One dentist's name came up time after time with positive reviews so I gave his office a call and made an appointment to see him. I don't think I am alone in saying that I am petrified of dentists but as soon as I met Dr. Paul I was immediately put at ease by his warm and welcoming personality. The fact that he is from the East Coast (as am I) and graduated from some very good schools in New Jersey didn't hurt either. He quickly assured me that my broken filling wasn't as bad as I had feared and he promptly put in a temporary and we decided to schedule a followup appointment for a new crown - which is made in-house. I figured it wouldn't hurt to visit Summit Dental for their evaluation of what was happening. A co-worker recommended this group and he gave me the impression from his experience that they were honest. I've only been there once, but I can say, so far so good. Cara my dental assistant was very personable and professional, Dr. Marcincin gave me the most thorough dental check up I have ever had in my life. She found the cause of my issue and referred me to Dr. Tony Kardelis in Frisco for a possible root canal, which I already suspected was the issue. She also did some minor grinding down of a filling, which by the way she kept checking in, like my beloved dentist back home, I presume she's a no pain and careful dentist. On my way out, front desk was awesome. I think it was Lyndsey who explained in detail everything my insurance covered, Delta Dental (which was the entire bill) and what I would likely be looking at at the Frisco office and how best to manage what's left of my benefits for this year. Just a few days before the rescheduled appointment, I was told via text I am in fact not in network with insurance! It is such a shame when a great medical practitioner allows the front office to ruin the reputation and dissuade new business coming in through the front door. Good dentistry obviously needs a great dentist, but you cannot ignore the other business needs surrounding the customer experience. While the Vail Valley doesn't have a ton of options, if you are seeking a positive customer experience with the ability to speak to someone on the phone without tremendous frustration, I advise you to seek elsewhere!

Dr. Amedeo was recommended to us and we wish we had found him sooner. He and his entire staff actually make going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. His staff is friendly and efficient, they work diligently with our insurance company to make sure they pay up. Most importantly, the dental work is top notch. My wife was an oral surgeons assistant for 27 years and she says he is the best dentist she has ever been to. That says a lot!
