assistants (PA) who escorted me to see the doctor. This individual had the personality of a rock. She was not friendly and unprofessional. I was completing my paperwork in the exam room and left briefly to use the restroom before meeting with the doctor. While I was gone the PA took my incomplete paperwork without telling me. I returned to the room in disbelief that I could not find my paperwork. When the PA later stopped by, I asked her if she took my paperwork and she rudely said yes. I explained to her that I was not finished and that she should of let me know that she took it. Similar to doctors bedside manners, PAs need the same standard when dealing with patients. Despite those two cons, overall I am thrilled with my new doctor and look forward to her care during my future visits.

If you have had a really terrible experience with another OB/GYN specialist I do recommend visiting with one of them. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is due to issues with other staff. After being a patient here for a few years I have had an abnormal amount of administrative issues such as: - Being overcharged for visits - Appointments canceled on short notice several times - Being scheduled with doctors that are out of network - Someone forgot to check me in until I asked about the wait time 15-20 minutes later - Appointment billed incorrectly to insurance because of miscommunication during scheduling When something needs to be fixed (like the overpayment) it's not easy to get in touch with someone who can help. I have been told that they'll call back with updates, but generally, I am the one who has to follow up. I can't say if that's typical for all of their patients but this is the only office I have ever had these types of issues with. It makes me dread coming in because I'm bracing for some kind of error that I'm going to have to battle to fix. All of that said, the staff has been kind while these issues were resolved. It's just a huge hurdle to have to jump through in the first place. If you visit make sure you know what your insurance covers, triple-check that the doctors are in-network (the staff isn't reliably knowledgable about this), and be as clear as possible about what you want to schedule. If you do all of that, you hopefully can avoid the experiences I have had.

I had good experiences with this…read moreorganization prior to this, but after my last ultrasound I was left feeling extremely used and violated. Let me start by saying I was probably about 12 weeks pregnant after a very traumatic miscarriage. They knew this. Instead of the normal tech doing the ultrasound, 6 women I had never seen before walked in and 1 by 1, they started practicing on me. I was never once asked for consent to be trained on, and it was clear that they had NEVER done this before. One woman pushed on my stomach so hard for 20+ minutes continuously without letting up pressure even after the other ones told her she could "let up" between photos. These ultrasounds usually take 15-20 minutes tops.... After the 1 hour mark I heard them say "The next girl didn't show, so we can keep going on her", AGAIN without consulting me as to whether this would be okay or not. After over 1.5hrs, with no end in sight, I finally gathered up the courage to say I wanted to leave. I had contractions and bleeding in the days following. I was so scared, I cried for days. The pregnancy pulled through, but as I said, I felt extremely violated and used. They should have asked me if it was okay to train on me first, and given timeframe on how long they would "use" me for. I will also add, if you are looking for an abortion, do not go here. They are an extremely pro-life facility and will try to convince you by any means NOT to have an abortion.
