I have to assume that when they received the fax to transfer medical records, they canceled our appointments that were supposed to be next month because I saw them in the portal just 3 days ago and now they're gone, again with no notification. I've had other issues with the location and staff as well, so the canceled appointment and wait were the final straw.

Our son was born 5 days ago and we have felt set up for success through all the clear communication and helpful information. We had a bad scare a few nights ago and the immediate call/text access to a provider was extremely reassuring. They gave helpful advice and set our minds at ease. We had our first visit today and the NP, Erin, was so friendly and knowledgeable. The convenience is truly unmatched and we were able to show her a few things directly in our home that we had questions about. So happy we found Modern Pediatrics :)

We live in Bastrop, a good 55 min away on a good traffic day so we had intentions on looking for a pediatrician closer to home so that if we needed to go quickly we could. By our second appointment we were sold on Dr. Brown. They're staff is friendly and they always do everything they can to help. More recently our daughter has been experiencing reflux after waking up from a nap. Dr. Brown prescribe her an anti reflux scrip but we had minor insurance issues so she gave us a 5 days sample until we could get the insurance corrected. After her first dose she no longer spit up or after waking. Today she prescribed a full scrip and after we went to fill it out insurance DOES NOT PAY FOR IT. Why is it so expensive for the tiniest doses of medicine? Anyway. The pharmacy did not call to inform the doctor...surprise surprise. Is anyone surprised by this? So, at the last minute after waking up from a nap o called Dr. Browns office and April was oh so very helpful with providing ways to get scrips for a reasonable price as I really didn't want to have to try another medicine on our 1 month baby when this one worked. After trying those options and fighting with my pharmacy the suggestions were a no go. Not due to the type of suggestions but due to insurance hiccups, small print and the secondary pharmacy not being able to provide that scrip till Monday. Nevertheless, I called the doctor's office back after hours and Dr. Brown called right away. She did not hesitate to offer more samples until we can find a somular scrip our insurance will cover. Being new parents for the first time, I cannot tell you how important it is to be able to get a doctor who is as open, honest and helpful as Dr. Brown and her staff is, they even assisted us with the car seat today when I had concerns about the head brace thingy to keep her head from bobbing around. She is thorough and proactive with her healthcare approach. She also stays current on the healthcare industry to ensure you get the best care and most current protocols based on ethnicity where relevant. This sets her FAR apart from other physicians in the area. I would drive a million miles to see Dr. Supkay. Setting up appts, request of refills, insurance is all an ease due to the excellent attentional to detail & communication. They also have an amazing patient portal which makes communication with Dr Supkay & her nurse very easy. You can also make refill requests & get lab results from the portal. I absolutely LOVE that Dr Supkay does NOT keep your lab results hostage. As soon as CPL completes them, Dr Supkay allows us to see them. And she follows up to discuss of course. The convenience of CPL being located on site makes any follow up labs easy breezy. Highly recommend Dr Supkay as part of your medical care team!!! An hour later after talking to the doctor 5 minutes I left with no check up or meds. But they tried to schedule me a second appointment so I could get what I came to them the first time for. Called cheating insurance companies and double charging. Now I have to find a real doctor and take another half day and spend my fuel and time to get a decent soctor. I plan on filing a complaint with the state board of health.

I cannot recommend Dr. Van highly enough. I've never felt more comfortable with medical care/advice for my two children than i did with her. High EQ, super high IQ + data driven, and just cares about the wellbeing of the kids she sees. Not going to lie, our first appointment was borderline intimidating -- Dr. Van can sometimes speak fast, and drops a lot of knowledge on you in a very short period of time. But, she is extremely thorough and her standard of care is top notch -- exactly what your children deserve to help them thrive! I now have an even greater appreciation for this as we moved and had to switch providers multiple times. Sadly, I have yet to find someone that I feel is a thorough and knowledgeable as Dr. Van. I see some negative reviews about the office. But frankly, I never really had any issues on that front. and even if I did, I'd still recommend you run to Bee Well.

Dr. Holmes came highly recommended by Kristie W. at AAOBGYN and the pediatrician at St. David's North Austin Hospital. Their front desk, Dahlia, was very helpful in answering my questions, and flexible while I was in the hospital. We weren't sure if we were getting discharged after five or six nights, and Dahlia said it would be alright for me to call her at 8 am if we hadn't been discharged yet to reschedule the appointment for the next day. All of their pediatricians are open to delaying vaccines. I delayed the hepatitis B vaccine at the hospital as my baby was battling jaundice as a preemie. I trust Raquel, the nurse practioner who hails from Southside Chicago. She is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions on vaccines. She explained that the Pediatric RSV antibodies shot is not technically a vaccine per se, even though it's called a vaccine. She showed me the list of ingredients for the RSV antibodies shot which does not contain any preservatives or aluminum so that I felt comfortable giving him the shot one day after discharge. So far we really like Dr. Holmes. He's knowledgeable, kind, and gentle with our baby. He gives great advice to first time parents and isn't rigid on rules and feeding times as long as our baby is gaining weight. Our lactation consultant was giving us rigid rules and stressing us out, where as Raquel and Dr. Holmes put our minds at ease and said to keep doing what we're doing since our baby is gaining weight.
