If ever you spot a pile of innocuous looking bricks in your yard, my advice to you is: Leave them…read more Or be prepared to start digging only to uncover an entire foundation's worth of brick and concrete underground. My husband and I learned that our backyard once housed two structures -- a garage and a greenhouse -- so it felt like there was no end to the crap we kept unearthing. Some of the brick, we were able to salvage and convert into a fire pit structure. But the rest collected in a huge heap. Additionally, decades-old, rusty, and actually decaying barbed wire and chicken wire fencing had to come down from around the property. What resulted was a HUGE load of junk piled up on our property. For, um, a couple of months. Thanks to Jeff, though, we no longer look like hoarders. He and a crew of about 6 pulled in today to load and haul our debris away. They were very thorough, using rakes and shovels to turn the soil and be certain no bits were left. They even pulled a slab of concrete out of the ground that we had missed. All of this for far less than the sample quotes provided on mainstream junk removal websites. AND they hauled our load (filled to the brim) in one trip, whereas other companies will only fill their truck beds a foot or so, when dealing with brick or concrete material. My only caution: be aware that they don't arrive on a set schedule. I know that this type of work may make it difficult to set an appointment, but when that's the case, most companies are at least good about touching base to give you updates on their estimated arrival time. Our price quote, and the actual work, occurred hours later than we'd anticipated; so plan to be at home for half of a work-day!

Help arrived right at the specified time to remove the remaining item from the apartment. Scheduling was easy and the communication was good. I will definitely use this company again if the need arises. Great job.

Because of the high quality of their work and great customer service Mark Swicewood, Cort Tangeman…read moreand the team at Just My Style Landscape Service, Inc. (JMS) just completed a second project for us and they, once again, did a fantastic job. Our project list this time included: 1). Extending the natural stone pathway and steps they did in our backyard last summer. 2). Paver extensions to both sides of our driveway (so we don't step out of a vehicle into pine straw or grass). This required the removal of a large crepe myrtle and removal or moving of some bushes. Because we had a buried downspout pop up drain alongside the driveway JMS offered several options for how to deal with it and keep the water away from the house. We chose having the pop up moved out closer to the curb. 3). Removal of our old concrete sidewalks replacing and widening them with pavers. Additionally, along with the driveway extensions the pavers were also extended out to the curb so we don't have to walk in the grass to check the mailbox. 4). Installing some retaining walls and sandstone loose fit edging installed around all the planting areas. To complicate the work the JMS team had to work around pre-existing irrigation system valve wiring, piping, drip system tubing and sprinkler heads as well as low-voltage lighting fixtures and wiring. They did an outstanding job of rerouting, moving/replacing and/or repairing all the buried pipes, sprinkler heads and wiring and when they were finished everything was as good as new and looked great. Just as before, during the installation, Cort handled some small specific requests and we really appreciate his attention to detail and consistently superior customer service. He even took some photos for us of portions of the install he knew we were especially interested in. Mark Swicewood, Cort Tangeman, and the whole team from JMS were once again exceptional to work with - just as they did on our previous project they answered all our questions, offered expert advice and suggestions, and followed up on even the smallest detail. They coordinated with us about the progress of the work and cleaned up every day before they left. Both times we've worked with JMS we've received top-notch workmanship, excellent attention to even small details, and superb customer service. It is unbelievably hard to find reliable, customer-oriented contractor s who deliver what they promise - Just My Style Landscape Services is a company you can trust. We highly recommend them for any landscaping needs. In fact, we're already thinking about possible ideas for a third project next year.

Our experience with this company was not good. Probably their work is great. But know ahead of time…read morewhat you are paying for. We asked them what the charge was for them to do a design for a front sidewalk. Mark, the owner, said it was $500 for a design plan for the walkway only. I have this on an email, so this was some miscommunication. We set up an appt and mark came to meet us, look at the project. he did not tell us that there was a charge, also for the first initial appt. He mentioned a few vague ideas- you could put your sidewalk here.... it can curve. Ok, it was some ideas. he did not measure or do anything other than talk. He was constantly looking at his watch, as if to signal us, that he was wasting time, and he needed to move on. after about 45 min, Mark said, he needed to collect $125 from me, "for the consultation. " We gave him a check, for $125, but we were amazed, that he did absolutely nothing. No measuring, no working on a plan or an estimate. We called three other companies who all came, measured, gave us their time, and charged nothing for that. I contacted mark, and told him i felt this charge was not earned, because 1) he said nothing about it initially. and 2) he did not really advance the project, or give us anything we could use. He declined returning the $125 fee, because he said, he "spent his time there. ". Thats what was required of any company who gives an estimate, or an initial consultation. I would say, go with someone else. These guys are a bit full of their full of their own importance.
