This was hands down the worst hair service experience ever, and I feel obligated to warn others so they don't make the same mistake. My daughter went to Rylie for hair extension installation expecting professional work and left with severely damaged hair that she is now struggling to repair. From the start, the process felt rushed and careless and Rylie had a nasty attitude. The extensions were installed with excessive tension, improper placement, and zero concern for the health of the natural hair. Within days, my daughter experienced intense scalp pain, breakage, and noticeable hair loss. Instead of enhancing her hair, this service destroyed it. She now has uneven patches, weakened strands, and damage that will take months--if not longer--to recover from. A hair extension install should never leave someone afraid to touch or brush their own hair. I was a long-term client whose regular stylist was on maternity leave. During that time, communication from the salon was extremely poor -- messages went unanswered and there was no clear system for managing or transitioning clients. Because of this lack of communication, I ultimately sought services elsewhere. At that appointment, a licensed stylist evaluated a recent full reinstallation of my top row of extensions performed at this salon and identified a serious concern with the installation. I was informed that the weft contained too little extension hair, resulting in too much of my natural hair being pulled into a single attachment point, creating unsafe tension at the scalp and a risk of traction damage or hair loss if left in longer. This was not an overdue install. It was a recent, full reinstallation. Notably, my bottom row -- which had not been serviced for months (my decision) -- did not show the same level of tension, further indicating the issue stemmed from the installation itself rather than normal wear or timing. This was especially alarming given that the salon recommends repeated "move-ups" (approximately $200 per row), which another stylist explained can compound tension over time and increase the risk of damage when an install is already compromised. When I attempted to ask questions and communicate concerns during my appointment with the stylist, Rylie, who performed the service, the responses felt passive-aggressive and dismissive, making it difficult to advocate for my hair health or feel supported. After leaving an initial, carefully worded review, the salon responded not with accountability, but with defensive and threatening language, including statements that my review was "malicious," "unfounded," and "legally documented." This response was deeply disappointing and reinforced my decision to no longer trust this business with my hair or concerns. I don't get my haircut often, has I have been trying to grow it out, but needed a trim to clean up my ends. Trend Salon was the perfect spot, I appreciated that I didn't need to book a 60$ haircut that includes styling when it was late in the day and no plans after. It was easy to book an appointment online and add any other service you may need. There is good amount of parking in back, and the salon itself is so cute. There are hair products and jewelry to browse before or after your appointment. They normally use Laplet products, which is great for your hair, when I stopped in they were sampling K18 products, another great hair product. My cut was with Haley, who was great! She is very attentive and makes sure she understands what you're looking for as well as offering helpful suggestions. I definitely recommend and plan to be back for my next haircut. read more

Don't go unless you want your hair BURNED off, charged 750 for FRIED hair, and then berated bc you're upset about your hair. I was told they'd fix my hair, but it's still extremely damaged and they charged me the full 750 for burning my hair off. My hair is still extremely damaged and Jessica, the boss, treated me horribly. I was told she would contact me about a partial refund, but as always, Trend Salon lies. Do not go here and do not see Gabi. Here's the full story, since the owner does not want to own up to their mistakes. I went in on May 8th for a cut and all over color. I have been coloring my hair for almost 5 years, so I know exactly how my hair behaves with bleach and color. I have NEVER had an issue with bleach on my hair before, but Gabi left bleach on it for over 45 minutes. When she brushed my hair out, she was hiding that my hair was already breaking. I know some breakage is normal, but she was literally grabbing clumps from the brush and throwing them to the ground before I could see them. I was there for over 5 hours and not even given a quote for how much my hair would be. I had a more complex color done last time and only paid around $350. Gabi literally would leave the bleach on and go outside to talk on the phone, which left the bleach on for TOO LONG. After I went home and took a shower a few days later, my hair was literally snapping off. I called the salon and explained and they said they would give me some products to help heal my hair from breakage. Then they said they would give me a complimentary service as well. I went in and they CHARGED me for this. I eventually got my money back for that, but then they gave me some products that I never asked for. I would have rather received my MONEY BACK instead of some overpriced items. I was told we would discuss the refund at that appointment, but the owner never did. Then, I called and was clearly still upset and frustrated that I was being charged $750 for DESTROYING my hair (which it's still extremely damaged) and was told to "calm down" by the owner. She was extremely rude and demeaning. Your stylist messed up and destroyed my hair. You should own up to that and actually give the customer's money back instead of items that are so overpriced and don't even work. I will never be back and I will tell people to never go to your salon. The fact that you are fine with stylists messing up customer's hair and not providing any kind of refunds, even PARTIAL like I offered, is horrible service. I offered to pay for the products used, but I wanted my tip back. Gabi doesn't deserve that after the hack job she did. read more

We brightened it up for the warmer weather and even when she wasn't happy with the slow process, she kept going to achieve the perfect hair! This is hands down the absolute BEST hair salon in the area. When I move this summer I will either fly in to go here or cry because I have never had a better place. I first came to trend salon in 2022 after battling cancer. I didn't lose my hair during treatment, but it definitely went through a lot before coming to the salon. It was half dead, half broken, and half grown out from past bleach after cancer treatment. Jessica is the owner and she oversees all stylists while managing her own clients. She does a great job teaching newer stylists so they can aspire to reach her level of expertise. I have seen Taylor and Riley who both did great jobs and who I would definitely trust anytime. I prefer to see Jessica as she is the most experienced and has been with me through my journey. I am also insanely picky about my hair and it is impossible to have any complaints with her. Despite all her experience she is constantly striving to learn new methods and give me the absolute best results possible. I have had people tell me they've never seen such an amazing bleach job before. I promise you that if you want to go from a LEVEL 3 (super dark) to PLATINUM blonde (which is extremely difficult) then Jessica is THE stylist for you. Taylor is also very good and Riley is rising up rapidly in experience level. Coming to this salon makes me feel at ease and comfortable. I have been looking for a stylist/salon to love in Milwaukee for YEARS, and I'm super excited that I think I've found the one! I recently had an awful experience at another popular Milwaukee salon, and the initial "project" of my hair was...rough. I had grown out highlights and a bad root color, and my hair felt broken. Ashley was great to work with - from the second I sat down in the chair, she was honest, but also listened to what I wanted and explained how we would get there. She made me feel hopeful that my hair wasn't hopeless and was respectful of my feelings. I couldn't be more happy with the end products of how my hair turned out - EXACTLY how I wanted it to look from the jump - and her honesty about regular maintenance was so appreciated! So happy she was able to correct my mess, and bring back some of the confidence I'd lost with my last salon. Being a hairstylist myself, I know how difficult it can be to reach "unrealistic" hair goals. I've been trying to get my hair nice, long, and healthy after years of being blonde and had dark hair with red undertones. I recently moved from CA to WI, and the first thing I did was research a hair salon because I want to be a nice healthy blonde for my wedding in September. I came across Trend Salon on yelp, went to their website, and made my first appt with Kelly. I was not disappointed. I was greeted by the owner and she was super friendly and accommodating. When I had my consultation, we went over my hair ultimate hair goals. Kelly was very understanding, patient, and informed me with realistic goals for our first appt. She even went as far as to correct the tone of my money piece (front piece) as it was a little brighter compared to the rest of my hair. I left pretty happy with my hair considering I had a lot of brassy undertones. Today I had my second appt and I LOVE MY NEW BLONDE. As we reached the end of my appt, Kelly herself informed me that the underneath of my hair needed more dimension / brightening but she didn't want compromise the integrity of my hair and also didn't have time to correct it so she offered to take me in the following Thursday , free of charge to correct it. Something I love about Kelly is that she takes pride in what she does and she will go out of her way to correct something she sees wrong, before I even mention it! She outlined what we would be doing and gave me a timeline so I knew what to expect. The work that she did was AMAZING. I received very poor service. From my experience, the owner was egotistical, definitely had an attitude and didn't listen to me. She cut layers in my hair that I didn't like or want despite consultations/discussions. I was clearly unhappy.
