After doing a lot of searching and asking many questions to just about every local garden center, Arise stood out among the rest. Not only are they fairly priced, but the owner (Rigo) was easy to get a hold of and made sure he provided us with all the plant species we asked for. He also delivered them to us with a 24 to 48 hour turn-around time which was important because we needed time to get the plant order in the ground before the rainy season. Literally all other local gardening centers in Chino, Montclair, Claremont, etc...were either standard or limited in their selection, or severely overpriced. Arise is a local business worth supporting because they are in touch with what other gardening centers are failing to provide do-it-yourself landscapers: great advice, accessibility, and the best prices.

Instead of providing a quote while we were there, we were told one would need to be prepared and emailed later. That seemed unusual, but we left expecting to hear back promptly. During our visit, my wife and I had different impressions of the staff. The wife seemed interested in helping us and earning our business, while her husband came across as disengaged and reluctant throughout the process. Two days later, I finally received a quote for the trees, delivery, and installation. While I thought the pricing was fair, I was disappointed by how long it took just to receive the estimate. Nevertheless, I immediately replied and confirmed that I wanted to move forward with the purchase exactly as quoted. Instead of simply accepting payment and scheduling the work, I received a response the following day stating that I now needed to contact her husband to coordinate everything before they would proceed. At that point, the process was already becoming far more complicated than it needed to be. I reached out to him, explained that I was excited to move forward with the project, and was told he wanted to visit the job site first. That seemed perfectly reasonable, so I asked when he would like to meet. Unfortunately, I never received another response despite my willingness to proceed. At that point, I concluded that they either weren't interested in taking on the project or that communication simply wasn't a priority. Either way, I would have appreciated a straightforward answer rather than being left waiting. Their trees appeared to be of good quality, and I have no complaints about the products themselves. However, customer service and communication are just as important. I was ready to spend the money, but the buying process became unnecessarily difficult, and in the end, I was simply ghosted. I ultimately wasted time driving to the nursery, waiting for a quote, attempting to move forward, and trying to coordinate the project, only to receive no further communication. That's not the level of customer service I expect from a business.
