What an amazing place this is!! The owner went WAY out of her way to help me with a lost dog. I stopped back in to let her know I had found my dog and ordered some lunch and it was outstanding! Place has many many essentials too. Also found out they do great concert series of great local musicians. This is the place to check out for sure!

Had a wonderful visit to HRB. Flannery and Danny were very personable, great customer service! the view was amazing! returned for a second time to have the yummy huckleberry margarita and smothered weasel fries taking some of her wonderful baked goods home for the next morning w coffee. They made the bumpy road to get there smoother!

Terrie with the view her GG would have seen.

We stopped by in July of 2017 while searching for the Schoenberger Homestead Historic Landmark. The owners had knowledge of my wife's family and informed us some are still on the property. The land was deeded back to the government in the late 1970s by my wife's Great Grandmother. Being present when this occurred she had always wanted to go see it. That we did and had a bonus of great people serving great food and the PIE!! You have to come for the most excellent pie and ice cream. As of this writing we are planning on visiting again soon. Hope to see you then.

Huckleberry peach pie! Don't make the same mistake I did and share with your husband...get your own slice!

We ate here two nights in a row because we loved it SO much! The first night it was after 8pm and I'm not even sure if they were still supposed to be open and they served us anyway. The owners and staff were SUPER friendly. The food...was AMAZING! We all had the cheeseburgers (smash burgers )which were OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! And do not leave without getting a slice of the homemade huckleberry peach pie a la mode, of course. The owner makes it herself, and it it To Die For! I would drive back to MT from LA just for the pie! Added bonus...Cold Beer and outdoor games to keep the kids entertained after they've driven you to drinking all day. Also, I hear they have live music occasionally and brunch on Sundays which unfortunately we were not in town for. Do not miss out on this place if your find yourself near Polebridge!

This place is AWESOME!!!! We were hiking up near Polebridge and worked up a hunger so stopped for a late lunch. So surprised to find a restaurant in the middle of nowhere! A beautiful building with super friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered the apple walnut salad with a pork topping and huckleberry vinaigrette dressing. What a great combo! The salad was super fresh and the pork was tender and juicy. And the fries! We shared an order of fries and they were amazing. Lots of seasoning and delicious without any ketchup or ranch. But they gave us both :) Gabi was super friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her and sharing montana wilderness stories.

We pulled in to Home Ranch Bottoms on our way to the Polebridge entrance of Glacier National Park because the signs along the dirt road were so enticing. The ones we passed included: "Free Internet!", "Hot Showers!", and "$2 Beer!" It was only about 10am but the "$2 Beer" was the deciding sign. We decided to hold off on drinking any until after our hike through Glacier, but stopping at Home Ranch Bottoms turned out to be a great idea. The place has laundry, showers, bathrooms, a bar, free internet, food service, and almost anything you could think to buy of local flavor. There's no electricity, only a generator, because it is literally in the middle of nowhere, so in the bathrooms you have to pump a switch to turn on a light. It's the only thing around for miles and I got the feeling campers in Glacier frequent it during the warmer summer months. The man who runs the place is a character himself. He's retired and spends the summer season at Home Ranch Bottoms conversing with the nomads wandering through his store. It seems like a pretty awesome way to live and he was extremely enjoyable. If you're on your way to Polebridge, Home Ranch Bottoms is a must-stop.

We were seated within five minutes in a room with a view of the street. It was raining outside, and it felt nice and cozy inside the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and checked in on how we were doing regularly. We ordered the Tot-chos (half order to share among six people) and I also got a huckleberry soda for myself as well as the bison (classic) burger with sweet potato fries. For dessert, we shared two scoops of huckleberry ice cream (from Sweet Peaks), the bread pudding and the beignets. I loved the Tot-chos, and the half order was honestly a pretty big size already! The huckleberry soda was pretty sweet (I think it had 41 grams of sugar), but I don't regret trying it. The bison burger wasn't bad, it definitely tasted similar to beef, but it was a huge burger so I couldn't finish it. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. In terms of the dessert, I had gone to Sweet Peaks already and liked their huckleberry flavor a lot, so I was excited to see them on the menu. People at my table loved the bread pudding. I thought the beignets were not bad, but they weren't as good as the other desserts.

She did just the right amount of checking back. There when we needed her but never intrusive. The menu was very creative. One in our party had bison stew. Since it's near buffalo jump UNESCO site, really appropriate. Two had a gourmet hotdog. I had Cauliflower tacos. I am going to try to figure out how to make them when I get home. They were delicious! Sam, I appreciate the apology and the fact that you took the time to personally address the…read moresituation. I also respect that corrective action was taken with the staff involved. That said, I want to address one part of your response because I think it deserves some clarity. I never called your staff racist. I never called your business racist. I never claimed that race dictated how I was treated. I stated a simple fact about my experience: I was the only person of color in the restaurant. A factual observation is not an accusation. What is particularly interesting is that your response is the one that repeatedly introduces the subject of racism, ethnic diversity, and the racial makeup of your ownership and management. I never questioned the ethnicity of your owners, managers, or employees, nor did I suggest that their backgrounds somehow determined their behaviour. You don't need to defend yourself against an allegation I never made. I can acknowledge that the comment about my appearance was inappropriate, acknowledge that your staff have been reprimanded and received additional training, and still describe exactly how the situation looked and felt from my perspective. Those things are not contradictory. And with respect, whether the employees are "good kids" isn't really the point. Good people can make poor decisions, and accountability means recognizing the behaviour without needing to make excuses for the people involved. From what you've described, that's exactly what you have done--and I respect that. What I don't appreciate is having my words reinterpreted into something more inflammatory than what I actually said, and then being given an explanation for an accusation I never made. I described my experience. You supplied the accusation. I'm perfectly comfortable standing behind what I wrote, because I chose my words carefully. If me stating a factual observation made you uncomfortable, that doesn't make the observation unfair, discriminatory, or inappropriate. I appreciate your apology. I simply expect the same level of fairness in how my words and experience are represented. Sam, one last clarification regarding the shots. I have no issue acknowledging that our server was kind enough to get them for us, and I respect her gesture. But I would hardly consider something coming out of an employee's own pocket something the establishment should be presenting as evidence of its own generosity. If anything, that distinction makes the gesture more meaningful because it came from her personally--not from the business. We didn't ask for the shots, request them, or expect them. They were simply placed on the table. We also declined having the bill covered. So I would leave that particular detail alone. Attempting to use an unsolicited gesture from your server as a favourable footnote to the incident doesn't improve the story--it only highlights who actually showed generosity and professionalism that evening. I have said everything I needed to say. The record can speak for itself. I wish you, your staff, and your business continued success. For once and for all, consider the matter respectfully closed.
