Since we are back in Montana we were waiting for this place to open and it did on 3/30/17. It has a great market with basic essentials so there is no need to make the trip north it is so convenient having this place right here in Trego. We went in the pub for food the menu is panini's and salads. I had the turkey havarti cheese panini with cranberry aioli and husband had the chefs salad. My panini was served with chips and was very tasty, but hubbys salad was awesome, ham, turkey, cheese, olives, tomatoes, cucumber and onions with the best ranch dressing. They put a little dill in their ranch and it was yummy. Check it out great beer and wine selection in town.

I had waited awhile to check this place out and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the teri-beef special and the meet was incredibly tender and sauce was perfect. As a rule, I'm not a beer drinker by nature but I enjoy a wheat beer now and them. Tom recommended the Hellgate out of Phillipsburg if I recall correctly, and it was quite smooth. Can't wait to try many more specials.

Great local hangout in Trego,Mt. Craft beer, great wine, champagne & cider. Menu is panninis, salads, nachos & chips and salsa...I have tasted all of them and loved the freshness of ingredients as well the ability to change if I didn't like a certain item. Service is tremendous and this local place is happy to have you here. If you want to know the people of Montana, stop by...locals hang out here!

We went to the Thirsty Bear in Waterton, Canada for lunch today at our tour director's suggestion…read more It was fantastic! Hunter was our waitress. She did just the right amount of checking back. There when we needed her but never intrusive. The menu was very creative. One in our party had bison stew. Since it's near buffalo jump UNESCO site, really appropriate. Two had a gourmet hotdog. I had Cauliflower tacos. I am going to try to figure out how to make them when I get home. They were delicious! We are so happy we stopped there. We highly recommend them!

Sam, I appreciate the apology and the fact that you took the time to personally address the…read moresituation. I also respect that corrective action was taken with the staff involved. That said, I want to address one part of your response because I think it deserves some clarity. I never called your staff racist. I never called your business racist. I never claimed that race dictated how I was treated. I stated a simple fact about my experience: I was the only person of color in the restaurant. A factual observation is not an accusation. What is particularly interesting is that your response is the one that repeatedly introduces the subject of racism, ethnic diversity, and the racial makeup of your ownership and management. I never questioned the ethnicity of your owners, managers, or employees, nor did I suggest that their backgrounds somehow determined their behaviour. You don't need to defend yourself against an allegation I never made. I can acknowledge that the comment about my appearance was inappropriate, acknowledge that your staff have been reprimanded and received additional training, and still describe exactly how the situation looked and felt from my perspective. Those things are not contradictory. And with respect, whether the employees are "good kids" isn't really the point. Good people can make poor decisions, and accountability means recognizing the behaviour without needing to make excuses for the people involved. From what you've described, that's exactly what you have done--and I respect that. What I don't appreciate is having my words reinterpreted into something more inflammatory than what I actually said, and then being given an explanation for an accusation I never made. I described my experience. You supplied the accusation. I'm perfectly comfortable standing behind what I wrote, because I chose my words carefully. If me stating a factual observation made you uncomfortable, that doesn't make the observation unfair, discriminatory, or inappropriate. I appreciate your apology. I simply expect the same level of fairness in how my words and experience are represented. Sam, one last clarification regarding the shots. I have no issue acknowledging that our server was kind enough to get them for us, and I respect her gesture. But I would hardly consider something coming out of an employee's own pocket something the establishment should be presenting as evidence of its own generosity. If anything, that distinction makes the gesture more meaningful because it came from her personally--not from the business. We didn't ask for the shots, request them, or expect them. They were simply placed on the table. We also declined having the bill covered. So I would leave that particular detail alone. Attempting to use an unsolicited gesture from your server as a favourable footnote to the incident doesn't improve the story--it only highlights who actually showed generosity and professionalism that evening. I have said everything I needed to say. The record can speak for itself. I wish you, your staff, and your business continued success. For once and for all, consider the matter respectfully closed.
