The Best Doula and Photographer -- Natalie Made My VBAC Dream Come True!…read more I cannot say enough about Natalie -- she was truly the reason my VBAC was such a success. She stayed by my side for over 24 hours, never once losing patience or energy. She guided me through every contraction, changed my position constantly, and did everything possible to help me stay strong and focused. Her calm, knowledgeable presence gave me confidence when I doubted myself, and I'll forever be grateful for her support and expertise. On top of being an incredible doula, Natalie is also an amazing newborn photographer. She came to our home just days after the birth and spent extra time making sure every shot was perfect -- never rushing, always so gentle with our baby. She went above and beyond by giving us additional photos and getting them back to us in only a few days. The images are absolutely stunning and capture this precious time so beautifully. Natalie is one of a kind -- dedicated, compassionate, and unbelievably talented. I can't imagine my birth or these first memories without her. If you're considering a doula or newborn photographer, Natalie is the one you want by your side.

Since you landed here on Natalie's page, you probably 1) don't know if you want or need a doula, or…read more2) you're looking for the right one to support a hospital, home, or birth center birth. I'll try to help with both by sharing our story below. We planned a physiologic birth at a birth center, hoping to avoid a C-section for our first baby. Natalie was tremendously helpful in getting us prepared. When mama went into labor, Natalie was ready to rock, and we felt confident because of the work we'd done together before the big day when contractions started. Eventually, we went to the birth center. But God had a different plan. After a full day of effort and some complications, we ended up transferring to the hospital. The two environments couldn't have been more different, but Natalie was our one constant. She supported us physically, emotionally, and even medically in ways we couldn't have imagined. Natalie impressed me with her clinical awareness. As a former RN, she picked up on things the hospital nurses missed, helped mama with positioning to move the baby down, and kept us both calm and centered through every twist and turn. As the dad, her emotional support is something I truly can't put a dollar value on. I found myself incredibly relieved that she was there throughout the whole journey. After the birth, my partner told me how thankful she was that we had hired Natalie and said, "I don't know how we would have gotten through it all without her." She was truly the angel we needed. A doula is worth it. If you're going to choose one, you should strongly consider Natalie. We believe in her so much that I've given her permission to connect me with anyone who wants to talk to a former client. Just ask her for Ian's info. We're forever grateful for what she did for us, for what she does for other families, and we will 100 percent have her at our bedside for our next baby!!

When looking for a photographer for our wedding, my criteria were that the photographer takes…read morebeautiful shots and that they are reliable. After looking through Brian's impressive portfolio and sitting down with him to talk, we decided to hire him for our wedding and engagement shoot. Brian completely exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Brian is not only very reliable, but he is also extremely dedicated to his work. Brian drove over 90 miles to get to our engagement photo shoot and on the way he stopped at a gas station on the south side of Chicago where he stepped on two nails, which punctured his foot. Although we insisted that we reschedule so he could take care of himself, he still arrived (early, as his style) ready to shoot our session. He carried his equipment on his back on his injured foot for miles around Chicago, and took some of the most breathtaking photos I have ever seen. Brian helped us to feel completely comfortable the entire time. I remember being impressed with how he can walk backwards, get to know us better by carrying on a conversation, assess the lighting of the area around him, all while shooting pictures that made our families cry and that we will treasure forever. We are happier than ever that we chose Brian and his assistant Greg to shoot our wedding on July 13, 2013. On the day of my wedding, I didn't have time to notice all of the details that I previously spent so much time planning. Brian perfectly captured all of these details in his photographs. There were many shots that I would have never thought to ask him to take, but because of his professionalism and experience he provided these pictures for us. Most importantly, Brian captured the moments that happen so quickly.. but that I will remember forever. Because of his talent, I have photos of my mom trying not to cry as I step into my dress, my grandmother giggling with the woman who was doing her make up, my groom's first teary look at me, and so much more. You are a lucky couple if you get to book Brian for your wedding!
